eight-year-old daughter because she was not happy with her baby sitting skills. the child is in stable but critical condition at the children's hospital in philadelphia. neighbors say there were incidents long before this one. >> she had nothing to say and felt the need to cover her face after what police say she did. sick. i don't care what you are arguing about. you have a baby in the mix and you pull a butcher knife out. >> it began just before 4:00, here on the 500 block of mcdade boulevard from the second floor. an argument between neighbors. the suspect was not happy how her neighbor's daughter, the eight-year-old victim was baby y sitting her toddler. >> there was a conflict over baby sitting skills and an

argument ensued. >> matthew was downstairs asleep and awoke to a nightmare. >> she stabbed the girl. >> police arrived to find the girl outside with a towel wrapped around her head. >> she had a four inch gash on this area of her head quite deep and wide. >> officers rushed the child to the hospital and she was rushed to children's hospital. neighbors say police were called so many time in the past they practically live there and recently she was chasing her boyfriend with a hammer in a snowstorm. the chief wants justice. >> she deserves everything she gets. >> it's unclear what an eight-year-old was doing baby sitting in the first place --

>> apologize for losing the signal. antigovernment protests got tense when demonstrators confronted police in north philadelphia. 12 officers were hit by pepper spray and spray paint just before 7:00. three officers needed treatment at the hospital. four people were arrested for assault. half hour earlier demonstrators set a flag on fire. the protesters began peacefully at the services building where they want the frank rizo statue removed. tonight's black resistence march is one of many nationwide under the umbrella group called strike for democracy. >> president trump escaped the
