a local man is among the dozens injured in a new year's eve attack in turkey. 39 people were killed. amazingly jake's family says his cellphone stopped the bullet from doing more damage. sunday night, walter is off and the big story is a local connection to the attack in anise stan bull nightclub. a gunman opened fire on those celebrating the new year. one of those grew up in chads ford. jeanette has more. >> the latest reports has the number of injured up to 70. tonight, we found out that one of those injured is jacob raak. he's lucky to be alive. waiting for him to return home and are relieved he's okay. >> this is jacob being loaded on to an a ambulance not long after aattack on those celebrating the new year. around 1:15 this surveillance video shows the moment the gunman fires approaching the popular upscale nightclub. witnesses say he targeted police and security and then bystanders. at first many mistook the shots for fireworks, but that didn't last long. another shot shows people running and ducking in terror the killer goes inside but not before shooting on once more ate man in red. >> "action news" spoke with the

victim's brother, michael raak. raak who is from chads ford was in istanbul to ring in the new year. a bullet hit his phone destroying it. hit went from his hip to his knee. doctors told him the cellphone likely saved his life since it prevented damage to a major injury. he is expected to be discharged from the hospital within the next 24 hours. >> a massive manhunt by turkish police is under way for the shooter and anyone else involved. >> i spoke with jacob's mother. she was understandably upset saying the family is shaken by all of this. their thoughts and prayers are with the relatives of those that didn't survive the attack. expect jacob to arrive tomorrow in the philadelphia area.

tomorrow mortgage. with cold air at the surface, a freezing rain advisory 4:00 a.m. monday through 10:00 in the morning for the majority of the region with the exception of ken county and southern parts of new jersey. i-95 south and east, icy spots with rain by 11:00 in the morning. should be all rain by 10:00 in the morning. for your rush hour, tomorrow is a holiday for many folks. thankfully, the roadways won't be as busy, but heading out early in the morning, use a lot of caution. we give it a yellow light, use caution in the evening hour, raining at times, wet roadways by that time. another dreary day tuesday and
