blustery and colder this morning. especially compared to the 50s we had earlier this weekend. that's the big difference we're not acclimated to this any more. temperatures were in the 50s for the last 2 1/2 weeks and now we have windchills in the 20s again. we are layers, coat, gloves and hat. feels like 25 with the wind in philadelphia. 15 in the poconos, 29 in millville. 29 in cape may. and 28 degrees in dover. here's storm tracker 6 live there's that little strip of flurry activity it's off to the southwest across new castle county in delaware, delaware, chester and lancaster counties in southeastern pennsylvania. gloucester, camden, salem and cumberland counties in south jersey, nothing of significance, just a few flakes flying this morning. the bark is much worse than the bite with this. a lot of it is not reaching the ground because the air is so dry. we'll see a combination of sun

and clouds later this afternoon. it will be a decent day, highs around 43 degrees. with the winds it will feel like the mid 30s, look for the combination of sun and clouds, 3:00 p.m., 42 degrees, 5:00 p.m., 42 degrees, tomorrow, we do it all over again sun abbey clouds temperatures in time mid 40s, there's a chance of flurries and snow showers as we head into next week. i'll have the details in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast when i see you again in just a few minutes. new, police are working hard to track down a person who shot a man ten times. the crime happened outside a north philadelphia bar. the victim received a text while inside the bar on the 2400 block of germantown avenue at 11:15 p.m. when he walked outside that's when he was targeted and shot at. the shooting left him critically injured. police officers responding to the scene took the man to the hospital. investigator are working right now to see if the text that he received and surveillance cameras will provide any clues. two people survived this

crash in willingboro, burlington county. the suv hit a tree on beverly rancocas road around 2:00 a.m. both the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital. they are in stable condition. a driver will not be cited in a crash that killed a child in bucks county. the accident happened as the young boy rode an atv with his friend. "action news" reporter, jeff chirico with the details. >> reporter: chopper 6 hd was over the crash scene as police investigated a fatal atv crash along bensalem boulevard. from the ground you can see the wreckage after police say the four wheeler that was riding in the street hit a car broadside. >> the vehicle turned in front of them, they didn't see the atv, right now we have a fatality and one in critical condition. >> reporter: both victims are middle school age. you can see the damage on the passenger side as the car is towed away.

>> driver was not stopped, no impairment. >> reporter: residents are heartbroken to hear the news of the child's death. atv riding in the streets around here has been a problem for a while. this manhattan doesn't thing this -- this man doesn't think this tragedy will change anything. >> kids will do what they wanted to. >> reporter: what's the lesson. >> lesson, don't ride atv on the roadway. >> reporter: police say the boy who died was not wearing a helmet. the driver was not cited, however the investigation is continuing. in bensalem, jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." >> the time now, 7:04 a.m., a new castle county police officer escaped serious injuries when he his patrol car collided with a car. the car was badly mangled in the crash and pushed on a front yard. no word on who was at fault. a former philadelphia

police police officer pleaded guilty to robbing a handyman in bucks county. michael winkler hired two contractors to do at his property, he stole $38 andted ta disagreement he -- contractor over a disagreement. he was fired. chris christie will not be charged in the bridgegate closed lanes that led to the george washington bridge that caused traffic jams. pennsylvania governor, tom wolf revealed he is cancer free. doctors have given the governor a clean bill of health after treating him for prostate cancer.

wolf used the occasion to urge all pennsylvanians to schedule regular checkups with their doctors. wolf's prostate cancer was detectedded early after a regular checkup. governor wolf announced plans to consolidate agencies into a single department, human man services and health will become one agency. it's in an effort to balance the state deficit. this year's cyclist will not be facing the grueling task of climbing up the manayunk wall. the popular philadelphia international cycling classic has been canceled. organizers put the brakes on the raise because they say there was not enough sponsor to cover the 1 million-dollar cost of the event. the race was a tradition for 30 years. the highlight was climbing the manayunk wall. >> it's early enough we might be able to save it.

