good afternoon in the news a train crash creates a massive fuel spill in florida and new concerns over president-elect trump's transition team. and the big story is a robbery at a pizza shop in bucks coins. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live at the scene with all the details. >> reporter: rick, police say that one of robbers died and the other is in critical but stable condition after a customer shot them in the middle of a robbery. the police say that the customer is a local business owner and stopped here on his way home from work to pick up food when two robbers burst in. >> two robbers entered the store in a rapid, aggressive violence manner. >> it was near 10:00 p.m. near

closing in levittown. >> they had dark clothing and backpacks and face masks and gloves and brandishing guns. >> a cook and customer was up front. >> i don't know if they expected the customer to be there. one robber went toward the clerk and the other went left to a customer. police say they were yelling demands at the customer who complied and backed away and knocked to the ground and pistol whip. the customer who has a pesh mit to carry pulled his glock pistol from the holster. as the guy turned back towards him he discharged run round into that subject. >> the suspect fell and died at the scene and the customer turned to the one pointing a gun at the clerk and fired twice, he

turned to flee but collapsed. they were back at the shop that remains closed today. today the owner says they are grateful for that customer. >> he is part of the family now. >> a hero. >> pretty much he is a hero. he acted like he was not nervous at all. he see it and moved roly fast and he got him. thanks to that guy. >> reporter: and they do have a sign posted at the front of the store thanking all of their customers for their support. this remains under investigation by the attorneys office and police. they have surveillance video of this entire incident. it's too early to know if childs will be filed now but it feels now that the customer acted in self-defense. katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. six families are being helped by the american red cross, after fire tore through

townhomes here in delaware county. it happened last night on linda lane in aston. a firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze, gray hall will bring us more details in our next half hour. investigators are trying to determine the cause a fire in the city's brewery section that killed an 80-year-old woman. the fire broke out just before 7:30 last night on the 1400 block of north hollywood street. it took firefighters 15 minutes to get it under control when they got into the house they found the woman lifeless on the living room floor. president-elect donald trump is reportedly having trouble with his transition team. as he and his vice presidential elect mike pence huskered down in new york city. trying to build a cabinet. and firing and lack of communication with agencies. all of which trump denied in a

twitter post. lets get the latest from washington now. >> reporter: good afternoon. now that he is the official president-elect the world is following every move of donald trump even closer than before. and so far the incoming president doesn't like the scrutiny. after being held up inside of the trump tower for days, donald trump finally escaped from his sky creper, it showed trump and his family getting a standing ovation during dinner. he left without telling the pool of journalists assigned to cover his every move. they said going forward there would be a better plan in place. this comes amidst reports of turmoil in team trump. tom rogers is out reportedly force to resign and spoke out on cnn. >> i think there is confusion coming on from a chain of

republican government. chuck schumer will be leader and schumer says his team plans to work with donald trump on issues where they agree and challenge him when values or progress are under assault. president barack obama is on his final foreign trip at president and the first stop was the birth place of democracy. athens, greece he took a trip to the ancient acropolis, the first visit by a u.s. president since 1990 with bill clinton. and the president credited their ancestors for giving birth to our system of government. a democracy could be complicated but it's better than the alternative. because it allows us to peacefully work through differences. >> you may notice that the next american president and i cannot be more different.

we have very different points of view but american democracy is begger than any one person. >> from there president obama traveled to berlin and after that he will go on to peru. all right, turning to our weather now it's a mild day for november. as we look from sky 6 hd over center city right now, it's a bright day and lots of sunshine, meteorologist, david murphy is outside enjoying it all and join us with the first check of the accuweather forecast. >> another nice afternoon building across the region, we have high clouds beginning to filter in and mixing with the sunshine the rest of the way. that stuff has managed to reach in and sprinkles and showers in western pennsylvania and it's possible that a bit of that makes it through our neck of the woods later this evening. if we do see some of that it's a sprinkle in most cases. 60 in wilmington and 60 in trenton and allentown where we started out in the 30s, we are

at 58. so everybody is beginning to improve beach haven jumping up to 58. and a breeze records at the top of the hour in philadelphia. a lot of spots in the single digits and we are back and forth from numbers on the low end 5 to 6 miles per hour and high end for what you have now in philadelphia. a mild one again today, 63 is your forecast high well above the forecast high of 56. the overnight low 46 degrees, that is not quite as close to the normal low, so we'll wind up a little bit cool tonight but not too bad. and better than this past overnight. the forecast over the next 24 hours, the numbers jump quickly tomorrow afternoon. again we should get up into the low 60s and the upper 60s not out of the question as we head towards the end of the week and the weekend. i'll have more on that for the

exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. it's not bad out here, the wind not bad and a nice autumn afternoon. breaking news out of minnesota a police officer is charged with second degree manslaughter in the killing of philando castillo. it was captured live and sparked protest. the officer fatally shot the man outside of a traffic stop and castillo's girlfriend was reaching for his i.d. after telling him he had a gun mer pit and was armed . and now a revitalization product in philadelphia. for the shareswood neighborhood near north 24th street. 57 new rental units are available and more are in the process of being built. >> a new supermarket is part of the plan and i know how critical

