office says it was an act of violence, a 37-year-old woman was stabbedself times and police have identified a possible suspect but no arrests are made. haas says the victim is a mother about now children were there at the time. two other adults were though. the victim was air-lifted to the medical center. >> her neck was injured and her face was black and blue and scratches all over. >> police continue to investigate. a 27-year-old man was found shot to death on the streets of trenton earlier this morning. police don't know why he was targeted. this is the scene along the 1400 block of edgewood avenue after midnight. police tell "action news" that the victim was morrisville, buck county. from our new jersey newsroom. a 4-year-old virginia girl the focus of an amber alert is safe with family members.

annabel richardson and her father dylan richardson were found in monroe county. an amber alert was released for the pair and richardson turned himself in and will face criminal charges. the plane crash earlier last month was caused by power loss according to investigators. wayne gillcrest and passenger 72-year-old david micic. the men were suspected upside down before being rescued. the pilot reported problems with the throttle prior to the crash. a north hamilton county man is suing the casino where he beat up his girlfriend sending him to prison for in our years. he claims the sands casino

served him too many drinks and caused him to do the assault. he claims his life was ruined and he cannot find a job. the philadelphia school system is making changes for the 2017-2018 school year. they will introduce new calendars at the reform meeting. under the plan, class would begin september 5th before labor day and finish june 14th. this year the first day was september 7th and the term is expected to be completed on june 20th. if approved the district would be more in line with other schools around the region. center city protesters gather this morning to draw attention to a controversial pipeline project in north dakota. they converged outside of municipal building, hoping to get the attention of army corps engineer who issued a permit for

through and things are improving. the temperature is 60 degrees that is an improvement over this morning down in the 40s. winds from the north at 10 miles per hour. breezy and jacket not a bad idea, maybe a sweatshirt if that is not your thing. the rain is gone the afternoon looks dry. 60 in philadelphia and 60 in trenton and 59 in millville and 56 in cape may and 61 in dover delaware. satellite and radar shows the rain that came through in the morning it did not rain everywhere. most of it was in the eastern half of the region and a blip in southern chester county than appears to be pushing to the north and we see more of a breakup in the clouds down south. in the lehigh valley we look at mostly cloudy skies with sunny breaks and the drying that you see going on right now will continue, 58 degrees is the forecast high. not too bad on the thermometer, down the shore mostly cloudy skies and sun mixing in. afternoon drying of course is on the way right now and 54 degrees is the high right down along the

coast, cooler down by the water. in philadelphia a high of 62 degrees clouds mixing with sun and breezy with winds running 8 to 16 miles per hour. for the evening commute with all the autumnal fall foliage, getting thinner on trees these days. 63 at 5:00, and sunny breaks and 57 at 6:00 and down to 7:00 you are talking 53 degrees. so getting cool and dipping down into the 40s overnight. in philadelphia, we'll go down to 41 for a low. and a lot of outlying suburbs will be cool and i expect a lot of you will wind up in the 30s when you wake up early tomorrow morning. but tomorrow afternoon things are improving, clear skies and expecting a fair amount of sunshine early in the day and high of 62 degrees with sun returning and milder conditions, there will be a wave that comes through at night that could trigger a brief sprinkle or shower here or there tomorrow
