russian government has compromising information on him. this just one of the items to come out of trump's first news conference in almost six months. it's wednesday night. the big story is today's session between the media and donald trump and russia takes center stage. trump took off on the report that exploded last night that america's top intelligence briefed trump about information or disinformation that russia had embarrassing information about him and members of trump's inner circle had contact with russian intermediariys. trump blasted the spy agencies. >> i think it's disgraceful that the intelligence agencies allowed information that's false and fake out. i think it's a disgrace.

people for the job. a hit and run driver is at large after striking a pedestrian in darby borough. fortunately, police say his injuries are not life threatening. police are working on getting a description of the car. wilmington police are looking for the gunman in a triple shooting tonight. officers were alerted to the gunfire on the 300 block of south jackson street. they transported a 19 year old, 24-year-old and 36-year-old to the hospital. police say all of the victims are in stable condition. they have no details about the shooter. dylan va lenn a te has been remanded to jail after failing to post $5,000. he stole a vehicle last weekend with a baby in the backseat.

dann cuellar is live with where the theft happened. what is the latest on this? >> jim, with the suspect in custody, police are left with an interesting dilemma, whether or not to charge the parents that left their one-year-old daughter unattended in an unlocked car making it possible for this to happen in the first place. >> this is the man who stole the car. he's been identified at 22-year-old dylan valente. police got a frantic call from parents saying their car had been stolen with their one-year-old in the backseat. they had gone into a bakery and then the other end of the plaza. >> we believe the car was left unintended for about ten minutes, left running and unlocked. >> that's when valente noticed the car unlocked when he went

childunattended but they could be charged with child endangerment. a decision could be made early as tomorrow. jim? >> thank you, dan. >> an attempted carjacking victim pulls out a gun and shoots a suspect. it's a wild scene on the streets of philadelphia today. this started when the suspect crashed into several cars at 63rd and wood vien at 11:00 this morning. he gets out and tries to carjack a white ford but is rebuffed. the suspect then successfully gets a work truck and crashes into two parked cars a short distance away. >> he turns the corner. he's trying to fight. they tackle him. >> they catch up with him at 63rd and wood vine.

the jacket on the ground is the defenders. he's shot in the leg to stop his actions. >> the shooters actions appear justified police say as he will not be charged for wrong doing. it happened this past sunday on the 23rd hundred block of philadelphia street. part of the street collapsed swallowing up two cars. this is an ordeal for people that live on the street. christie lleto was on the scene. for the affected neighbors, is there a light at the end of the tunnel? >> it looks like repairs continue throughout the rest of the week. as frustrating as this may be, this sinkhole is a constant reminder that residents have water for part of the day while others are completely without. >> it's wednesday. >> nothing. >> for joe, it's day four

>> a man is charged with scaring a woman to death after a home invasion in wilson bureau. they broke into the home of 76-year-old carrie smith. she suffered a heart attack and died two months later. prosecutors say the home invasion caused the heart attack killing the woman. his defense attorney says the case is nonsense. >> the death wasn't caused by the incident, disturbing as it was. they say they can prove smith had preexisting heart and lung issues. two other people have been convicted including smith's granddaughter. with nine days until the presidential i inauguration, a

to the death penalty. volkswagen is admitting to the cheating scandal and cover up as part of a deal the company pled guilty to three charges and will pay $4 million, a record setting penalty. five vw employees were charged in the scandal. the company agreed to buy back up to half a million vehicles. parents in ohio have been accused of murdering their young daughter and hiding her body in their restaurant. five-year-old ashley was reported missing earlier this week. now police say her mom hit her in the head multiple times killing her. the father tried to perform cpr but was unsuccessful. police say he hid her body. they are being held on $5 million bail tonight. >> mayor kenny is launching his
