of their own. it started earlier this morning on the 900 block of poplar street in philadelphia. police found a man jumping up and down on his truck screaming and he lunged at officers and garaged one by her neck and hair. and the suspect was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead. the cause of death is still pending. philadelphia police are trying to track down three robbers that targeted a boutique store in manayunk and they tied up the owner and customer inside and made off with several items. vernon odom is live with the lightest on the investigation. >> reporter: good evening, the three bandits remain at large and police in manayunk have come to this section of town, the 4300 block to further gather evidence including at the remix store where the robbery took place they are looking for service video there and along the street.

much of it for release to the public for a lead on who done it. >> and all days detectives with in and out of the remix shop a high end consignment shop. they were robbed by three men wearing masks, they burst in and tied up the feet and hands of the store manager and a customer. >> we are not used to the brazen high visible crime up here but that doesn't mean we become comfortable with it. we develop a plan that deals with this type of commercial corridor. >> it was obviously well planned and not a spur of the moment lets go do this. it was well planned and part of the problem is when it's well planned it's hard to guard against. >> monica we expect and hope that the police will be releasing some of that surveillance video, sometime this evening.

armed robber last night in newcastle, delaware when the employee at time-out liquor refused to hand out cash and then he climbed over the counter and the clerk stood his ground and the robber ran out without anything. and now k-9s will have an extra layer of protection thanks to students in burlington county. they started a charity kevlar for k-9 that raised nearly $5,000 and they presented a symbolic check to the k-9 units and each vest costs $1200. very cool lets get a check of the traffic on a thursday night. gina is back in for matt in the traffic center with the latest for the commute home. >> we are starting off with a lot of problems right now, here is a look at the big picture, an accident in upper merion on gulf

road at trinity. and slow speeds on the vine 8, and 17 on the schuylkill and 17 on the blue route. on the blue route an accident at the villanova exit and the right lane is blocked and something to keep in mind there for sure. northbound is fine but 1:41 minutes between 76 and 95. that is a slow go for you. also a slow go as well on the vine street expressway if you travel westbound approaching 76 you are delayed. so pretty much overall 95 to 76, that eastbound side is jammed and jammed no matter what direction you are traveling on the vine. don't forget if you travel out to cape may court, new jersey, all lanes of traffic are blocked in the black here on route 47 at bay shore road. again all lanes are blocked because of a serious accident. if you travel out in this area, take indian trail road. and then a couple of issue as

mid and high level clouds throughout the day. breaks throughout the day and a good chunk of the day very cloudy and the clouds are trying to break apart here again and they were right before the sunset. but it's all building from a system to the south and west and the rain is coming from the gulf of mexico and tennessee valley and ohio valley and most of the heavy rain stays to the northern and west but a warm front comes through on friday to bring rain. light winds 2 to 4 miles per hour. and a coolish night but not that bad. future tracker 6 we are expecting a .25 inch of rain here tomorrow afternoon. tomorrow morning 7:30 a.m., some sunshine around especially north and east of philadelphia. not taking long for the clouds to approach and the first band of showers sets up in lancaster county and chester county and wilmington and southern new

washington, d.c. tonight president-elect donald trump and his wife, melania descended the steps of the lincoln memorial for a patriotic concert and this is the making america great celebration and the president is expected to address the crowd at some point tonight. we'll bring it to you. but earlier today trump arrived with his wife on a military jet to begin the series of eevents that makes him the 45th president of the united states. the first stop was the ballroom of his hotel for a meeting with his transition team and incoming staff. later the entire trump family assembled at arlington cemetery. and they laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. lets go live to the nation's capital. brian taff and sharrie williams are covering the events. set the scene for us at this hour -- >> reporter: well, good evening

rick, we are live in washington, d.c. there is a mood, the atmosphere of anticipation, right behind us the capitol building on those steps donald trump will be sworn in in the matter of hours. final preparations are underway wherever you look and they are leaving no stone unturned in this city. we looked around much of washington, d.c. today and this was the scene a lot of places we saw public works crews spraying the ground and power washing the streets here and not a speck of dust or dirt for the crowds coming great distances to see it. and we saw police officers and security crews putting in place the final preparations in that record. there are a lot of fences and a lot of high tech devices that people can't see to ensure the safety of this crowd and the last minute rehearsals some of which you are hearing now. they are underway tonight. but tomorrow that is the rea
