into good afternoon in the news this noon, police are searching for two home invasion suspects who tied up a robbed the victims this morning in philadelphia. >> and an early morning inferno caused this property damage at the jersey shore. but the big story is the cleanup in upper darby at the site of yesterday's septa crash. the national transportation safety board is taking over the investigation as crews are removing the derailed train cars. katherine scott joins us now with the latest. >> reporter: sara, as the train operator remains in the hospital this noon in critical condition, the effort to clear all of this up and the investigation continues. you can see the crews are still at work here on this loop. they have been focused on that section of the train now for hours. as far as service this morning was concerned. there was no significant delays reported due to this incident. >> in the overnight hours, and

into the morning septa crews were still at work engaged in the tedious process of removing the train cars from the 69th street terminal. and cars inched along pull ago way from the site of the accident where two other cars remained. this happened at 8:00 a.m. yesterday morning. three trains collided. the stopped train was waiting to approach the terminal and the force of the impact pushed the lead car on to the path of a third train on the next track. a team of three investigators from the national transportation safety board arrived yesterday and are still in our area today trying to determine what happened and why the first train didn't stop. >> and back here live where the work continues, they need to

remove the two cars and make repairs and need to inspect the tracks and there is no word yet on when the loop will be back in service. we are live in upper darby, katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. another serious incident is under investigation on septa's broad street line, police say that one person was hit by a subway train this morning at the tasker morris station in philadelphia. that person was rushed to the hospital after 7:00 a.m. and septa had to stop subway service in both directions between locust and the at&t stations, many passengers were stuck waiting around for buses instead. two people were tied up today during a home invasion robbery in east oak lane. philadelphia police say that two armed men got into the home here on the 6500 block of west walnut park drive. and before 9:00 this morning they tied up the people inside and robbed the victims of

several hundred dollars and a cell phone. >> and internet out able is to blame for out ables at philadelphia international airport passengers ran into headaches because of this disruption this morning. annie mccormick is live at the airport now to explain what went wrong. >> reporter: sarah according to a spokesperson it was 7:40 this morning that the problem was fixed and now they are operating as normal. there are 20 flights including arrivals and departures that had delays and could see residual delays throughout the day. >> there were longer than normal lines during the morning rush. the internet did not come on this morning scheduled internet

outage. >> maybe a half hour. so far. good thing we left early. >> whenever i get there i get there. american airline flights to philadelphia were halted while staff worked as fast as they could manually checking in flyers and baggages. they are delaying all plains for an hour. >> got an email update that it was delayed at least 40 minutes, flyers saw delays on arriving and departing flights. and flyers that printed boarding passes at home, could go straight to security. >> i printed at home and was able to go through a faster line and got through in 15 minutes. >> did you print yours ahead of time? >> no otherwise i would be upstairs. >> people that got to their gate, they saw delays this morning. american airlines saying things look pretty smooth now but they

urge people to check before the head to the airport. there could be residual delays because of what happened this morning. even though the problem is fixed. annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news" back to you. >> thank you. an intense earl quimorning fire ravaged a home at the jersey shore and it damaged a shed and two boats on the property in middle township. firefighters were called out to the 100 block of reeds beach road at 3:30 a.m. we are working to find out if anyone was hurt. the cause remains under investigation. turning to accuweather and really mild air is beginning to move in. lets look live from sky 6 hd at temple university. it's a nice picture on a wednesday afternoon. temperatures are expected to top 60 degrees today and will begin climbing past 70 tomorrow. david murphy outside with the first check of the forecast. >> we are sprinkles and a lot of

thick clouds early and that prohibited the numbers from jumping up real fast. breaks in the clouds and you see how the clouds are starting to thin out with the darker shades beginning to develop and sprinkles and showers around and we can't rule out some of that in the region and most of you will stay dry. 53 in philadelphia and stuck in the low 40s for a good portion of the early part of the morning but the temperatures started to jump and up to 50 in allentown and a lot of room to grow as we continue with the southerly flow. the win withes are not all that strong but the motion of the wind is coming up from the mild south and we expect to add another 8 to 9 or 10 degrees to the thermometer before we are done today. it looks like at 3:00 we get up to the low 50s. and philadelphia could go as high as 63 and then the numbers drop a bit and not all that far, in the overnight hours we get

down to the upper 40s before we start to climb again and by noon tomorrow, over 60 and i expect us to get into the low 70s in neighborhood asss it continues on friday and possibly saturday. we may have 70s all three days. before the front comes in and cools us down. we'll have transitional rain an saturday and maybe a rare february thunderstorm. we'll talk about that in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. we tweaked number soz s so changes are coming up. the dakota access pipeline protesters have until 2:00 local time to evacuate the main camp. as that deadline approaches, pro tests set multiple tens on fire reportedly as part of the native american tradition. the army corps of engineers have

