car in west oak lane. she and her male passenger were ejected from the suv. the passenger died. the driver was critically injured and is facing charges of dui and vehicular homicide. the people in the car had non-life threatening injuries. another crash left twole dead and one other person injured in west pottsgrove, pentagon county, route 422 eastbound. a car barreled across median and wentz down the embankment. the road has since been reopened. hundreds of people turned out to honor lieutenant steven floyd, the corrections officer killed in the hostage standoff in delaware's largest prison. >> i don't understand. >> reporter: the lieutenant's widow shaken at thel.

>> thank you for the update. 9:32 a.m. a fire engulfed row homes in the logan section of philadelphia just last night. we know one person was injured after jumping for his life from a second floor window. as dann cuellar explains crews blamed high winds for fueling the fire. >> reporter: chopper 6 hd was over the scene early on in the 4900 block of north carlisle bearing witness to what firefighters were seeing on the grounds. >> companies arrived as described to me fire everywhere. him fire commissioner said high winds played a significant role in the intense fire. from the air, chopper 6 hd captured bright flashes of light as electrical wires and transformers blew. it was a wall of fire sending 100 firefighters in to do battle. >> the fire in a wind-driven situation like that once it gets out of the buildings of origin it can spread to adjacent

occupancies that's what happened here. >> reporter: one occupant had to jump from a second floor window, he was rushed to the hospital with second degree burns to his handles and face. four rows were consumed leaving an unknown number of people homeless including david brown. >> i don't have nothing. >> reporter: while the cause is not determined residents say the fire started in an abandoned row home occupied by a squatter. >> there's too much going on, basically abandoned they say it was a crack house, i don't know, it was abandoned and he was squatting. >> reporter: the fire marshal is investigating at the end of a busy day for firefighters battling at least 6 or 7 fires this day alone. meantime the red cross is on the scene assisting the occupants of the four row homes

consumed in the fire. in the logan section, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> new this morning police k-9 searched for a gunman in voorhees, new jersey. a man in his 20s was shot at least twice in the chest. this happened around 11:00 p.m. along the 100 block of kicker bride road. the victim was taken to cooper university hospital in critical condition. the motive for the shooting is not clear. philadelphia police looking forhat happened in germantown. the man was shot in the chest on the 35 a hundred block of -- 5500 block of matthew street. he was taken to einstein in critical condition. the shooter has not been arrested. the search continues for a man who stole an suv with a toddler inside. the suv was taken from 8th and mckeen street in south philadelphia thursday night. the video shows the suspect carrying the 19-month-old girl in the car seat. he dropped the child off several
