weather advisories went into effect at 6:00 tonight and parts of the area could see freezing rain. cecily tynan has the word from accuweather. >> double scan live showing a broad area of blue. that's the freezing rain working across central pennsylvania. if you look closely, you can see how the freezing rain line is moving north. it's encountering warmer air. that's good news for most of our viewing area, however zoomed in, you can see parts of northern burke county on the edge seeing freezing rain. it's moving toward the northern lehigh valley and the poconos. temperatures too warm for philadelphia, redding 35, allentown 37. the air temperatures can be above freezing when the ground of the surface is at or below

treated at the hospital. >> a former teacher in the north penn school district has been arrested and charged with having a sexual relationship with a female student. christie lleto is in north township. how did this become public? >> detectives spoke with the victim and she revealed she slept with mark miller on several occasions but it was con sensual. >> news of the arrest spread fast. the instructor is facing sexual assault charges for sleeping with the student. the victim told police she had sex with miller three times between november and december, the first time in the backseat of miller's car while traveling from a school event.

hearing allowing the case to go to trial but no date has been set. jim? >> police in wilmington are offering a $10,000 reward to catch the suspect that killed a store owner. he was shot and killed in the lancaster market yesterday afternoon during an apparent robbery attempt. philadelphia police are trying to track down the suspects behind two violent robberies in frankfort that happened blocks apart. an 18-year-old girl was attacked by a group of masked men after getting off of a bus on frankfort avenue early this morning. minutes later, a 29 year old was ambushed by a similar group blocks away. both were taken to hospital and they are expected to be okay. >> the mayor of paulsboro, new

>> a federal jury today sentenced dylann roof to death. roof is accused of killing nine black church members in a racially motivated attack. he acted as his own attorney in the sentencing phase speaking to the jury today roof did not apologize, refused to argue he was insane in june of 2015 when he walked into a south carolina church and killed nine church goers. it took the jury three hours to decide on the death penalty today. many of the victim's families say they feel vindicated. >> today we had justice for my sister. this is a hollow victory because my sister is still gone. >> the judge will formally sentence roof tomorrow morning. roof says he does plan to appeal the ruling. >> accused cop killer eric freen

makes. it's 20-degrees warmer in philadelphia than this time yesterday. the warm up continues for the next two days. satellite 6 along with radar shows moisture from the west. that's freezing rain. it continuing to change to rain in the overnight hours. 2:00 is when we get the bulk of precipitation, a quarter inch of rain. only the poconos are dealing with freezing rain at this point. heading into the morning commute, the morning rain is out of here by 5:00. clouds left over, tomorrow is a nice day. by 1:00, 48, 4:00, 50. reaching 51-degrees. more than 10-degrees above normal with breaks of shine. tomorrow night, another round of rain with a warm front. behind the warm front, this is when it's a blow torch thursday.