actor harrison ford flew over an american airlines jet that was taxiing with more than 100 people on board. he was suppose to be on a runway that ran parallel to the taxi way. and he asked if the jet was suppose to be below him. they are investigating the actor's near collision. and the moments leading up it a fiery plane crash in australia that killed five people that the pilot repeatedly yelled out may day but did not say what the emergency was. the pilot and four americans on board were killed and they blamed the crash on catastrophic engine file your. flooding has forces people to evacuate their homes in southern california. more than 200 people had to be evacuated by boat and anyone that came in contact with the

bound water was decontaminated. no significant injuries are reported with this latest storm, at least four people died in other storms throughout the state in the last week. the planned arrival of a space x rocket at the international space station has been delayed because of a navigation mistake. the dragon launched on sunday and the ship is carrying supplies to the international space station. and it was docking today when a mistake was found and now a new attempt at docking is planned for tomorrow. and a hollywood production crew is getting ready for oscar sunday and that includes the man behind the music. ♪ ♪ >> conductor harold wheeler is once again in the captain's chair of the orchestra. he hand picked all the musicians that will play the show.

took part in the demonstration. it's kind of a neat -- >> it's cool. she has gone out to a couple of schools and showed the whole thing and the video is fantastic and that is how we get the data from around the world same time every day. and stormtracker 6 live double scan showing we are not getting a lot of data on radar and a sprinkle that came through earlier and in a couple of cases you had a good rain. we have to allow for a sprinkle out there, i'm not see that on radar and as we look outside live on sky 6 hd we see sunshine breaking through the clouds and looking to be a nice afternoon ahead. 53 degrees in philadelphia a struggling for the first part of the day to get the temperatures to rise, we have the stubborn showers and thicker clouds and the sun is out and southwest wind starting to kick in not a strong breeze but drawing the milder air up from the south, 49 in wilmington and 49 in trenton and 59 in allentown and reading

and philadelphia. and 54 in dover and the hild air in that direction and a good portion should wind up in the 60s later on. the cloud cover is thinning out and you see breaks in the clouds and we can't rule out a sprinkle or shower and most of you stay dry the rest of the way. the lehigh valley clouds and sun and milder with a high of 62 degrees. at the shore above average temperatures a high of 59 degrees jacket weather but clouds and sun mixed. philadelphia 63 is what we go for, clouds mixing with sun if the clouds win out more we may fall short of that but either way above the average high in the mid-40s and winds from the southwest not all that strong at 6 to 12 miles per hour. and partly cloudy and cool and an overnight low of 48 degrees and by dawn that number may be rising a bit perhaps up to 50 and winds are light in the overnight hours, then tomorrow things start to change and we

have a cold front to the west of us high pressure to the south and this is the typical bermuda high we get in the summer time. and this could add to heat waves and hot and humid weather and we get up to 72 degrees and feels fairly comfortable and that wind coming up from the south and on friday there is another batch of warmer air farther south and west that is riding along the face of that front. and we get up into the mid-70s on friday and saturday another high in the 70s, the next couple of days we are in record territory and missing the record. better shot at friday a forecast high of 75 and that would be a new record high in philadelphia. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast today' high is 63 and today's clouds mixing with sun and a gentle breeze from the south drawing in milder air and that southerly flow continues overnight. we could see morning fog and

otherwise clouds and sun and a high of 72, a couple of records here and there may fall tomorrow and friday looks like record warmth with the high of 75 in philadelphia. that would be a new record by 1 degree and the slight chance of an afternoon shower. and saturday a frontal boundary gets closer to us and in the afternoon steady rain is possible and maybe a thunderstorm mixed in with the rain, a high of 72 the way things are looking now. it's still february and we get a reminder of that. and it's brisk and chilly with a high of 46 and back up into the 50s above average again monday and tuesday. that is the way this month is going. 46 is low for february. come on. >> all right thanks david. more ahead in our next half hour of "action news" at 12:30. this man was arrested by philadelphia after he lied to them and said they were not working hard enough.

and computer problems caused ground stoppage and delays at philadelphia international airport and preteens are not getting enough sleep we have tips from experts on how to get your child rested. and ntsb investigators are on scene where several septa train cars collided yesterday. 18 cars were involved in the indents so the cleanup is taking quite sometime. and "action news" reporter john rawlins is live at the 69th street terminal with an update. >> the septa crews are trying to clear the track the loop behind the building, 16 of those 18 cars are moved. we are down to the last two, they are called a married pair, that means they are permanently attached to one another and most attention is focused on the lead car with the most damage. using cutting torches and saws
