the skies turned dark and opened up around dinnertime and now we can say good-bye to spring like temperatures at least for now. melissa magee join us with a first check of forecast. melissa, it was nice while it lasted. >> reporter: we're starting to see the beginning of change take place, here's storm tracker 6 on double scan radar, you can see the showers and storms scattered about the delaware and lehigh valley we have the moisture and alongside a line of activity moving into areas in south jersey. there's a severe thunderstorm warning that has been issued it staying until 6:15 this evening, for cumberland, burlington, cape may atlantic county. this will stay up winds moving to the northwest about 60 miles an hour. reported with this from egg harbor, ocean city, sea aisle and stone harbor, we'll track the activity on storm tracker 6. you can see if you're traveling

>> around here it's dangerous, because in the street. >> reporter: they can't understand how someone could be so coward's to hit a woman and never stop to help. >> somebody nobody should hit nobody and run. >> reporter: police say the victim is going to pull through. as for the vehicle, they believe it's a white nissan, please keep an eye out for it. it will have damage. reporting in north philadelphia, bob brooks, channel 6 action news police in philadelphia are searching and trying to find out who shot a man 12 times outside of a bar this morning in north philadelphia. it happened at about 2:30 a.m. on the 800 block of east allegheny. investigators say two men got into some kind of altercation outside the bar that ended with one pulling out a gun. the victim survived the shooting and is being treated at a local hospital. in berks county, a reading police officer shot and killed a man in his 60's who they say pointed a gun at them. this happened last night at about 9:00 p.m. on south 12th street.

investigators say the man was pointing his rifle at his neighbors having a backyard barbecue apparently angry they re smoking. when police arrived, they asked the suspect to drop the weapon. they say he pointed it at them. officers opened fire and the man was killed. gunman's name not yet been released. hundreds turned out for a town hall meeting in phoenixville with republican congress hasn't ryan costello, but costello was no show. rather than just go home, his constituents asked their questions to a large photograph of the congressman. costello said he had prior commitment. recent town halls like this one across the country had been packed with people and several have become quite rowdy. as a result in some lawmakers avoiding them altogether. the people planned on discussing topics including healthcare, victim of a crime and education from our delaware newsroom an election is being hell for the state is senate seat of bethany hall long who is long.
