county. a bridgeton police officer fatally shot a criminal suspect during a foot pursuit in the 200 block of south avenue. a weapon was recovered at the scene. there were no injure i didn't io police. the investigation in the full swing. >> a trooper won't face charges after shooting a 76-year-old in his home. it came after a 911 mix up. it was 11:30 at night. he got his gun. they were state police mistakenly sent to the wrong address. troopers saw sykes with a shotgun and opened fire. sykes returned fire wounding the second trooper. today the state attorney general

called the trooper's actions justifiable. >> chopper 6 was over the scene of mangled metal on route 130 at neck road. four vehicles collided at 7:30. authorities have not determined how it happened. members of a vandalized synagogue reached out to the extended community tonight to say thank you. >> "action news" reporter jeff chirico was on tyson avenue where there is a feeling of much gratitude tonight. jeff? >> that's right. gratitude for the community that rallied around this synagogue after its windows were smashed. you can see behind me the windows have been replaced and while the incident upset the congregation what happened after restored their faith in others.

he and three others were taken hostage. he was the only one to lose his life. a piece of equipment that is the life blood of a restaurant owner was stolen. now the restaurant owner is offering a $1,000 reward for its return. this meat smoker was stolen from the fat jack's location on roosevelt boulevard this morning. it's a two ton piece of equipment that handles meat for two locations. >> it was secure and chained up. someone had the time to do it. it's not something you just drive by and say let's take that smoker. >> the owner will use the smor r
