would shoot anyone let alone a 14-year-old. and detectives are desperate for information that could help lead to finding his killer. ian willsy was just 14 years old gunned down in his may fair neighborhood. the teen is seen here in this 2014 facebook picture. commissioner richard ross now with how disturbing this loss of life is. >> how you could be so cavalier to shoot a 14-year-old boy so callous it's unbelievable to me, i don't know what kind of threat he could have been to anybody. he and a friend were walking to the store and a neighbor heard the gun fire. >> you don't expect to hear the gunshots you think it's fireworks and after the first shot i'm like get away from the window. >> willsy tried to run but collapsed after being shot three times. >> i came out of the house and he was gone before i got there. >> we spoke to frank myers a

folktino. the bus hit her in the crosswalk trying to make a left-hand turn at 11:00 last night. vernon odom just spoke with police and will have a live update coming up at 4:30 today. a homeless man is under arrest accused of sexually assaulting a woman in bucks county. police say that 21-year-older ecanderson broke into a bensalem home and attacked the woman inside and identified him from a sunoco surveillance video. he is facing burglary and indecent assault. just yesterday 8-year-old gianna powell was laid to rest. her family and friends saying a final good-bye. a brand new push to find the hit and run driver who hit and killed her. gianna was crossing overbrook with her three siblings on the

way home from school when she was hit and the driver sped off. the hunt is on for the driver and today the city announced a $10,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction and add to that another $15,000 reward from the fraternal order of police just for an arrest. her parents say nothing will ever bring whack their little girl but are desperate for answers and closure. >> i can't describe the pain that i feel. the pain i would not want on my worst enemy. i guess nothing. that was my last good-bye, she is 8, no prom no graduate. no marriage, no grandkids. i guess nothing. >> you don't know how we are going to cope with christmas this year. >> police have released a picture of the car that hit her. you are looking at it right, there it is a silver nissan ultima, should have damage to one of the front headlights and

the front grill. again, today the family talking about the pain that they are in and street offering up to $25,000 along with that fop reward today and the family saying they are working on an additional $20,000 reward for any information that will get them this closure. >> thank you alicia. a deadly crash at newtown road in bucks county shut down today. a sedan crashed head-on into a trash truck at 1:30 this morning. and the driver of the car did not survive. they closed newtown at bristol road as officials investigated what led up to the crash. the firefighters had to use the jaws of life to rescue a come from her car after a crash. across from mills nursing home along paper mill road. she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. the bus driver has injuries but

the columbian air force is working now to recover the bodies of 75 people who died in a plane crash overnight. the flight carrying a brazilian soccer team on its way to a big match crash nood a hillside and broke into pieces, all but six people on board were killed. investigators say that the crew declared an emergency because of an electrical failure and flags are flying half staff outside of brazil soccer headquarters as the country mourns the sudden loss. we are learning new details about the man responsible for the attack at ohio university. they say that abdul artan moved to the us from pakistan two years ago and they originally came to the united states from

somalia as refugees, today they went door-to-door talking to neighbors and they say he plowed his car into pedestrians on campus and started to stab them with a knife. and a campus police officer shot and killed artan stopping the attack. donald trump added another name. elaine chow married to mitch mcconnell was also in george w. bush's cabinet serving as secretary of labor. and trump called for steeper penalties for anyone that burns an american flag. the supreme court twice confirmed the right to burn a flag as a right of free speech. demonstrators went to the street for jobs that are minimum

wage, fast food employees with mcdonald's walked off the job and went on strike. it happened outside of restaurant at 2nd and lehigh in north philadelphia. fast food cooks be cashiers here are among others protesting around the country. the group is pushing for $15 an hour and will hold disruptive strikes even at the risk of being arrested in order to get their point across. now a look at today's closing numbers from wall street, green arrows on this tuesday. the dow pushing up 24 points and the s&p up nearly 3 points. philadelphia mayor, jim kenney played the role of salesman at the impact capital conference in center city. how philadelphia is working to support its entrepreneurs and said among other things that the system is improving and adding bike lanes making the city easier to navigate and hopes that investors will come along for the ride.

