temporarily. in the home was a german shepherd named storm. they wanted the dog to be secure. >> they secured the dog in the basement but it broke loose, bit the officer in the leg and the officer was able to discharge and the dog expired. >> the officer was taken to penn presbyterian for a dog bite to the leg. the owner was not home at the time. >> he said he attacked the officer. >> of course they are going to say that. they seen her coming and shot her. >> the owner says storm is a two-year-old german shepherd she got for protection because she lives alone. >> has she ever attacked anyone? >> she bit the kid next door on the leg but she's not vicious. >> the officer involved shooting is under investigation. >> any discharge there is a shooting team to investigate any
