northern round of wet weather is coming our way. >> rick williams is on assignment and brian taff joins us. adam joseph is tracking the rain now. >> the first round is into southern new england, that is what we saw this morning into the early afternoon hours, we caught a bit of a break and we see the radar fill back in through the south and west heading towards center city that along a cold front that is stretching to parts of atlanta and charlotte and in the deep south in parts of louisiana, mississippi as well as alabama they saw between 30 or so reported tornadoes in the last two days. we are not going to see severe weather with it but another soaking and a rumble of thunder as the front passes through at midnight. the rainfall totals the last two days, a 1.25 around here and

1.72 and less in other areas. temperatures right now 60 in philadelphia and 64 in washington, you see the warmth to the south that is going to pull up to the north ahead of the cold front so numbers are going to warm here this evening. as opposed to dropping. we see that surge in temperature from the lower 60s to the upper 60s between 6:00 and midnight tonight. and then they will fall after that cold front passes through, a quick snapshot here at future tracker 6 at midnight. the heavy downpours and rumble of thunder and everything is out of here by tomorrow morning. when i come back we'll chat about the rest of the week and the upcoming weekend with the five-day at 5:00 forecast. >> sounds good thank you. developing news now. sources tell "action news" philadelphia police located a car of interest in the deadly hit and run of 8-year-old gianna powell. she was walking home with her siblings when she was struck and

killed in overbrook. the police got a tip call after someone saw a car like the ones that officials were looking for in frazier chester county and they are bringing the car back to philadelphia. updates throughout the newscast and at 6abc.com. new here at 5:00 tonight, philadelphia police say they have identified one of the suspects in this surveillance video, in which a chestnut hill market was vandalized turns out that man is a city employee and tonight his boss is speaking out. sara bloomquist is live at northwest detectives with more on this investigation. >> reporter: brian, sources tell us that duncan lloyd is expected to show up here at northwest detectives at some point. at this point tomorrow with his attorney to talk about the anti-trump graffiti sprayed on a chestnut hill grocery store. city hall confirms that lloyd is an assistant attorney with the city and so far he is not charged with any crime. his boss in the city law

department says that lloyd is cooperating with the investigation. >> he was wearing a blazer and scarf and carrying a glass of wine. not attire or behavior police typically see when someone sets out to vandalize a property. this man on surveillance video is this man, duncan lloyd seen in a facebook profile picture, city confirms he is an assistant attorney in the city law department. it was early friday morning when police allege that lloyd and another man wearing a hooded jacket walked up german town market along the 8200 block, the man in the jacket can be seen spraying graffiti by the front door and lloyd appeared to take video or photos with that wine glass in hand. it showed the graffiti to be graphic and anti-donald trump. it was not long after that

investigators found out that he works as an attorney in the labor and employment unit with the city law department. this afternoon craig straw first deputy in the law department said in a statement. to my knowledge mr. lloyd all right contacted philadelphia police and we'll decide on a course of action once we obtain more information about the investigation. we do not condone this type of behavior from our employees. police don't know the identity of the man in the hood or if the two men knew each other other prior. it's unclear if lloyd will keep his job. >> that is not a focal point for us, the focal point is to find the person responsible for the incident. >> lloyd has worked for the city department since 2011, they put the damage to the grocery store at 3,000 to $10,000. i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. camden county police want your help in a case they call a

brutal sexual assault. police say this man approached a woman in a white van and forced her into a nearby lot next to an abandoned building where he sexually assaulted her and found in the 900 block of south third street and the man in the crime was caught by surveillance video. the fbi says the student that attacked several people at ohio state university may have been inspired by isis and al qaeda. federal officials stress it's too early to call monday's incident terrorism. 11 people were hurt when artan drove into pedestrians and slashed people with a knife. if facebooks post that morning were indeed made by artan. and wild fires ripping through the smoke write mountains skilled seven people.

