one man behind bars. this is video of an armed robbery in progress at a freight company in sharon hill. police are searching for the two bandits and the individuals that when to pick up the drugs in the first place. chad pradelli with the story. >> reporter: yes jim, you have one free company and a load of drugs worth nearly a million dollars and now police in darby and the dea is trying to figure out who is responsible. >> this is surveillance of one arm the suspect storming a freight country in chestnut hill and orders two employees to the ground and lets his partner inside and flees with a box police assume has narcotics but they own got away with one of two boxes shipped from the same address in california to sharon hill. the second one left behind

contained much of this high grade marijuana and cocaine. >> two kilos of cocaine and approximately a block of about 50 pounds of marijuana. after police responded and found the second box they began checking surveillance video and soon learned another robbery occurred outside of freight company an hour earlier and was never reported. this man picked up the shipment, walked outside and was robbed by two men inside of this minivan. what is in the box was unclear but police would like to speak to the robbery victim. >> we are sure it's grown movement and not through the air. >> shest investigators set up an undercover operation at the freight company and this man picked up a third box again shipped from california and police recovered more narcotics and coote as charged with drug charges. >> he is not cooperating at this

time. >> he remains behind bars on $400,000 cash bail and this investigation still ongoing. i'm live in darby, chad pradelli, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. it was an unusual sight from chopper 6 hd from philadelphia late this afternoon a hot air balloon made a landing at the mcveigh center in kensington. it was an advertisement for home depot and heading for the store at roosevelt boulevard when it encountered problems and the balloon was forced to land at a field at d and westmore lan streets. police arrested a teacher's aide after they say she had sexual contact with two male students. sherry mullford was charged in kennett square this afternoon. mullford worked as a substitute teachers aide at unionville high

school and the incidents happened in august and september allegedly off school property. a customer who was armed with a gun stopped an attempted robbery dead in its tracks last night in levittown. walter perez is live in doylestown and walter you have all the details. >> that customer is being hail aid hero tonight and a short time ago the buck county da is pressing charges against the customer he will not. >> the owners of pizza in levittown says twot gunman walked into the shop at closing time last night. >> everything happened so fast. everything got crazy. >> the only other person in the pizzeria at the time was an unidentified customer. one suspect aimed his weapon at the clerk and then the other hit

the customer over the head with his weapon. >> when he looked the other way the customer pulled out a .45 caliber handgun from underneath his jacket and shot the man that pistol whipped him once in the torso killing him. >> the customer fired on the second gunman hitting him in the neck and shoulder. the gunman that died is identified as sean rose and the other is his 22-year-old brother justin rose. and the owners had high praise for their heroic customer. >> he became part of the family now. >> pretty much he is a hero. >> this photo shows all three of the weapons used last night. the customers gun on the right is a real .45 caliber handgun, the ones on the right belong to the suspect that are air soft pistols but that the look and feel of a .45. the customer will not face charges. >> he is a lifelong law biding

citizen and you get credit for that a business owner that had the gun solely for his own protection and thank god he did last night. >> that surviving gunman remains in critical condition tonight at jefferson university hospital and all we can report about the customer is that he is a 35-year-old business owner in eastern buck county where he is now a local hero. walter perez, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a montgomery county judge denied bill cosby's latest attempt to have his sexual assault case thrown out that clears the way for the 79-year-old to go on trial by june. still undecided that his deposition from a lawsuit that a civil try could be used in this trial. another hearing on that is set for next month. it was another post election protest this afternoon in ardmore, this was not a one

him you stand against minorities. >> why here in lower merion? >> they have a history of racial profiling and a member of the union that endorsed trump. we are local students and concerned citizens and we will not stay silent. >> supporters of police are vocal. >> they want to cause havoc. most people in our area voted for hillary clinton. >> for me the kids are misguided and i respect their right to come out here. i'll tell you now that generation of kids, they are troubled. and you know it's good we had the older generations coming out here to get right back at them. >> when it was all over the demonstrations ended peacefully, both sides were heard and nobody got hurt. we are live at the lower merion police headquarters.

strike up the band and ring the bell. the salvation army's red kettle campaign kicked off in center city with the help of one ducis rogers. ducis served ladles of fresh soup cooked by the culinary arts program. the red kettle donations are the red donation kettles set up throughout the area until december 24th. tis the season for people to give some of their time for the benefit of others. >> we have a lot of people out

fortescue, right towards the mouth of the delaware bay and all circumstancing to the southeast and skies are clearing out and we could use the rain, a lot more rain than that. the accuweather highlights after morning clouds and light showers, sunshine returns tomorrow and temperatures again will be on the mild side. we start at 44 at 7:00. and temperatures back up into the low 6:by early in the afternoon and skies should be clear tomorrow night. weekend whiplash though. we have a tale of two seasons this weekend. saturday it's going to feel almost lightning late spring. 69 degrees and very warm, ahead of a cold front, that front will likely bring us shower oz and saturday night and then the winds of change on sunday. sunday's high only 49 degrees and we'll have wind gusts 40 to 50 miles per hour so windchills will be in the 30s for the philadelphia marathon, windchilled will be in the 20s and i posted on my facebook page

some advise for running a marathon in the winds, because i have done that before. 56 degrees currently and 57 in cape may and allentown 50 and trenton 52 and temperatures will be generally in the 40s and 30s overnight and once this front moves through satellite 6 along with action radar showing we have a pocket of a few scattered showers and it moves through pretty quickly and becoming partly cloudy tonight and overnight low 46 in philadelphia and 39 in allentown and wilmington 42 and cape may 48 degrees. heading into tomorrow double barrel eye pressure coxing in and bringing us bright sunshine and mild temperatures like today 6 degree above average and 62 but it will feel warmer in the afternoon with the sunshine. heading into friday we get the winds really out of the southwest ahead of that cold front, 68 degrees 12 degrees above average and even warmer on saturday. before the temperatures crash on

sunday. and that winter chill will be arriving for the second half of the weekend. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. tomorrow mostly sunny and 62 and bump it up to 68 degrees on friday. and 69 before the cold front moves through bringing us some very chilly air for the philadelphia marathon on sunday, 49 degrees and perhaps a few snowflakes in the poconos and we keep the col air with a high of 48 and bump it up to 50 on tuesday and wednesday a big travel day with rain arriving wednesday night with a high of 55 and as i mentioned tune in to our winter outlook tomorrow at 11:00. it's a very different winter than last winter. >> what does that mean? >> you'll find out tomorrow night at 11:00. world news is david muir is next on channel 6. and "action news" continues at 10:00 on phl 17 with brian taff, sharrie williams, adam joseph and ducis rogers.
