batch of precipitation that was really held in the clouds did not make it to the ground and lifting away and we catch a break and we have to wait for the moisture in western pennsylvania and ohio to move through here. so it's going to be several hours before we watch any precipitation fall. in fact, future tracker 6 shows that it's until the 9:00, 10:00, hour toward lehigh valley and berks county and lancaster county we see the light freezing drizzle pushing in. that is the concern of the pennsylvania turnpike to pottstown and quakertown. lancaster county and berks county be up into the lehigh valley before light freezing rain as it turns over to rain there. and temperatures warm overnight. what to expect north of the pennsylvania turnpike. freezing rain at 1:00 p.m. and changes to rain, but for the rest of us south of the turnpike it starts as rain and ends as rain with temperatures warming

individuals both happened near the frankford transportation senders. they wore ski masks. we spoke with a victim. >> the victim did not want to appear on camera but told us about his ordeal on the 1500 block. it was 12:40 a.m. when the man noticed the impala pull up with four men inside. they had ski masks and dark clothes. >> they said give me everything you have. and hit me with a shotgun in the face, and throw me on the floor and when they were going to leave they shot me. >> the victim received a graze wound in the leg and went for treatment. he learned that a few minutes before an 18-year-old girl was attacked in virtually the same way by a group of masked men and was at the hospital being treated for a head wound.

police say that 28-year-old jamal henry went grocery shopping in the middle of his route when a 7-year-old boy was still on board. a police officer noticed the bus running yesterday outside of a shop-rite in west philadelphia. henry is now accused of endangering a child and possessing marijuana. the student's mother talks to "action news" in a live report ahead at 4:30. philadelphia police are trying to figure out who shot and killed a man who intervened in a robbery. investigators were called to the 1500 block of girard avenue late last night. that 32-year-old barry jones was inside of an apartment with a friend who was trying to rob the woman and he ended up shooting him dead. call police if you know anything about this crime. new jersey state police are trying to piece together what caused a dumbbell to fly through

>> it's late this evening. 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 especially to the north and west of the pennsylvania turnpike if you are around philadelphia. no threat for freezing rain, sky 6 hd over the commodore barry bridge despite sunshine and clouds took over today, and temperatures thankfully finally warming back up, in fact, we are in the freezer for many hours, 114 hours where temperatures are below 30 degrees, at 6:00 p.m. last thursday through noon today in philadelphia. the first time we broke the 32 degree mark last week. we are moving in the temperatures upper 30s through millville and cape may. the atlantic city airport, 35 degrees, you'll notice to the north and west. we are flirting with freezing here and those are the zones we have to watch for a little bit of freezing rain and a couple of patchy icy spots late this

evening, before it changes to rain there. we are tracking a system and the precipitation you see locally just to the north is not reaching the ground and lifting away and we'll wait for the next batch east of cleveland and pushing east overnight. temperatures above freezing for the most part except the northwestern suburbs, but even at 9:00 it's fairly dry. if you get drizzle that could freeze on can't but 11:00 we start to see light, freezing rain for reading as well as the lehigh valley up into the poconos and then as it punctures through at midnight and thereafter at 2:00 a.m. temperatures jump into the 40s and no threat for ice, around a .25 inch through the area and by tomorrow morning, temperatures not too bad already above normal for this time of year to start at 6:00 a.m. and the rain will be gone. and the temperatures will get out of the 40s. we'll go into the lower 50s

and that led to his arrest. walter perez is live outside of the store where that happened. walter you spoke with the child's mom today? >> reporter: that is right and mom was pretty upset. at first driver said it was a bathroom emergency that forced him to make an unscheduled stop but the responding officer was quickly unable to prove that was not true. >> nicole scott says it was one of those circumstances that would throw any parent into a panic. >> they never told me where my son was, from 4:15 until 5:45, i didn't know where my child was. >> it turns out nicole's 7-year-old son was sitting alone on his school bus yesterday afternoon. a 19th district police officer happened to be patrolling and saw the youngster on the bus. >> and getting information from the juvenile inside of the bus,

a male exits from the store and runs in that direction. >> that man was the bus driver, 28-year-old jamal henry. henry was arevved after getting caught in a lie. >> originally he told the officer he had a bathroom money and the office conducted a little investigation looking at video surveillance and determined that was not the truth. >> complicated matters, henry was found in possession of a bag of marijuana, and arrested on charges including child endangerment and possession and other related offenses. the school district sent us a statement. say that student safety is a priority and quote, we immediately removed the drive forever work and we'll continue investigating the case and nicole scott says she is just happy that her son she calls little b is okay and he is never taking the bus again. >> little b is getting chauffeured now.

it takes over most of western central new york state and most of the state of pennsylvania and just grazing our northwestern suburbs, north of the pennsylvania tun pike. we are awaiting moisture from the west in the form of a front. that is passing through and the bulk of this is heading to the north and west and everybody gets wet overnight tonight and the temperatures at 37 in center city with a lot of clouds. we'll chat about the area of freezing rain and time it for you on future tracker and talk about the warm temperatures before another dip with some more snow possible in the seven-day forecast. >> all right adam thank you. a robber pulled a gun on a grocery store worker in the overback section of philadelphia. it happened at the 4900 block of thompson street. the robber pointed the gun at the clerk until he handed over cash, the man got away with $200. if you recognize the suspect you are urged to call police.

one more punch of cold air. before we warm things up. we are going to thaw things out here for a few days and then back in the freezing with snow and then back up. there is a lot of up's and down's in the forecast. as we look at double scan live radar we are in the dry and a lot of clouds out there. we are tracking precipitation coming in later this evening, and overnight tonight, the majority will be rain but it's a small window of opportunity for some freezing drizzle and

freezing rain in the far northwestern suburbs. in fact you see numbers are above freezeing along the i-95 south and east. at freezing allentown and lancaster, notice the poconos, 19 degrees that is where the cold air is deep and a big issue to try to bring in the warmth to give them a switch over to rain. but again the far northwestern suburbs an hour or two before it changes to plain old rain. the temperatures dropover sunlight and southerly winds continue with a system to the north and west. it moves temperatures up overnight tonight. there is the batch of precipitation we are tracking now in eastern pennsylvania and ohio. that is sliding east between now and 9:00 it's dry out there. 10:00, 10:30 we start to see light freezing drizzle for northern parts of lancaster county and berks and lehigh

county. and the poconos. and wildwood to atlantic city, it goes up to above freezing, about a .25 inch of rain and after a little bit of patchy freezing rain to the northern and west. expect plain old rain for the early morning hours of wednesday but the morning rush the rain is all gone and temperatures are mild in the upper 30s to even upper 40s to the south. with some drier roadways. so watch for some slick spots here north of the pennsylvania turnpike. later on tonight. the ground will still be below 32 degrees and temperatures are gradually rising after midnight and no issues for the morning rush hour in the lehigh valley. and in fact tomorrow much milder we are looking at 50s returning across the board here. stopping at 49 allentown, upper 40s in lancaster and warmer than we have seen in the last five to six days.

we have got breaking news from charleston, south carolina. where the jury delivered the verdict in the fate of dillon roof. he will now die for the murder of nine people inside of a historically black charleston church. roof defended himself during the trial and did not present a defense as to whether his life should be spared. he was found guilty for this crime sometime ago and the jury had to answer the question death or life without parole. the decision came, dillon roof now sentenced to death. more throughout the evening here. >> all right brian, lets switch
