layers on, sweaters and scarf it's not enough to keep warm around here. when the winds whips up it makes you cold nonetheless the marathon goes on. spectators are gathering around, a wheelchair athlete just crossed the finish line to great ovation. let's bring up the video, this was the scene at eakens oval before the race, it was dark and cold. runners were doing everything they could to warm up for the run. they are huddling together for body heat. we spoke with spectators they are sitting for a while they don't have the luxury of running like the run errs, they had to layer up like i did. >> blankets thrown over sweatpants everything. >> reporter: everything you could find in your closet.

the man was taken to the hospital in stable condition. a man was shot and left for dead during an attempted robbery in north philadelphia overnight. police say the man was targeted on the 200 block of west cornwall street at 2:30 a.m. he suffered a gunshot to the police took him to temple university hospital in critical condition. no suspects in the attack. it was a true nightmare for a chester county family. they returned home after a night out and found their home on fire. this happened at midnight. crews battled the fire from the roof of the home. the father and three children said they were met with the flames as they opened the front door. they called 911. it took an hour to bring it under control. this morning the cause is under investigation. president-elect donald trump continues to meet with a wide variety of officials as he shapes the new administration. new jersey governor chris christie and new york city mayor

condition. police are trying to piece together what happened. police are searching for a gunman who shot a man three times in the stomach in the city's frankford section. the 33-year-old victim was discovered by officers at hawthorne street last night. he is in the hospital in critical condition. the driver who hit and killed a young girl is still out there on the run. police have identified the child as sayanna powell walking home from school with friends on friday when she was hit by the carat 63rd and landsdown avenue. she was rushed to children's hospital of philadelphia where she died from the injuries. >> my baby fought hard and then her heart stopped. >> i kept on talking to her telling her to hold on, hold on, baby daddy's here, mommy's here baby, please hold on.
