castle county, delaware. overall we're expecting sunshine in most neighborhoods. the temperature is 38 degrees in philadelphia. we're in the mid 30s in allentown, reading, wilmington, trenton. down to 33 not far above the freezing mark in millville. that may drop below freezing for a short period this morning. down in cape may, 43 degrees. the winds are not much of a factor we're only at 67 miles per hour in philadelphia. as we get past the bulk of the day, the breezes is come up and add to the chilly feel. if you're getting an exercise run in, put on extra gear. 37 degrees by 7:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m., 46 degrees. we'll be in the 50s by this afternoon, 3:00 p.m., 52. that's the high, it's pretty cool, by 6:00 p.m., back down to 43. again, a little bit breezy and cool today. nydia and gray we'll be back with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. there is much-need need rain often the way next week.

anyone with information should call new britain township police. happening today, a funeral and memorial service will be held for a young father shot to death outside the hamilton mall. 21-year-old jamal colten was shot to death. kauffman was a 2013 graduate of atlantic city high school and stand outwide receiver on the football team. >> we have a vial and and tense scene that played out in roxborough section. a heavily armed man began shooting from his home an river road. he shot at officers responding to the scene. police told people to shelter in place and clear the area. >> it was something like a tv show. everybody was evacuated except my mom and i were supposed to shelter in place. >> septa shut down the

norristown regional rail lines and walking and bike trails after several hours when officers could not contact an armed man. police sent in a robot and saw that he took his own life. they recovered guns from his home. the president of liberty university said president-elect donald trump offered him secretary of education. he wanted a 4 to 6 year commitment but he couldn't be away from the college for more than 2 years. fall well came under fire for students to carry concealed weapons. hillary clinton's campaign has joined the effort to push for a vote recount in wisconsin. officials in the state say they are moving forward with the first-ever presidential green count.

about this morning, a crash has shut down the noon turnpike in bordentown township. 8 cars have crashed and the road is closed between 7a and 7. there are minor injuries involved. "action news" is gathering details. we'll pass them along as soon as we get them. >> when firefighters arrived on the scene of an accident on friday, they found the wreckage of a car and four injured adults and 8-month-old baby was missing. someone heard someone coming from a grate 35 feet from the car. >> 8 month old was sitting up in the grate and looking up at

us waiting for us to pull her out. she wasn't screaming or crying, she was waiting for us. >> she more or less had her hands up ready for someone to pick her up. it took three of us to work her around the grate and get her back through. >> that is a miracle. the 8-month-old baby had scasms, but otherwise was fine. the child was not properly restrained in her seat belt. in virginia, the conditions are perfect for snow even it is is -- if it is artificial snow. they had to turn on the machines because mother nature has not provided the real stuff. >> i like the artificial stuff better. >> are you a skier? >> no. i don't like the real snow.

change. not only is it cloudy we get the arrival of rain possibly during the morning, this is the noon look where it looks like half of the two-thirds of the region seeing rain this will fill in pushing through the shore areas into tuesday afternoon. we're looking at a a couple of days of much-need need rain. the thing about the rainy days we're seeing the temperatures come up. monday it will be cool. the milder pocket of air will head east ahead of a cold front. when the rain arrives we'll see the temperatures go up. 52 degrees, mostly sunny and chilly today. tomorrow, 56, cool, but average for this time of the year. clouds and sun. tuesday, breezy, periods of rain arriving quickly in the day. we get up to 635 degrees. another 65 on wednesday. some of the rain might spill into thursday morning. in the afternoon it gets chilly.

on the 100 block of north dewy street. firefighters arrived moments later to find smoke coming from the first and second floors. everyone in the home had managed to get out safely, thankfully. crews had the fire under control in 15 minutes. there's no word on what caused the fire. police in delaware asking for your help as they investigate the mysterious death of a woman. the woman was lying on the side of the road in wilmington late friday night. a neighbor made the discovery and called police. this morning officers have no identity on the victim him an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. >> today marks the busiest travel day of the year for many who are going home from the

and cumberland county getting clipped that will not be around much longer. the additional cloud cover will break a part as it heads over the mountains and descends or when it drops toward the surface. it will squeeze a lot of clouds out. we have sun in the lehigh valley, breezy later on after sunup after we start moving through the day. 50 degrees. down the shore a similar profile with a fair amount of sunshine in play today. chilly conditions, 53 degrees, a little bit after breeze later in the day. 52 in philadelphia. with again, mostly sunny size, chilly obviously. there's the winds out of the west northwest 8 to 16 miles per hour. not wind that will bring down branches or something like that, but something that will add to the chill with the 52 on the thermometer. overnight tonight, the windese back, but we get down to 34 degrees in philadelphia. i could see the outlying suburbs

shooting of a man carrying a knife in maryland, it ended in tragedy when an infant died in the demonstration. baltimore police say the suspect who was the object of the protest refused to drop the two knives that he had. investigators say officers warned the man several times to drop the knives, they used a taser, but that did not stop him. that's when the officers opened fire shooting him several times. the suspect is recovering in the hospital. florida police hope the good images of two burglars will lead to the arrest. the two were caught on video breaking into a for fort laudere restaurant early saturday
