breaking news. >> radnor police announced the arrest of an employee with inappropriate behavior why students. maya johnson used to work as an aid in radnor township that is where detectives say she showed explicit videos and photos and flashed students on occasions. >> we heard that she was being investigated for this and two other students said they saw a video. and it was a video on miss johnson's cell phone and two minor students saw that. >> johnson is arrested and charged with corruption of minors. and she was a full-time employee and had other jobs where she had contact with children. they are notifying those facilities. the first month of philadelphia's beverage tax was a good one for the city.

city officials say that revenues far exceeded their expectations. john rawlins joins us with more on the multimillion-dollar hall for the city of philadelphia. >> reporter: well, this is some interesting numbers today. this is a contentious tax since it was first proposed. as for the numbers that seem to take everyone by surprised. here is the mayor's thoughts about that and those that remain opposed to the tax. >> people are complying with the law and the world did not come to an end. $5.7 million in sweeten beverage taxes collected. more than double the $2.3 million expected. the tax remains controversial with the coalition trying to stop it in court and recently the canada dry distributor says that city sales are 45% and will there be layoffs in march as a

result. the mayor scoffed at that and has little sympathy for big soda. >> those that own these companies are billionaires and advertising in poor communities for generations and making people obese and giving them diabetes and all we ask for is a little bit of money to put back in the community to educate kids in pre-k and they are like whining little babies. >> jeff brown who owns six shop-rites, he said that overall sales are down 16% and cut hours in his philadelphia stores. >> i don't believe him. >> you don't believe it? >> i don't buy it. fear mongering from the get go. >> the city is counting on $91 million a year for the sweetened beverage tax to fund pre-k and a number of other issues. >> john, thank you. a tractor trailer ended up on its side after it crashed in

burlington county. the big rig overturned on the southbound lanes of route 73 here in cinnaminson. the truck blocked two lanes of 73 and caused traffic delays during the morning rush and crews cleaned up a fuel spill before opening the road again to traffic. the cause of the crash is under investigation. >> turning to accuweather now. the morning fog is lifting to reveal another spring like day across the delaware valley. as we look live from sky 6 hd at atlantic city. despite what the calendar says it doesn't feel like the end of february and nobody is complaining this afternoon. no coats required. short-sleeves, david murphy joins us with more on the winter warm-up. >> we struggled to get sunshine in play this morning. but now we have got plenty of blue overhead above the terrace and rick the temperatures are starting to bump up and they will zoom over the next several hours, satellite shows you the

cloud cover has gotten thinner and we have plenty of sunshine and a few more clouds later on. temperatures are improving we are in the upper 60s. and the sun is making a difference and the southerly flow is not all that strong, just a 7 miles per hour wind but it is coming up from the south and bringing up the milder air. here is what will happen, 62 by 5:00 and we are looking for a high of 70. and we won't get there until 4:00. and 8:00 down to 61 degrees and by 10:00. 59 degrees back into the 50s. boy this is just the beginning. the normal high 46 degrees today and over the next several days we look at several days in the 70s. for now just a gorgeous afternoon building. three people were shot in

the west oak section of philadelphia overnight. offices responded to 77th avenue at 1:45 this morning, there they discovered a bedroom window was shatters and found a 25-year-old and 21-year-old man both inside with gunshot wounds. another victim was found out side nearby shot in the arm. all three were taken to the area hospital where they are listed in stable condition. philadelphia mayor, jim kenney is condemning the actions that rescinds federal guidelines on transgender bathrooms. it was met without rage across the country. one of the most vocal critics was the teenager that sang at his inauguration. stephanie ramos has more. >> reporter: it's just a few weeks that we learned that ivanka trump and her husband talked their father out of a

move that would limit lgbt rights. now the white house went in different directions. they took their clients straight to the white house. in a late night announcement, the white house reversed the initiative by president obama. to use the bathroom of their choice. >> it was gross overreach when they issued this directive. candidate trump says people should use the bedroom that they feel is appropriate and indicating support for caitlyn jenner. >> the president made is clear he is a firm believe in state rights and issues like this are not best dealt with on the federal letter. >> they condemned this. and says it's not confusing. >> jackie yvonne -- who sang at

country. they are upset with the immigration policies among other issues. some decided not to hold town hall, causing constituents to hold empty chair events. they say it's concern and manufactured anger initiated by professional protesters. in other news, employees have quit at a delaware prison after an inmate uprising and the death of an officer. eight corrections officers have resigned and now they are looking to hire more with the money used to pay workers overtime and calling for raises. they will take up the matter in dover scheduled for this afternoon. there was just one winning ticket in last night's huge power ball drawing, the ninth large of the lottery payout in

in the latest push to take back mosul police have taken of the runway at the airport. and there are ongoing clashes between the iraqi forces and islamic state militants that are hunkered down at the airport and military base. the operation began back in october. 24 people are arrested during protests of an off duty officer that fired a gun in an altercation with a teenager. a group of kids apparently

walked on the officer's lawn in anaheim california, this is video of the clash, the officer fired a single shot with a tussle with the 13-year-old boy and nobody was hurt. the officer is reassigned during the investigation. more than 20 hours after an evacuation order was put in effect, several people remain at the camp on federal land protesting the pipeline access project. and the north dakota highway parole say that nine people were arrested. a long island mother made a desperate decision in order to save her baby from the burning home and threw her 9-month-old from a window and her neighbor caught the little boys, the flames gutted home early in the morning and three other children were able to escape by running

of those degrees within the last 60 minutes, temperatures are warming because of the southwest wind at 7 miles per hour and also because the clouds have broken up a bit. 58 in allentown and 59 in philadelphia, but look just down the pike. 64 in wilmington and up close to 70 in dover. the winds are coming up from the south and that warm air is really acting like it can't wait to get here. as we look at satellite again, the clouds have thinned out and we'll redevelop a few more clouds through the day. and a sun and clouds mix and partly sunny in the lehigh valley. and mild with a high of 69 degrees, down the shore cooler, the southerly flow coming in off the cool ocean water and that suppresses your high of 62. and philadelphia a high of 70, partly sunny and warm, winds running 7 to 14 miles per hour. future tracker 6 this evening, after 7:00 or 8:00 shows a few
