it's an all new show today "right this minute." >> dude, that's crazy. >> talk about the extreme adventure as kayakers get this close to a steamy, boiling waterfall. >> the thrill that has them paddling to beat the heat. >> that's so cool. i love this. a reporter is describing the scene at a prison riot. >> this is currently happening behind them. >> why she better focus on what's in front of her. you're so cold, aren't you? >> a deer starts showing up at a woman's door. >> on a regular basis. >> the sweet face just trying to sneak a treat. and a mash-up of kahlua and snapchat.
2:13 am
why you'll just be calling it funny. here's the video of the lava fire hose. here's a different point of view from nick's kayak. he sent us this video directly as the water is super hot as you would imagine. look how close they get to this steaming, boiling, waterfall. >> dude, that is crazy. that's full-on crazy. that's just like the stuff the center of the earth is made out of. >> it's a miniature cumulonimbus cloud. >> you can see all the bits continuing to burst and erupt right in front of his face. little bits of hot cooling earth popping and crackling in the water. >> wow! >> that's so cool. i love this stuff. >> pretty neat stuff. that seems a little nutty, but

this falls in new zealand, we're following along with a guy known as haley, 32 years old suchlting up, getting ready and grabbing his boogie board. officials say that it could fill an olympic sized swimming pool in 11 seconds. it looks like this, just tons of white water. >> and just a boogie board. >> just a boogie board. he flames himself in and goes barreling down through all of this white water. >> no! >> and the local officials were none too pleased about this. it's extraordinarily dangerous. look at the white water on the other side just angry and boiling. and it takes a few moments to see hailey pop his head back up again. he's not wearing any personal safety gear either. he says it works against you in situations like this. now hailey says, i'm sorry, dr. bubbles, says he's been preparing for this for three years. he's a video of a little bit of his preparation.
2:15 am
>> ah! he didn't even take the boogie board that time. >> he said he knew the risks and said he knew how much pressure was down there. he felt he could handle it. i guess he could. it's no surprise that you two are sitting here because you have a lot of experience, it's live reporting journalists. >> that's right, oli, back to you. >> this is probably going to concern you a little bit. this is marissa in brazil doing a report on prison riots currently happening behind her. >> oh! >> she couldn't see that person coming because she has bright lights in her face. >> turns out the woman in blue is a relative. in fact, a mother of one of the inmates that was inside the prison where the riot is currently occurring. larissa had minor injuries to her arm, but that's as serious as it got. >> people have to realize we are there to tell the story. you can't attack the reporter.
2:16 am
that's what journalists are there for, to give both sides. and a little bit of crazy was caught on camera here in arizona. >> you can see here the lady in blue is now getting right up in the face of the driver of that yellow car right there. >> leave it there. you said what you had to say, enough, get back in your car and go. >> it's gone too far already. >> so ironic you guys should say that because not two seconds later -- bam! >> keep your hands to yourself. second of all, nobody should hit anybody because should he turn around and with all his might in a moment her on the ground, people will say men shouldn't hit women. but women shouldn't hit men. >> she immediately starts backing up. but we get an ironic look at what is on her t-shirt. see it here. i smile every day. >> try taking your advice. smile and walk away.

emergency responders in fairmont, minnesota, really had a tough job, basically because they had to get in some icy water to save that white-tailed deer. that body of water not completely frozen. and that deer got stuck in there and needed some assistance. they said it was tired so what you got to do is get in there, when you get close, you jump in the water and grab it. >> look how bundled up the rescuers are. this is incredible, it's like they are in the arctic. >> they have to get on the ice. the boat is on the ice. now the deer is and now they are just pushing it across. that deer was 50 yards offshore. once they got it over to the shore, they lifted that baby up. that white-tailed deer was there about 20 minutes and then scampered away. >> i have to say well done. look at all the crews. you have an ambulance there, firefighters, the sheriff's deputies and police officers, all there to help this little creature out. it's just part of the job. >> animals are very important to michelle keys who watches "right this minute" posting this on our facebook page. this deer comes to our door on a
2:18 am
regular basis to get treats. and michelle got to feed it. >> you have a wild animal that just creates, i almost call it a friendship, you know, with a human being. it's just really nice little things, i love it. >> what is he thinking? >> the big pink meat dispencer. >> i know what it's thinking. no more. >> yes, you are so sweet. you are cold, aren't you? for this first video, i'm going to need you to listen to this engine noise and text your prowess in determining what kind of car it's coming from. >> i think it's a dad. >> you can open your eyes now.
2:19 am
it is coming from a poor porsche, my friends. >> is this punishment? >> i think it is a bunch of dudes having fun. flip to this viral video, which is also a show of ingenuity. it shows your home covered in snow. you need to plow it. >> that's an rc car. >> that is an rc car that has been rigged with a plow. >> and tank tread. >> yes, it's also waterproof inside so that it doesn't get damaged. but the snow or the water, there you go. >> it works well. >> that's the best part. >> entertaining the cat and you're warm and you're off. >> it's working freakishly good. that is moving -- the snow is heavy, that thing is moving a lot of snow -- i won't call it a toy because it is clearly not. >> clearly not a toy.
2:20 am
if i had one of these, my kids would volunteer to do it. >> i know, my turn! a colorful new trend. >> oh, yeah, the rain bbow brig look. >> yeah, it's super cool. >> see the rainbow hair transformation. >> we used to do that with kool-aid. >> and it worked? >> oh, yeachlt. plus, it's not your typical train ride. >> we need to find more theme parks in ukraine. >> and russia. >> see the great lengths taken to pull this off. >> the danger -- it's just not worth it. that i was on the icelandic game show. and everyone knows me for discounts, like safe driver and paperless billing. but nobody knows the box behind the discounts. oh, it's like my father always told me -- "put that down. that's expensive." of course i save people an average of nearly $600, but who's gonna save me? [ voice breaking ] and that's when i realized... i'm allergic to wasabi. well, i feel better. it's been five minutes.

