at storm tracker 6 live and the radar and use our expert meteorologists to keep you informed. philadelphia police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed in center city overnight. it happened in front of an apartment building on the 300 block of south street in center city this morning. a 25-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and the arm rushed to jefferson university hospital in critical, but stable condition. so far the victim has not been able to provide police with much information on his attacker. now to the city'sbrewerytoe were called to cecil b. more avenue at midnight. he was found with gunshot wounds to the abdomin. police have no suspects or motives for the shooting. time 9:02, a cab driver is rushed to the hospital after another cab driver shot him.

it happened yesterday around 2:00 p.m. outside the frankford transportation center in the 5500 block of frankford avenue. police tell "action news" two drivers got into an argument over a fare. that's when one driver pulled out a knife the other a gun. the driver with the gunshot the other driver in the stomach and once in the head. >> it is getting more scary, more shooting, you know, more crimes, you know, because a couple of years ago, it wasn't like that at all. >> the victim a 52-year-old man is being treated at the hospital. his condition not known at this point. the other driver is in police custody. president donald trump is wrapping his first month in office, today he'll be busy meeting with several candidates to fill an important post in his administration, again we're talking about the national security advisor position.

levees before they are hit with second round today. >> in philadelphia, a highway patrol officer is recovering after a chase involving several dirt bikers. it started at diamond and 23rd in north philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. police thought they heard gunshots before chasing the dirt bikers. officers caught up with one biker at allegheny and third street when a highway patrol officer was injured. she broke her leg. police arrested a second biker. no weapons recovered. the session continues. four people were shot near the intersection of 56th and market in west philadelphia. police were called to the scene around 10:00 p.m. all four people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. so far police have no suspects for motives for the shooting. >> 9:33 a.m., the search continues for a hit-and-run driver who hit a 2-year-old boy in montgomery county this weekend. that little boy was hit by an suv at spring garden street in

ambler yesterday afternoon. police say the family was in the park when the toddler slipped away from the parents. >> he ran off an decided to cross the street abruptly and got himself in a bad position slowed drivers down and obviously a young child he is 2 years old, he is very small you can't see him past the front of your vehicle, that could be what happened. >> the child was taken to children's hospital where's being treated. he is expected to be okay. if you have information about the case call police. happening this week, new york jets star corner back durell revis will be in court on charges he beat up two men. his next hearing is thursday. his attorney said revis was the one who was assaulted by five men. police say the fight started when he tried to stop the man from recording cell phone video of him.

mass we're seeing right now. wilmington, 61. millville, 57. allentown, 58. the poconos closing in on 50. trenton, 60. cape may, same thing. closing in on 60 degrees. the 24 hour temperature change anywhere from let's say 15 to 22 degrees warmer, than this same time yesterday. a lot of that has to do with this right here. cloud cover this time of the year acts as an atmospheric blanket during the overnight hours, it keeps it a little bit milder than normal. it traps all the energy that the sun provided the day before. it's trapped at the surface and the result temperatures stay milder. the cloud cover pushes east out to sea, it will be replaced with sunshine. it will be a very warm day today. touch of spring, record-breaking highs on the way. this warm front will push south if the form of a cold front pushing south tomorrow.

man was stabbed in center city overnight. it happened in front of an apartment buildings on the 300 block of south 13th street at 13th and spruce. police tell "action news" a 25-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and arm. he was rushed to jefferson hospital in critical, but stable condition. the victim has not provided police much information on the attacker. >> reporter: now to the brewery section of philadelphia. a man was shot in front of the steak out restaurant. police found a 51-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the abdomin. he was rushed to temple university hospital in critical condition. police have no suspects or motive for the shooting. 10:04 a.m., a cab driver is rushed to the hospital after another cab driver shot him. it happened at 2:00 p.m. outside the frankford transportation center in the 5500 block of frankford avenue. police say two two drivers got

into an argument over a fare. one driver pulled out a knife, the other with a gun. the driver with the gunshot the other driver in the stomach and head. >> it's more scary, more shooting, more crime, balls, yo- because, a couple of years ago it wasn't like at all. >> the victim, 52--year-old man is treated at the hospital. the other driver is in police custody. 21-year-old bashir remains in jail this morning after she failed to post bail $250,000. she also accused of stabbing an 8-year-old girl in the held with a butcher knife in collingdale, friday night. the girl had a four inch gash to her head being treated at children's hospital. police say she became angry about her babysitting skills and april tacked her. oh, oh, and aattacked her.

delaware river we're beginning to see the sun. 72 degrees is the high temperature we're shooting for in philadelphia later on. the record is 68 set in 1948. atlantic city will fall short of a record today. wilmington forecasting a new record high for you, 70 degrees, that will break the old record of 67 set back in 1997. reading and trenton should top out around 66. as i mentioned earlier in the broadcast the only thing that's preventing us from climbing into the mid 70s today, you see the direction of the wind arrows, this wind was out of the southwest we would be in the mid 70s ease. we'll see a north, northwesterly wind later this afternoon, that will keep temperatures very, very mild for this time of the year, but not where they can have been in the winds was out of the southwest. as we expand the view a little bit wider. 60 in philadelphia. these numbers in yellow that's the average high for this time of the year.

that occurs around 3:00 p.m. 45 is the average. 60 in philadelphia. pittsburgh's average is 40 degrees, they are sitting at 50. look at washington, d.c., their average high is 49 they are at 61. this whole area even those these numbers here are cooler than what we see now, these are well above the seasonal averages. we don't have any kind of winter weather to speak of, in terms of what we're seeing across the mid atlantic and the northeast. this is a back door cold front that will slide through overnight tonight. that will set the stage for a cooler day tomorrow. even the low to mid 50s is above the seasonal average of 45. not too bad. skies are brightening up north and west. cloudy skies south and east, they will be gone around 1:00 p.m. mainly clear overnight tonight. and then we get into monday, monday is a nice looking day, cooler, breezy, highs in the low to mid 50s, but you should see wall-to-wall blue skies.
