and cold, temperatures in the 20s, windchills, this is the big story right now as jennette mentioned, you need to bundle up in layers. heavier winter coat scarf hat that did the trick. 19 in philadelphia. 19 in allentown. feels like ten lonely degrees in the poconos. 18 in millville. feels like 25 degrees in cape may. satellite and radar along -- action radar, heavy lake-effect snow along lake ontario they picked up two to three feet. for us, sun and clouds today, a quiet start to the weekend overall, breezy and cold, 38 degrees is the forecasted high. it will feel like the upper 20s, low 30s throughout the day because of the wind. blustery and cold weekend is on the way. some snow is expected sunday night into monday morning, another bitter arctic outbreak arrives next week. i'll have the details coming up

ordered that flags fly at half mast to honor frankie williams. services will be held monday at boardwalk hall in atlantic city. two men were shot and wounded on a north philadelphia street, now police are looking for suspects and motives. gunfire broke out on the 3000 block of fontain street at 1:30 a.m. police say when they arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds to their legs. both victims were rushed to area hospitals for treatment and expected to be okay. real life grinches are targeting signs of holiday cheer in one south jersey community. police in evesham township are asking for neighbors to keep an eye out for the thieves and vandals on the prowl. dann cuellar has more. ♪ >> reporter: it's the holiday season and a lot of people put

east, it will get in here sunday night into monday morning. the good news, if you don't like snow. warmer air will start to punch in. it will start overspreading the area, what may start out always snow up through here it will turn into rain sunday night into monday morning. future tracker 6, combination of sun and clouds. sunday morning, temperatures well below freezing. clouds increase, that locks the cold air in, that's why the precip starts out as snow in the lay afternoon hours on sunday. this is -- late afternoon hours on sunday. this is sunday evening. i suspect there will be light snow flying across the lehigh valley at that point. everybody else else more than likely will stay dry. note the temperatures, mid to upper 30s, it's warmer than what we're showing here. but it will be cold. sunday into monday, here comes the milder air working through the region. everybody changes over to rain,

it will be a chilly rain with highs monday in the upper 40s. the take away, mainly rain for philadelphia points south and east. it will start out as light snow north of the pennsylvania turnpike, the lehigh valley and the poconos. even there it is expected to change over to rain by dawn. there could be a slushy accumulation for areas far north. this is the lehigh valley and the poconos. the immediate philadelphia area not expecting anything more than programs a -- perhaps a few flakes that's about it. one to three in the lehigh valley and the poconos i'm leaning closer to one than the three. it doesn't take much to create slick spots. highs today upper 0s, close to 40 degrees, look for a combination of sun and clouds, windchill in the upper 20s and low 30s. speaking of 20s, everybody dropping down overnight,

everyone, 7:23 saturday morning, we've been talking about the upcoming systems sunday into monday. right now i want to focus on the arctic blast arriving later next week. this is associated with the polar vortex. this is philadelphia right here. the polar vortex will drop in from the north western territories of canada close to alaska. it will do one of these jobs where it rounds the hudson bay, this body of water here. this whole area turns cold. this gets down to the panhandles of florida. ice cold next week. if year lucky we hit 30 degrees. the really cold stuff will be the great lakes, where temperatures will be five to ten below. overnight lows, 25 below zero.

there will be a public viewing on the chase center on the river front that will be followed by a funeral at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. hope was a senior firefighter for the wilmington fire department and mother of three. jerry fickes and christopher leach died as a result of fighting an arson fire in september. three wilmington fire stations will be renamed in honor of the three fallen heros. these workers gave a free shining and washington of fire trucks that will lead the funeral procession. they donated their services to engine number five which will carry firefighter hope's casket. it is their way of saying thank you to all the first responders. pennsauken police vehicle responding to one crash was involved in another one on the way to the scene. the first collision happened when the driver of a minivan

lost control and hit a pole on route 130. the second happened when a responding officer and lexus collided a short time later. there were no serious injuries. new this morning, a man was stabbed after an altercation while waiting on a septa platform in center city. it happened at 150th and -- 15th and market. two men got into an argument one pulled out a knife. one suffered minor injuries, septa police took the suspect into custody. a mural honoring an up and coming hospital -- pop store killed on tour, grimy was a contestant on the show the

voice. she was killed signing autographs in florida. they hope the wish wal will be a wall of hope and peace not violence and hate. students are told not to drink the water because it is colored containing high iron and sediment. bottled water is being provided to students and faculty. monday a federal judge wil issue a ruling on whether to approve an election recount in the state. this is video of jill stein as she left the federal coulter house yesterday. her -- courthouse yesterday. her lawyers argued for a recount based on on suspicion of hacking. the secretary of state office

area out through here. most of cloud cover will stay west of the appalachians. we could see puffy consume -- cumulus clouds up here. future tracker 6, we'll set it into motion. we'll skip over today into sunday morning. clouds on the increase. you'll start out with a sliver of sunshine. it will fade quickly as the storm system across the upper midwest races on. you'll have more in the way of lake snow breaking out what this model is showing well for northf philadelphia. places like quakertown and allentown and reading snow. in the overnight into sunday morning, snowing across the lehigh valley raining everywhere else. it changes over to rain look at the temperatures, above freezing

in the lehigh valley. 34 for the poconos. they could turn to rain, as well. close to 40 in philadelphia. quick-moving system, by 11:00 a.m. or noon it's long gone. we're left with a combination of sun and clouds during the afternoon on monday, temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. so the northwest suburbs sunday night into monday morning, look for that mixture of rain and snow changing over to rain. there could be a puffy accumulation mainly on grassy surfaces by the time we get into monday morning. i-95 metro area it's a cold rain same thing for south jersey and the state of delaware. accumulations nothing going on in and around the philadelphia area. but, again there could be perhaps one to three inches for the lehigh valley and the poconos. leaning more toward the one rather than the three, again, just a couple of flakes immediately north and west of philadelphia. so sun and clouds, cold today, 38 degrees is the forecasted high. windchills upper 20s, low 30s. partly cloudy and cold overnight tonight. 22 degrees outlying suburbs, 26 for center city.
