white house. british prime minister in washington today. laying a wreath at arlington national cemetery ahead of her meeting with donald trump. face-to-face with the world leader since taking office. trade and torture are expected to be among the main topics. and the focus remains on another u.s. ally tweeting that mexico has taken advantage of the u.s. for long enough and massive trade deficits and little help on the weak border must change now. the question on how president trump's border wall will be paid for is still unclear. sean spicer telling reporters that there will be a 20% tax on mexico. >> we could do $10 billion a year to pay for the wall. and that out rained republicans and democrats, concerned the expense would be apassed on to the consumer. >> anything that drives up the

vice president is expected to speak at the event. it kicks off in march this afternoon and a lot of people have already gathered on the national mall including thousands of activists from the tri-state area. annie mccormick spoke to some local support evers before they drove down this morning. she joins us live with more from center city. >> reporter: and rick we are outside of the basilica of saints peter and paul and on the other side this morning many students boarded buses headed for washington, d.c. and the archdiocese says they were part of the march for life since it began. several philadelphia catholic high schools departed little flower high school for girls in hunting park. outside the center the office for cultural ministries bound their d.c. bound bus and 150 seminarians left at dawn. they will join the march for life in washington, d.c., about

3,000 from the philadelphia archdiocese will attend. >> we have a mass here in the morning to celebrate with each other and then board the buses and celebrate down in washington. >> sometimes it's overwhelming because there are crowds of people coming in and sometimes the hard to get around but amazing because so many people come together in support of saving lives. >> this year marks the 44 and anniversary of roe v. wade the u.s. supreme court's decision to legalize abortion nationwide. >> i hope going down there will inspire people to know that it's not right for them to kill the children. kids have rights just like us. even though they are unborn. >> mike pence will address attendees, the first time that a sitting vice president has done so. >> we want congress as well as our new president as well as the rest of the nation to hear the voice. >> hopefully that is part of their administrative agenda to

morning. a woman and child were inside of the house and they were not injured. and a bullet hole was visable from the front window of the home and police found shell casing outside of the house on the street. and philadelphia's aging school buildings need $4.3 billion in repairs. three quarters are considered in poor condition and more than 4,000 outstanding repairs at 308 district owned facilities including a leakly roof at dunbar elementary. they plan to fix it and officials expect to spend $3 billion over the next 10 years to address the most pressing issues. after more than 30 years in philadelphia the manayunk bike race is canceled for 2017. the long running competition is rolling through the local streets since 1985 but today the city announced there is just not enough funding to allow the race to happen this year and it costs

dramatic video shows it's exact moment a hotel collapsed into a river in peru. that 10 straight hours of rain caused the building to break down and all guests were evacuated and nobody was injured when the building suddenly crashed into the water. new emergency repairs are happening on the delaware river turnpike bridge. crews are planning to install several 80 foot support towers to help relief the stress revealed by the crack in the support beam.

authorities had to close the bridge last week after the crack was discovered during an inspection. tens of thousands of vehicles lose the bridge connecting burlington and pennsylvania and new jersey each day. no exact timeline has been given when it will reopen. and progress is made shoring up the massive sinkhole that opened up in glen side. chopper 6 hd was over the scene of brook road this morning. the huge hole is filled with cement and crushed stone. the earth caved in and swallowed up part of the roadway and sidewalk and front yard and aqua america says there was a water main break but engineers did not determine if that was a cause or symptom of the collapse. the philadelphia auto show is revving up this weekend and from new models to classic cars there is plenty for everyone to see this year. katherine scott has a look inside of the showroom floor at the pennsylvania convention center. >> right now i'm behind the wheel of a 2017 alpha romeo.

pennsylvania governor tom wolf is given a clean bill of health and the governor made the announcement after being treated for prostate cancer, he is encouraging all americans to get regular checkups. was treatable because it was caught early. and a team from pen medicine heading to north philadelphia school to help kid as void obesity and diabetes. doctors were on hand to provide free glucose screenings.

it helped to identify kids at risk for diabetes. and answer questions about the disease and refer at risk students for further medical guidance. and now a plan to allow hiv organ donors to move forward. it would allow people with hiv organs to recipients that also tested positive. delaware is the only state that prohibits the use of hiv organs and now it goes to the state house. a husband's anniversary gift to his wife may be one that neither will never forget because he gave her the gift of life. to celebrate their 20th anniversary he gave his wife sydney one of his kidneys. she spent the last two years on dialysis and her husband got tested and found out he was a donor match.

outside. the action cam was outside in ventnor, new jersey, and the clouds are kind of moving on through and the mixture of clouds and sunshine across the area today and temperatures are are pretty seasonable if not a few degrees above average, so far the month of january is mild and temperatures average 5.6 degrees above normal, making this the warmest january in a decade. and the eighth straight month where temperatures have been above normal. we are above normal at this hour. average high is 41 and coming in at 43 if the city, 41 in lancaster, 41 degrees at the coast in cape may. 43 in dover, the winds however making it feel colder, the winds sustained at 13 miles per hour in trenton and 34 in philadelphia and we are actually picking up higher gusts, gusts ranging from 30 to 35 miles per hour in the region and the current windchill in the city is 34.