4,000 gallons of fuel is now leaking after two trains collided in marion county, florida. in the central part of the state. the crash happened at 4:30 this morning and at least 20 train cars derailed leaving a mangled mess of steel along the tracks one was carrying coal and the other fertilizer. flights are back to normal after will rogers airport after an airlines employee was shot and killed yesterday. the police say that the gunman is a former southwest employee angry following circumstances around his resignation and the victim was also a southwest employee, but not the gunman's supervisor, it forced a grown stop, the gunman lloyd dean buoy was founded of a self inflicted gunshot wound. he may have won the election

but residents of three apartment buildings in manhattan do not want donald trump's name on their building and they won. construction workers started to remove the name from the upper west side. they signed a petition to dump trump's name last month. the buildings are not owned by donald trump but no longer retains ownership in the property. a segment of the eiffel tower staircase is set to be auctioned off later this month. the segment is 8.5 feet long part of the original staircase cut into pieces in 1983 and was replaced with an elevator for safety reasons and this could go for $42,000. >> it would like in your house. >> i rode that elevator many times that is for sure. coming up amazon reveals their best deals for the season. >> why virtual reality could

meteorologist, david murphy is here now with a closer look at a nice forecast for the afternoon. what month is this? >> it's chilly in the morning but you sleep in but it's nice in the afternoon. a nice stretch coming. >> that didn't answer my question. >> okay as we step outside. it's dry and we have a fair amounts of sunshine and you see that on sky 6 hd still filtering through the high clouds and we get cloudier as the day goes on and looks like a good one today. 61 on the thermometer, a jump up to the low 60s after starting in the low to mid-40s in philadelphia and 30s in some suburbs. a wind out of the west not a constant wind and not all that breezy most of the time. 60 in trenton and wilmington and upper 50s in allentown and 60 in millville and 58 in cape may. satellite shows you how we

started out with sunshine and bright across the region, we do have the clouds coming in from the west. and embedded in the clouds every now and then you get a sprinkle or shower and we may see that late today or this evening in a couple of neighborhoods, don't think it will amount to much though. overall lots of sun and clouds in the lehigh valley. and high of 62 down the shore sunny still with most of new jersey under a lot of sunshine and just a few clouds. may cloud up later but nice with a high of 64. in philadelphia mostly sunny with high clouds filtering over the rest of the afternoon. a high of 63 degrees and winds overall on the light side. not too terribly winnie. for the evening commute you'll want your sunglasses, sun and clouds and 58 at 5:00 after sun down and 56 by 6:00 and not a severe drop. down to 46 tonight and a sprinkle around not a lot of

rain. partly cloudy skies otherwise and winds dipping back to 10 to 15 miles per hour and turning north and west. as we look out to the west we see a lot of mild air building, 62 currently in saints lose, not far to the south 73 degrees in memphis and up close to 70 in wichita, kansas, and we have a lot of influence from that ridge of high pressure from the west coming into our neck of the woods and we'll get into the upper 60s by the end of the week. mid to upper 60s friday and saturday ahead of a front. and behind that front it's november and comes back in full force. in the 60s today and tomorrow and friday. and also saturday and on sunday. that is the day we transition to cooler air with highs in the 40s and strong blustery winds and a little bit of cold rain at times. your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast enjoy the stretch for now. 63 and sun today and mild and 62 and very nice and a lot of sun and sunny and milder on friday

stories we are following for you on "action news" at 12:30. fire causes townhomes in delaware county to burn almost completely to the ground. a full report on this devastating loss for the homeowners, and learning his fate for hypnotizing female kleins for his pleasure. now, the details, a firefighter was hurt and four townhomes damaged in a ranging blaze in delaware county. it started late last night in the reserve development in aston and the chaos forced everyone in the row of homes to be evacuated. gray hall has the latest from the scene. >> reporter: people living in this neighborhood says this fire was ferocious and frightening and were thankful there were no serious injuries. cell phone video captures the scene as fire rips through townhomes at 11:00 p.m.
