dramatic smash and grab robberies in our region. and a connecticut man is found dead in new jersey and investigators found clues to his murder in an up scale new york apartment. "action news" learned there are felony and misdemeanor charges filed against a man suspected of filing a drone over protesters in center city. they arrested him last night, accused of operating the drone in restricted air space bringing it dangerously close to a philadelphia helicopter who were monitoring demonstrations from the air. they followed the drone south watched it land on the roof there and later took roselli into custody. a big change is headed our way from accuweather. looking live at sky 6 hd over center city. a sunny day with mild conditions and the next few days are even

and police spent the morning gathering surveillance video. surveillance video captured two men running from overnight gun fire, after bullets sprayed the west philadelphia block this morning. both sprinted by getano steaks and a 911 call from a father by home brought police to a shooting victim and also a blood trail, a man that didn't want to be identified at the home this morning says he was with the victim when he was shot in the harm in front of steak shop. they just bought fast food when they heard the shots and ran. across the street the police found shell casings and they are investigating and not ruling out if drugs were involved. the owner of the store cleaned up and a neighbor is concerned about coming and going here at night. >> that could happen, and wake me up. i'm concerned about the whole neighborhood as far as what that

tells about the area. >> reporter: and police say they will rely on real time cameras operated by the city in this area. at this point no arrests are made. reporting live in west philadelphia, annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. the ex-boyfriend wanted in connection with the murder of a south jersey mother is now in police custody. 38-year-old rashawn causy was arrested in burlington city. investigators say he broke into the home monday night and allegedly stabbed marshall several times in the head. and she succumbed to her injuries yesterday. norristown police arrested three men for shoplifting and now they are trying to figure out if these threes are responsible for a series of smash and grab robberies in the region. they say that the men robbed a macy's in norristown and if they

are the same men that robbed the boyds clothing store in center city and a smash and grab in northeast philadelphia. a police officer was injured in a three vehicle crash this morning. it happened at 7:30 at cross fields road in washington township. the accident involved a washington township police officer who was taken to the hospital for treatment. his injuries are not life-threatening and investigators are still piecing together what happened. councilwoman, blondell reynolds brown, can add hall-of-fame to herresume. she is a graduate of the elementary school and says it helped to shape her for service and she shared her motto with students and never rest until you good is better and your better best. >> i like that. >> me too. police in new york arrest the son of a jeweler to the

surveillance video from inside of a store captured the moment of a natural gas explosion from downtown canton, illinois. one person was killed and others injured and was caused by a contractor digging in the area and a utility crew was trying to make repairs when the explosion happened and it was one of the crew members that was killed . massachusetts a train crashed into a car splitting it into two but a driver and passenger miraculously survived and ran away from the scene. it happened in the town of revere, and the driver apparently struck another vehicle and was trying to get away and drove around the lowered crossing gates and the train was coming down the tracks, police have not found the man and woman inside of car. the body of a connecticut

man was stabbed in new jersey and they say he was stabbed to dental a party in manhattan. he had gone into the city and met a man that led him to a luxury building on the upper east side and was last seen alive on monday morning. and there was a substantial amount of blood in the apartment and have taken two people into custody including the son of a prominent jeweler whose clientses include oprah winfrey. >> a new report from the farm bureau says that a classic thanksgiving dinner calculated the cost, a 6 pound turkey, $22.74 and pumpkin pie is down 7 cents but things did go up. sweet potatoes are 3 cents more expen expensive. >> you lost me at pumpkin pie.

and boy oh boy. it's warm. >> nice afternoon today and really warm the nest couple of days. stormtracker 6 live double scan shows us we are dry this noon. which is always nice and as we look outside lots of sunshine and pretty picture earlier this morning at the korean veterans war memorial near penn's landing. i don't know if i ever saw a shot like that. 58 degrees is your temperature, pressure 30.05 inches and rising and winds from the northwest at 12 miles per hour. that is as strong as they will get and that is not that bad wind wise. temperatures shooting up he where. 60 in dover and 60 in millville and 6 8 in cape may. we is expect temperatures similar tomorrow. everybody within a couple of degrees of each other winding up in the low 60s. unlike yesterday we managed to get the big chunk of clouds along with a couple of sprinkles

and showers, and today the clouds are having a hard time making it south. high pressure is building in and opening up the skies for us with lots of blue out there. pleasant conditions with a high of 60 in the lehigh valley. and at the shore a high of 62 president-electee nice for this time of year and lots of sunshine by the water and pleasant conditions there. and in philadelphia more of the same, mostly sunny and pleasant and winds up to 6 to 12 miles per hour. and 62 degrees. above average for this date. and the commute sunglasses are required. 60 by 4:00 and by 5:00 sun is getting down over the horizon and 57 degrees, and by 6:00, 53 and clouds sink and overnight only down to 43 for a low. i could see the 30s in a lot of suburbs. but 43 in philadelphia is not

too bad. winds light and variable and clear. then we get to friday and an area of high pressure gets close toward us and a frontal boundary comes in from the west and the wrap around flow from the southwest gets us up to 68 degrees for a high tomorrow. that is 12 full degree as above average and sunshine and gorgeous and the next day, saturday, also looks very mild. upper 60s. then we look out for this big blue air mass out here, that is a lot cooler air charging down from the great lakes and really out of central canada and that will sweep in behind this front for sunday and you are going to see a major change in your seven day. 62 and mostly sunny and pleasant today. tomorrow 62 and mild and pleasant and 69 on saturday, and that is nice. behind that front here we go. blustery cold, 49 is the high

and windchills in the 30s on sunday. and not a lot of precipitation around but maybe wet snowflakes north and west and snow showers in the poconos. that is the change for sunday. and then we are still in the upper 40s on monday. actually we'll dip that down to 46, and the mid-40s looks to be the coolest day and we start to dig back into the 50s on tuesday and wednesday. looking good in the short-term now. >> a woman accidentsly invited a stranger to thanksgiving dinner and the man said yes. the woman thought she was text messaging her grandson but went to 17-year-old jamal hinton. when the pair exchanged pictures they realized it was a mixup and the mesa woman says she will save a plate for him any way because they save a plate for everyone. more ahead in our next half
