city hall. mayor jim kenney says that is in response to the deadly terror attack in germany and the decision was made purely out of an abunnance of caution. >> we have larger vehicles parked at the entrances to our own christmas village around city hall. police vehicles and trash trucks, we don't have an imminent threat but obviously taking precautions when something like this happens. >> meanwhile, thomas bower the organizer of the christmas village says he is heart broken of what took place in his home country of germany we are thinking about the family members and friends. it's a tragedy. >> 12 where killed be others injured after someone drove this truck into the market in berlin and isis has taken responsibility for the attack.

county, new jersey, are desperately seeking this man, 32-year-old jeremiah monel. his wife's body was found. and now we live in cedarville where police found an important include. >> reporter: jim, we are 15 min as way from the crime scene. this is a fairly remote highly wooded area, and this search has been on going since early yesterday morning but it has picked unand intensified in the last few hours after jeremiah monel's truck was found near the railroad tracks here. the search began by grown and air. this is the truck that police found abandoned in cedarville kicking off the manhunt on going. at one point to helicopters hovered over head keeping a perimeter on the ground keeping

an eye on railroad tracks. he is accused of killing his wife, tara o'shea in her home yesterday morning. friended say it was in fronts of their 12-year-old son and he is on the run ever since and charged with murder. >> reporter: and jim we have seen the activity here die down and pick up again within the last few minutes, police will not elaborate on what they have found if anything so far but they will keep us posted as soon as they find something. reporting live cumberland county, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. fire destroyed a townhome today and damaged an adjacent home in newcastle, tell wear. firefighters were called to the scene at 11:30 this morning, the flames raced through the second floor of the home. fortunately everybody made it out safely. the red cross is now helping out the family. we have no word on the cause. philadelphia police have

conducted a major drug sweep in kensington that yielded hundreds of thousands of drugs and 170 arrests. vernon odom is live at police forensic science center in north philadelphia. you have the full story. >> reporter: i do jim. we have seen all of this many times before, the police trying hard the drugs and the guns and the cash and all of those people addicted to drugs. dangerous elements all from the mean streets. >> drugs. soliciting. different things of the sort that may happen that the cameras or people or cops don't see. >> that is what long time homeowner will fowler sees from his home every day. he lives a stones throw from kensington avenue and the heroin addicts seem to be everywhere you turn. they did a sweep over $50,000 in

he is accused of setting off a pipe bomb in seaside park. and two former chris christie allies convicted in the bridge gate case are seeking new trial. they claim that jurors acting improperly. they say that some jurors deliberated on a day when the judge ordered them not to as attorneys resolved a legal issue and that the government failed to prove their case. rafael rob who was serving 12 years in prison for murdering his wife but rob may have hurt his case today after admitting to previous perjuries that during a hearing today. rob was petitioning to access $100,000 in frozen accounts upon his release. during cross examination he aadmitted to having a french bank account and those were not previously disclosed and the hearing stopped and robb withdrew his position and it's

big doings in philadelphia. the spring garden street connecter project that links northern liberties to the waterfront is just completed. an hour ago the waterfront corpse unveiled the new look at the city's spring garden section and the underpass is transformed into a light show and new sidewalks and additional lighting and septa portalled have been added. something new. two families in delaware will have a brighter holiday thanks to the generosity of the

colonial school district. the families received dozens of wrapped kids to make the holiday memorable and they donated 70 coats to children in the school district. new at 6:00 young people in buck county brought the holiday spirit to hundreds of folks that are certainly young at heart. "action news" reporter, nora muchanic has that story from langhorne. ♪ ♪ tive and grader at maple point grade school sang their hearts out for a senior party. the band and school orchestra entertained hundreds of guests from the area nursing home. there is something special about children singing any time of year especially during the holidays. more important the students were encouraged to talk to the seniors here to interact with them and make a connection. and so they asked their guests about themselves. taking notes about what their

and dropping down to 26 in philadelphia. here is the forecast for us on wednesday, high temperature for the first day of winter coming in at 45 degrees, turning milder with the southwesterly wind and the area of low pressure over the great lakes and midwest. this heads our way as we get into thursday. by then a high temperature of 50 degrees as the front moves on through it turns breezy by afternoon, and in the wake of that you tap into the strong northwesterly winds, the sun to clouds and get the day started on thursday and turning much colder as we head into thursday night. as you head to the linc the eagles at home as they take on the giants, kickoff 8:25 and prime time match-up and windchills are not 20s even though the kickoff temperature is 38 degrees, once we get into the fourth quarter, in at 35 with the northwesterly wind. here is the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast milder start to winter tomorrow high temperature of 45, and on thursday turning breezy in at 50
