the killers. >> let's go over to karen rogers and david murphy and maybe we'll get a little bit of snow this morning. >> reporter: all right guys, we're looking at cloudy skies, snow slow to push into the region it is in harrisburg and pottstown and reading and allentown. it is these areas we expect slippery road conditions later on. so far so good if you have to get out and about. there's a slight change to the winter weather advisory. they have drown it through the heart of bucks and montgomery counties, philadelphia and delaware counties and chester counties are not part of this, these are the areas where we think the snow is intense at times, where it comes down heavy it could put down slushy coating on road surfaces and sidewalks that have not been treated in particular. this is the advisory and it goes until 2:00. slushy and slick roads and sidewalk conditions. 45 greece in philadelphia. not exactly setting the table

for a problem in allentown and reading with the numbers in the upper 30s. however as you take a look at future tracker 6, up until 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, you see numbers closer to the freezing mark and later in the commute even if it starts out looking like wet roads up there it could change a little bit. 40 degrees by 7:00. dropping to 38 in philadelphia. 3:00 p.m., 41 the rest of the day it's a pop up in our, even a snow squall would not be out of the question. karen, when i come back we'll track the arrival and departure of the snow and we have the cold weekend ahead. >> reporter: all right we're a little late to the party. we have big news for those of you who live in bucks county or taking the new jersey turnpike connector bridge it is reopened, the construction cleared early,

after being closed for 7 weeks. it looks like it was going to stay closed until april. they opened early. this is causing huge delays on i-95 and route 1. it's nice to start with good news. vine street expressway, no problems, we're clear and dry no construction. in fact the big picture, nothing but the green traffic flow. blue route, schuylkill expressway, i-95 traveling in the 50s, let's go outside live, here we are approaching spring garden, eastbound traffic heading toward center city, dry and clear, light volume, no big accidents to start you off. matt and tam. >> the bridge connecting the pennsylvania and new jersey turnpike is back open this morning ahead of schedule. the delaware river turnpike bridge had been closed since january 20th. that created a traffic headache for so many commuters. katherine scott is live in bristol with the latest on the

bridge's reopening. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam and matt, the bridge opened ahead of schedule. this was a huge relief for commuters they can ditch their detours and get back to their regular routes. january 20th, the bridge abruptly closed after painting crews found a crack on the westbound side in bristol township. 42,000 vehicles use the bridge everyday which connects the new jersey, pennsylvania turnpike. earlier this week crews ran a series of load tests, 8 dump trucks with 40 tons were driven across the bridge and sensors detected the reaction and the bridge showed it can support the weight of live traffic and late last night, the bridge open back up. >> it's good, less traffic it will be more convenient to get around. >> the fix we were hoping for was the fix that worked. if we would have had to go to a

plan b or plan c, we could have been looking at 9 to 12 months. >> they have temporary sensors they will remain in place, over the next few months they will install something that will allow them to permanently observe the bridge. authorities in burlington county are offering reward money in the hopes of cracking cold cases. >> i know else not coming back -- i know he is not coming back. >> reporter: betsy rogers said there's not a day that goes by that she and her family doesn't think about her grand son colby. one of nine unsolved murders in burlington county since

june 2016. the prosecutor's office is offering $5,000 reward per cold case for tips to camp the killer. >> people are afraid to talk with the police, they can't do that, they have to help the police. >> that's a good amount of money, that's not a lot of money to them to be like, yeah, let me go tell they will be looked upon as a snitch. >> reporter: authorities have a few leads on who pulled the trigger on each of the homicide, but believe someone saw something. >> colby's sister worries the longer they stay silent the family is without closure. >> i fear i might be around around mieferl with the killer in my room, i might be there smiling in their face and they are smiling in my face like nothing ever happened. that's my worst fear. >> reporter: everyone with information is asked to contact the burlington county

the snow, also areas out around harrisburg, you're not too far away from allentown and reading, if i put the lapse on here you get the idea. the snow is creeping in our direction. riding toward the east/northeast, but it is in the process of getting closer and closer to the northern suburbs. as we look outside we have cloudy skies over the airport. we're looking at clouds with us all day today. snow moving in later this morning and staying with us until the early afternoon. later today we'll get a spotty snow shower and maybe a burst of snow, perhaps a snow squall later in the day. 45 degrees is the current temperature, so we're well above freezing and again, we can't emphasize enough in i-95 corridor and points south we're looking at wet roads. winds out of the east at 12 miles per hour. future tracker 6 picking up the latest snow projection.

overnight tonight it did slow down the snow, it was saying what the models were saying on the late newscast in fact. 6:30 it will be past allentown and pushing close to philadelphia. for the rest of the morning you can see there's a little bit of rain at the outset, we get a changeover to snow and everybody is involved. one change in the models is departure of the snow. looks like it will take longer for the main body to get out of here. after 12:00, 1:00, you might be tapering off in allentown and reading, but snowing in philadelphia. later in the afternoon you'll wind up with less overall, but the possibility of a snow squall that reduces visibility and maybe gives you a problem on the roads. it is in the northern suburbs where we expect the problems today. 10:10 tonight it is over.

coating to an inch on the ground south of philadelphia. philadelphia, 1, 3-inch also the farther north you go. allentown and north, 3 to 5 inches is possible. on untreated surfaces, you could get slick road conditions or maybe slick sidewalks, as well. in the pink zone there's a little bit of that, the best chance of problems is the farther north you step through the pink zone. today will be on the cool side. in philadelphia we'll be well above freezing, noon, 38. you can see how we hover in the upper 30s for a while. 41 is the high, we're looking at high temperatures once we get rid of the morning snow we're looking at a bounce back getting up to 39 degrees in allentown. for the weekend an invasion of cold air, on saturday morning look for windchills around zero and getting up to a feel of 20 degrees in the afternoon. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, we are going for a high of 41 this afternoon,
