president elect said he had never been briefed by intelligence figures that russia has compromising information about him. a report tonight says come briefed trump pulling him aside at trump tower after the formal briefing about russian hacking was over last friday. trump accused intelligence agencies of leaking information. director of information james clapper called trump to say he doesn't think the leaks are coming from the intelligence community. >> on capitol hill trump appointees broke from the president elect on russian intelligence today. defense secretary said in no uncertain terms that russia is a threat wants to break up nato and we have to confront russia.

streets of frankfurt. police responded to 911 calls of shots fired. they arrived finding a man lying on the sidewalk. he was pronounced dead by paramedics. by witness accounts, the man was simply talking to his wife when he was shot. >> the shooter exited the bar, walked up to the victim and his wife and fired seven shots killing the victim. >> the violence across the city on this warm january night began around 7:00 in the 5,000 block of germantown. two men were shot by two other men that fled the scene. 14 shell casings were on the street. on west oak lane a 19-year-old man was shot ten times and died

later at einstein. in west philadelphia, two men were wounded by gunfire. at 9:3 9:30 in park side, two or men were shot. a 73-year-old man shot in the bicep and a 23-year-old man shot in the hip. both were rush today penn presbyterian. >> i have had several shootings tonight. two resulted in death. it's a bad night for the city. bad night for police all around. >> of course we have eight people shot, two dead. gun violence has not taken a holiday. dann cuellar, "action news." >> thank you, dan. a township man has been accused of sexual assaulting a victim for years. 29-year-old bryan monica

assaulted her from age nine to 13. this saturday he pulled up to the victim's home with a gun and threatened to kill himself. he had a stand offwith police before he vinedderred. >surrendered.>> we have an upday left in a car i. police have cited the parents for leaving the child in an unattended vehicle. police quickly tracked the stolen vehicle saturday and arrested the alleged car thief 22-year-old dylan v valenti. the child was not harmed. >> two suspects have been arrested for shooting a store

through postal carriers. today a mailman and mail woman was inindicted that work at the post office and seven alleged drug dealers. one faces life in prison if convicted. >> the chester county police officers took the owes that kenneth middle school in landonburg. the departments joined forces on january 1st. the regional department will better serve both communities police say. we were introduced to the new school superintendent in allentown. tonight they introduced thomas parker during a special board meeting. he will take over july 1st. the board hired parker to a five year contract with a starting salary of $105,000. he's served aspirins pa as prind

superintendent. >> new jersey officials are flying high after the air force picked maguire as home to the next generation of tankers. the base gets 24kc26 pegasus planes to refuel other aircraft in the sky. the new fleet replace 32 of the aging kc10s. they are expected to arrive by 2020. today's decision means job security for the second largest employer is intact. the base contributes $7 billion to the regional economy. governor chris christie called it a monumental decision. delaware lost out on the lucrative contract. dover air force base was one of only five sites in the country on the short list for the kc46.

of six children. firefighters were called to the home just after midnight. the mother of the family was able to escape with her eight-year-old daughter who managed to save two of her brothers. six others, nine months to 11 years were trapped inside. the first floor of the home collapsed forcing firefighters to fight the flames from outside. >> they said chief, we did all we could. they know the kids were in the home. >> any loss is painful, but the losses of children pains you more deeply. >> work now begins to determine the cause of the fire. the mother and two boys are in critical condition. the eight-year-old may be released soon. their father was at work when the fire started. >> president obama ended the wet foot policy for cubans.
