entrance to friday's crime scene. >> she didn't have to go. not like that. she didn't deserve to go at all. >> reporter: elizabeth wearing is still in shock about her friend winnie harris's gruesome death. police found the six five-year old unresponsive in the second floor bedroom on the 300 block of north holy street when a gunshot, and she was the one who alerted police that something was not right.. >> leading up to friday night. >> the fact that she wasn't, you know, thinking back, the fact that she didn't return a phone call, yes. >> reporter: right now there is no motive but neighbors tell police woman was heard screaming and gunshots night before harris was discovered. harris was an active green volunteer responsible for planting thousands of trees in west philadelphia, and tend to go various community gardens. >> we were shocked, you know, just so unexpect, you know, and winnie was such a dear,

then funeral services will take place at delaware state university, in dover, on saturday morning. lieutenant floyd was killed when prisoners at vaughn correctional center in smyrna took four staff members hostage. forty-seven year-old grandfather is being hailed as a hero for saving other officer's lives. a cold hearted thief robbed a girl scout who was selling cookies yesterday in center city and then a community is stepping up to help her out. "action news" reporter jeanett e reyes is live from center city with the details, jeanette. >> reporter: well, walter, unfortunate thely it is not unheard of, robberies aren't but it is not often you hear of a man, stealing from a nine year-old girl, selling cookies , when that happened in center city neighborhood the community, took action. >> he said quickly, that the man just took your daughter's money and then good samaritan ran after the guy down the ali >> reporter: selling girl scout cookies was supposed to be a fun, opportunity for learning valuable life skills.

the sound of the musical the sound of music echoed through neshaminy high school today, the student production wrapped up five show run. love musical was based on the story of the von trap familiar i link certificates. it was roger hammerstein last musical. they used two casts for this ambitious production. battleship new jersey on the camden waterfront, reopened for tours today. the battleship offered guests who donated a can of soup a 20 r the soup will be donated to the food bank of south jersey. same discount will be offered tomorrow to generous visitors. battleship is opened every saturday and sunday and every day, starting on march 1st. it is not just super bowl weekend but it is will heart health month.
