images. detectives are combing through video from the past few days from across center city. they are certain that this person are you about to see placed the package on the front doorstep of the home. the video shows it. the question is why. video shows the person of interest on november 20 and at 9:30 a.m. where jim alden lives. the person appears to be a young asian man or perhaps a woman. the video captures him or her placing the envelope on the steps of 1808 pine street. >> this person did in fact, drop this parcel at the location. we are not suggested that he is the person that manufactured the device but we would like to find out from the public who he may be. >> it was on the 22nd when alden

opened the package believing it was his medication he receives in the mail. alden had extensive injuries to his torso and left hand. >> this was a specified target for this device. it is important that we identify who the person is that constructed it. it may be one and the same. >> they have identified the person before it was placed and then on lombard. they believe they wore two hats, a baseball cap on the bottom and a hat with ear flaps over it. >> it's a lumberjack or elmer fudd type of hat with the flaps down, you see it flapping in the wind as it's individual walks. again, we want to show you the raw video, this is the surveillance video it shows the person placing the package on

suspects a few blocks away and the two suspects caused a collision involving four vehicles and one being driven by issome. gray hall will have more on a live report tonight at 5:00. >> new information now in the murder investigation of a 2-year-old boy. investigators say he had narcotics in his system. police say that he tested positive for thc, the main ingredient in marijuana. late thursday night. officers responded to a home in the 600 block of east clementine street where the toddler was found unresponsive. he later died at the hospital. an examination reviewed the boy and found he had a las rated liver and bruises to his chest and eye. police have made no arrests but are interviewing several people including the boy's mother and boyfriend. an allentown day care worker

it was a petrifying scene that played out at a barn in jacksonville florida. a gunman held 11 people hostage. s.w.a.t. teams were able to free everyone without a shot fired. thanks to quick thinking by first responders and civilians on scene. a bank robber put a gun to the head of one of the hostages, to people were hiding inside unknown to the gunman and they

distracted him allowing the s.w.a.t. team members to swarm in and free every single person being held captive. >> we were able to resolve it, and resolve it peacefully. because of professional expertise to make the right decision at the right time and execute that and take this person into custody and rescue the hostages. >> the suspect is in custody and have not released haze name. a man in his late 20s or early 30s, he could face bank robbery, armed kidnapping and armed assault. he is behind bars and all of those hostages inside of that credit union were freed with no injuries. >> good news. rescue teams in tennessee say they are making good progress in their search for people who survived the deadly wild fires. take a look at this drone video, it shows a new perspective of the damage in gatlinburg and the