make sure they can cut down on security i've seen hundreds of police standing around it's not an event that needs a ton of security, but i don't know we'll see what happens. >> folks hoping the race will be saved. organizers hope to bring it back next year, but admit they will need lots of support. the music all rag time will be performed at cherry high school in its original form. controversies erupted when they said they would take out a racial slur. the contract ragtime distributer requires it runs as written. the superintendent said while he loathes the use of the n-word, he will use it as a teaching opportunity. a big lineup has been revealed for the summer's 6th firefly music festival in dover, delaware.

at the girard point bridge, we have a few flurries as we flip it over to the radars. storm tracker 6 live we have a small little strip in lancaster county into the heart of south jersey, the flurries are being reported. snow is reaching the grounds places like glassboro, elmer, chards ford, media, coatsville, nothing is sticking to the ground, but it is starting to fall at this point, now. it's nice to see after all it is winters, it is supposed to be cold and we're supposed to see notice, but we have not seen anything over the last few weeks. you know how long it's been since it's been in the 20s, you have to go back to january 16, almost two weeks. the normal low for this time of the year, is 26 degrees. we have not been below freezing. very uncooperative, it's been a

miserable winter for snow lovers. we've seen 5 inches of snow. we have not seen measurable snow in philadelphia since january 7. that may change by the same time next weekend or at least the second half of next weekend. the foreseeable future all you will see is snow showers next week. earlier in the week we were in the 50s and now we're in the mid 20s. 25 with the wind in philadelphia. 29 in millville. feels like 29 degrees in cape may. the jet stream all of a sudden has changed. it's taken a little bit of a dip across the northern tier states, the mid atlantic and the great lakes, we'll post the word chilly, but not cold. this air mass is getting us back to normal. we're no longer seeing the 50s, we'll see upper 30s to low 40s. satellite and radar showing we have a split flow in the jet stream meaning there's two branches, there's the northern branch and the southern branch. this northern branch controls the cold air.

handed and have not been caught. police are talking to witnesses. also this morning, philadelphia police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a grandmother as she carried her grandson. police say the 48-year-old woman had just stepped off a trolley with 6 children at 57th and girard street in west philadelphia last night. she was hit by car and the driver stopped. the woman died at the hospital. the grand son has minor injuries. the other children were badly shaken up. police are searching for a white late model minivan with significant front end damage. police are looking for what they describe as a gang of violent criminals. surveillance video shows one of the armed robberies. police leave they are responsible for two dozen crimes and may be involved in the shooting of a cab driver. one is in custody. investigative reporter, chad

perdelli has the story. >> reporter: police say this is the surveillance video from the brazen crew's first commercial robbery. employees scattered and the suspects forced the employee to the front of the store and steal cash and flee. >> a guy came in with a hood tide to his face. is a months later, police say the crew struck again this time richard was at the front counter ready to close up. >> once i noticed what was going on, i told everybody to run to the back, everybody shot to the back, hit the back lights out. >> reporter: they ran out the back door and uninjured. as many as as a dozen teens and young men are part of the crew that have been terrorizing businesses from tinicum to philadelphia to the main line. >> they hit all different types of businesses, mini marts, pizza

stores and wawas and 7-eleven. >> reporter: this man, marquees carter made a mistake and left his phone at a crime scene. he was arrested last week. he was charged in three crimes. police believe the 22-year-old is the ring leader. >> they stole two cars from two dips we believe they are using in the robberies. >> reporter: they believe the gang is responsible for the robbery and shooting that left a cab driver in critical condition on january 15. now police want help catching the at large criminals who continue to strike. >> they have not stopped even though we have mr. carter in custody. we have another incident on the 23rd. >> reporter: investigators say when they arrested carter at his girlfriend answer house, he was armed -- girlfriend's house, he was armed with a revolver. chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." >> work continues on the bridge that connects new jersey and