ideas on where to go for their next vacation, the tour of the nordic areas may give them ideas. january to march is the best time to see the aureolis borealis. this was captured by a part-time photographer who also owns a tourism company. he also dreamed of seeing the aurora borealis from a plane. he knows the pilot and he was allowed in the cockpit that lasted for an hour. >> it was way longer than it needed to be. they were just circling. wow! now from norway to iceland, this guy devon forester is a photographer. he got up in the air in iceland and was there for two months in the summer and fall. and he captured these beautiful images. if he's not a filmmaker, maybe
2:26 am
he should be. >> i had to go to this part of the video because it looks like that's when he was tooling around iceland. and it doesn't look like anybody is nearby. >> thank goodness for videos like this after working in a studio with no windows. mar vvin and his boys are going on an unconditional train ride. they hop right on top. >> technically train surfing, i guess you could say. >> they are running from train car to car. >> they even got the aerial view. >> i completely disapprove of what they're doing, but in this case that was pretty cool. >> i don't condone this, but they went to great lengths to get all the angles and all of them are really cool. >> you can see them lay down on the train as they pull into the
2:27 am
station. just as you think this might be their stop, they look over to their left and uh-oh, there's trouble. >> uh-oh. >> so instead, they hop off the other way, head over that railing -- and they're safe. >> i mean, it is an incredible feat they are accomplishing, but the danger is just not worth it. not much went into this next video. two dudes in russia are standing through holding the door open as the train takes off. >> oh, my gosh, don't jump, don't jump, don't do it! >> oh, they don't jump. instead, they are just enjoying the view with the door right open. another guy just steps into the frame. >> can you please close the door? >> once this video was posted online, folks started to talk about how unsafe it is. and most of the time the conductor will stop the train because the emergency alert is signaled because the doors are open. they talk about the fact that people are snickering, throwing a side-eye, but nobody says a word. >> really, what could one person do? he's like, close the door. in a situation like this, it
2:28 am
might be dangerous for somebody to get up to try to physically close it themselves when they have two guys up here holding the door open. >> or at the same time, they could be affecting your own personal safety and the safety of everybody aboard the train. if they do something wrong, you never know what is going to go wrong. yeah, you should be standing up and saying, stop this. there's a lot of experimenting going on with coloring and i love it. this is the type of thing people are doing these days. >> oh, yeah, the rainbow bright look. >> it's neon, it's colorful, super cool. but this rainbow style is called unicorn hair. >> we used to use kool-aid. >> and it worked? >> yeah. >> but it's still really stinking cool. watch this. this girl comes in and she's got some color in. after they removed all the color
2:29 am
from her hair, they have a solid foundation from which to start applying different colors and different layers of her hair. and once it's all done, it looks like this. this particular style was done by stephanie lawrence, a stylist in new hampshire. and she actually knows her colors. if you look at her instagram page, she has tons and tons of different types of colorful, really cool styles. now we're going over to canada where this was done by a hair by miss kellio. >> you know what it is? all the girls were bored in the early 90s, maybe mid '80s. we want to be rainbow bright. >> it looks epic. >> pretty cool. a little car loses control big time. >> whoa! oh! >> rolling five times. >> see why that's not the worst part. and it's a face-off in this
