abusing former temple university employee. the defense wants to keep the women off the witness stand and submitted their own evidence including police statements and news clippings and more. and before the court got to the evidence there was an objection from kevin steele. he called it a means of witness intimidation. >> but he countered that they are adults and they came out in press conferences. and some of the 13 women are clients of attorney, gloria allred in the courtroom today

he targeted the store on city avenue in wynnewood. the man came in and threaten aid clerk with the knife at 2:00 this morning and took money and ran across city avenue. they are work on a description of the suspect at this hour. turning to accuweather the conditions are turning much colder as we get close toward an extremely bitter blast of winter, getting gray out there, and it feels pretty chilly but this is nothing compared to what we are dealing with in a few days. david murphy is here with a first check of the forecast. >> the coldest air we are expecting is on the other side. even of the snow, you can see the chillier air is beginning to work its way into ohio and pittsburgh because the precipitation falling is falling as snow. in fact, later on tonight in the evening hours to midnight or so, there is the chance that some of the snow shower activity cuts across the poconos and maybe

clips our northern and western suburbs, it will be showers everywhere else. not expecting a big impact but an indication of the cold air in place. as we take a look at clouds, there are plenty of clouds in place and we see a little bit of sunshine break through at times but overall a mainly cloudy day with sun at times. temperatures start to improve but it's staying chilly. 42 in philadelphia, that is climbing out of the mid-30s from earlier in morning. still in the upper 30s in allentown and lancaster and low 40s in cape may and millville. winds are light and we expect them to stay this way the rest of the day. not a big shoulder hunching wind. 4:00, 40 degrees and the high of 43 right in there around 3:00 this afternoon. but it doesn't take long to get into the 30s, 8:0039 and 10:00,

experts say that gas prices are heading back up to $3 a gallon after she agreed to stop production. it's up almost 20 cents from a year ago and places are creeping towards $3 a gallon in some sports of the country. in philadelphia $2.41 a gallon is the average. and the fed is expected to raise interest rates tomorrow for the second time in a decade. policy makers began their policy meeting today and will announce the decision tomorrow. the fed has kept rates near zero

meteorologist, david murphy is back now with the accuweather forecast. where temperatures are steadily plummeting. >> they are. they will get chilly tonight and tomorrow night and into thursday where we bottom out. as we take a look at stormtracker 6 live double scan right now we are dry. taking a look outside we have sky 6 hd a fair amount of clouds above the river rink at penn's landing and those folks on the ice are bundled up and temperatures getting into the low 40s in philadelphia and not much wind. but it's a cold one. maybe today is the day to get out and skate. in a couple of days it may be too cold for that. 38 is the temperature in philadelphia and winds from the east at 6 miles per hour and expecting them to stay light. upper 30s in allentown and reading and lancaster and low 40s from trenton to cape may at the shore. winds are light and expecting to stay that way today.

the clouds are fairly thick and every now and then they thin out and you get sunshine and looking now like we see a mostly cloudy afternoon with occasional sun possible. the precipitation out to the west will show you in a minutes. it may be an issue for some of you tonight. in the lehigh valley, mostly cloudy and chilly, a high of just 39 degrees, and nice that we have light winds up there. mostly cloudy at the shore, 46 degrees there and in philadelphia, an afternoon high of 43 not much different from where we are right now. mostly cloudy skies and chilly and winds staying down in the single digits. a nice light wind. what about the precipitation, at 5:00 this afternoon. fairly cloudy across the region, and a few breaks, as we get up to 10:00 a chance of snow shower activity breaking out in the western suburbs, doesn't look like this will have a big impact. and it will melt away and die down overnight and it won't be

around by tomorrow morning's rush hour, and if you are driving around slow it down just in case. mostly cloudy overnight after the evening shower getting out of here and the snow shower up north. 33 in philadelphia and suburbs getting down into the mid-20s and winds on the light side overnight tonight, and back up to 42 for the high similar to today and a higher breeze building tomorrow and the big thing on the map tomorrow is the arctic boundary pushing through probably wednesday night into thursday and behind that, you will see the crush of cold air we are talking about and also strong winds building wednesday night and especially through the day on thursday and then on into thursday night. a big area of low pressure rotating to the north of us near quebec is circulating the cold air and windchills on thursday from zero to 10 degrees in the afternoon. it's going to be bitterly is cold on thursday, your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast clouds and sun today, snow shower or rain shower tonight.