fire others say that wet weather could help them get the flames under control and the area got an inch of rain yesterday and more is on the way tonight. back here at home the judge denied a petition of a recount of votes in montgomery county. attorneys for green party county jill stein took part in the hearing and wanted to make sure that every vote was counted accurately. >> we have machines. they are difficult to hack harder than hacking an iphone. that is absurd but the county argues that the voting machines are safe. the stein campaign is requesting recounts in 60 counties in the state as well as michigan and wisconsin. >> it may not look like christmas but the holiday spirit

officials in charlotte say they will not file charges in the deadly shooting of keith lamont scott by police. that officer brently vincent acted lawfully when he shot and killed scott back in september and video appears to show that scott was armed at the time of the shooting something that scott's family denies. lawyers for scott's family say they are considering whether to file a lawsuit themselveses. the house of representatives is set to pass a sweeping new law that would move medicine forward faster. but could have pitfalls. ali gorman is here with more. >> reporter: the law is called the 21st century cure act and is raises hope and concern. it includes billions of dollars

for members with limited mobility and dedicated youth programs. philadelphia police department laid out dozens of donates phones that could be a life line for people with domestic abuse. all the phones are given to women against abuse. they will be given to victims so they can call 911 any time help is needed. a bucks county foundation grant aid wish for a couple that spend their lives giving to others. the twilight wish foundation led theest to build a new walkway and ramp for leo and joanne mccue. she has difficulty walking to and from the car, that required her to trek up the slope. they spent years volunteering with veterans groups and now they are getting their due return. >> still ahead on "action news" a check of the accuweather forecast. >> a live look outside at the

dill worth park and has the accuweather forecast of course. >> reporter: i'm doing great this is the best part of the day, we had heavier rain earlier today. and now drizzle and it's not that cold. hopefully a lot of people come out and look around dill worth park we have a lot to show here. i want to start with stormtracker 6 live double scan to see you where the rain is falling now here in philadelphia misting and drizzle and you can see how the rain is beginning to advance from the southwest as we zoom in we have showers in media and chadds ford right now. wilmington, downingtown. pretty heavy in downingtown. and that is lifting up to the northeast. in philadelphia if you head out here you may want to grab the umbrella, you'll be needing it in about 10 minutes. visibility is a big factor we have low clouds and fog and visibility in philadelphia two miles right now, trenton 4 miles and wilmington 2.5.

if you head to the coast the visibility is low. toms rin a .5 mile and .3 at the atlantic city airport. use the low beams with the fog. temperature-wise though, it's hard to believe it's the last day of november. we are sitting at 60 at philadelphia right now, first time for the holiday special i haven't needed long underwear. wilmington 58 and trenton 54 and allentown 55 and cape may 56 degrees. this continues the trend. november running 2.5 degrees above normal. and 19 of the last 20 months we have had above normal temperatures, the only month with below normal temperatures was this past may. but running 3.3 degrees above normal. the warm trend continues.

from ohio. the congresswoman from california ran the caucus since 2002 and some think pelosi's experience is needed for the fight coming in the white house and the republican led congress. and the woman missing for three weeks had a message branded into her skin. one of several disturbing details. and was covered in bruises and scabs and had a broken nose, her abductors cut her hair and disappears while she was out for a jog earlier this month and found christmas day bound in restraints on a highway 150 miles from home. officials say the brand appears to be some sort of message. >> i would think that is some sort of exertion of power and control or some time of message that the brand contained. >> officials don't know if she was targeted or if this was a random abduction.

>> the pilot of a plane that crashed in south america killing 71 people told air traffic controllers that he ran out of fuel moments before the plane went down. the pilot repeatedly asked for permission to land because electrical failure and lack of fuel. and they were giving instructions as the plane lost altitude. killing most of the people on board except for six. the cause of what caused a pipeline to explode is on hold until the blaze subsides, it happened near kansas city airport. nobody was hurt in this and residents reported seeing the flames for miles. thousands of california national guard troops will not have to pay back enlistment bonuses despite what the pentagon ordered. they decided to forgive the debt. they were as much as $15,000 and

police in england are investigating a road rage attack. things escalated into a fist fight. the other man rammed his truck into them and then the man takes

out a shovel and breaks the window. nobody was seriously hurt and so far no arrest ares. police in new york city are trying to track down the man that managed to steal an 86 pound bucket of gold flakes in broad daylight. it shows the man in a black vest taking the bucket out of an open armored truck and police say that the gold flakes are valued at 1.6 milli$1.6 million be tha suspect likely didn't foe what was in the bucket. and they want to complain about any car safety problems they encounter. they want to create a rule requiring auto makers to put a label on the visor telling how to file complaints. it could be years now before those labels are ultimately required. jaime apody is here with sports and the light of on the