extension and heaviest rain on 422 and 22, and a break from 95 from wilmington to philadelphia. the steadiest and heaviest rain earlier is now long gone wren going to catch a break here overnight tonight. but what a wet day. again it's much needed because it's the wettest day we have seen if philadelphia in nearly seven weeks have you to go to the beginning of october to see this much rain in one setting so to speak. so far today closing in on an inch in philadelphia and take a look at the month of november ground. as we take a look at allentown and wilmington. we hit 60 so far in philadelphia and dover right now settling at 64 degrees. there is that first batch of energy lifting to the north and east and clouds continue to filter in and fog could be an

"action news" continues with meteorologist, adam joseph, alicia vitarelli, sharrie williams and brian taff. hello again. 4:30 now and "action news" continues with a fight to keep a fire engine open in wilmington. and one of the nation's biggest airports are on strike but is it having an impact locally. and find out what this brawl caused to escalate into a demolition derby. police have identified a 64-year-old woman pushing a stroller who was hit and killed in the crosswalk yesterday in center city. vernon odom is live in brewery town with the latest on the investigation today. >> reporter: good evening sharrie, the official investigation police say will take several more days to complete but the focus is now entirely on the bus driver

police tell me and the pedestrian indeed had the right of way. >> it was a tragic scene here at 23rd and chestnut just after 5:00 last night. a septa bus hit and killed a grandmother when she was crossing on the left in an intersection and it killed lydia of chester hill. she was pushing her grandson and the stroller kept on rolling, she was pronounced dead at the scene and the infant was not injured. >> she had a green light just as she was crossing, the septa bus attempted to make a left-hand turn to go eastbound on chestnut and struck lydia. >> the official police investigation is not finished they have not been able to interview the bus driver yesterday. all the operator side mirrors are standardized reducing the

on the 400 block of monthrow street of vineland new jersey. they battled the blaze for three hours before getting under control. no word on cha caused the fire. one person is recovering following a serious crash this morning. a car and box truck collided on 295 in newcastle at 6:30 this morning. you see the badly damaged vehicle on a tow truck in the southbound lane. it happened just past the exit for route 9, one person was taken to christiana hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. no word on what caused this crash. wilmington police need help tracking down a person that used a garden hoe to rob a store. the robbery happened on october 15 and, a 14-year-old accused of using a machete once before with him is under arrest.

what was suppose to be a sign for the less fortunate around the holidays ended up in tragedy in california. has been awarded the world's highest rated bourbon. their words not ours, make history. the school bus driver charged in the tragedy in tennessee made his first court appearance today. but it didn't last long at all. johnthony walker's preliminary hearing was moved to december 15th, formerly charged with six counts of vehicular homicide. three children remain in critical condition and police say he was speeding at the time and toxicology test shows he had no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time. >> right now a live look at the philadelphia international airport where a ground stop has just been lifted. the weather seems to be the only thing causing problems and not that strike that is happening at chicago's o'hare airport. hundreds of employees walked off the job today in chicago, baggage handlers and wheelchair

maybe dreary and gloomy and you name it out there it's not the lawns getting a drink. the ground is not frozen and everything is seeping out there and another day of this before we dry out for the enof the week and the weekend. as we take a look at stormtracker 6 live double scan the heaviest rain is well off the coast you can see how it is kind of broken in nature at this point. there are still pockets here and there and steadier rain and one along 95 at the philadelphia international airport heading towards center city. the schuylkill expressway a break temporarily and that will push in and moving over the blue route at this point near media

and broomall and villanova and parts of newcastle county dealing with pockets of steadier rainfall but this is the last ga gasp of it passing through and dryout overnight tonight before the next round comes in during the day tomorrow. temperatures run ago above average, 60 in philadelphia officially today settling at 59, 59 trenton and millville and atlantic city airport 48 in reading and the warmest spot is dover that saw the least amount of rain at 65 degrees, the issue overnight is not the rain falling from the sky but dropping visibilities, 4 miles in philadelphia and 3 in wilmington and 2 mile at the atlantic city airport. and the fog report will continue to really kind of dwindle as we go through the overnight hours as the numbers continue to drop off as the fog thickens up. the heavier batch continues to push north and east. you can see the drying trend
