gathered. janet? >> reporter: walter, that vigil wrapped up a few minutes ago, not surprisingly very emotional. we spoke with the mother of the jayanna powell and she said it has not gotten any easier especially with christmas right around the corner. friend and family held hand in the frigid cold as they remembered, eight year-old jay anna powell, killed just yards away from where her grieving mother, stood tonight , crying. the little girl was walking home from school with her siblings help she was hit by a car here at 63rd and land down and then thrown nearly 30-yard she was rushed to the hospital where she died, with her parents, by her side. it has been a month since that tragedy. there has been an arrest in the case but there is no sense of closure. wound seem fresh as christmas fast approaches, iisha pool says now her christmas will include a visit to her daughter's grave. >> i got to go see high baby
