the first day of spring, can you believe that. guess what? it feels like the dead of winter out there. we're keeping a close eye on the storm that could bring snow next week. the man with all the answers, chris sowers joins us with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. i'm telling you what, chris, one day the week ends on spring-like conditions and next day it's like a blizzard. >> reporter: welcome to march in philadelphia. on a positive we're killing all the germs we had a couple of months ago, with temperatures like this, everything is freezing, live on sky6 live hd down in cape may. it's blustery and cold, it's a nice looking shot, but you need to add a few layers, don't forget the heavy winter coat, hat scarf and keep the extremities covered. temperatures in the teens and 20s and windchills, get a load

to go to 6abc.com/weather to keep track of next week's approaching storm. there you will find the seven-day forecast, plus a look at double scan radar. icy conditions being blamed for a 25 car pileup in allentown last night. police say there were a number of fender benders from a chain-reaction crash on the wednesday of the hamilton street bridge. no serious injuries reported. once the vehicles were cleared, the bridge reopened. 6:03 a.m., new information to tell you about, four people were hurt in this crash in upper providence, montgomery county. their car ran off the road along black rock road and slammed into a tree. this happened at 2:30 a.m. firefighters had to cut a part the car to free the four people trapped inside. all right now recovering in the hospital. more information to tell you about, right now police searching for two men wanted in

connection with the shooting of a 13-year-old boy in philadelphia. this happened in the 2000 block of west hunting park avenue. police say the suspect and an accomplice approached the victim ass sat at the table with several people. he appeared to be speaking casually, one suspect pulled out a gun and hot the teenager in the head. the teenager is in critical condition at temple university hospital. two people are dead and three others injured in a number of crashes in camden county. medics rushed to the scene along the white horse pike here's capitol avenue last night. police have not said what caused the accident which involved five vehicles. as police continue to search for the suspect who was victimizing women in delaware, there's word of yet, another attack. strikingly similar this time in delaware county. rental apartments in pike creek you need to punch in a code. a resident was ambushed by a masked man with a gun sexually assaulted her and kidnapped her last month. it is a crime that was committed by the same man who terrorized two other women at two other apartment complexes. he struck a fourth time north in pennsylvania, residents at the glen mills got a letter alerting them of a similar attack. pennsylvania state police say this past tuesday arc masked man with a a gun am busheled a woman walking into her home. the victim bravelily fought the suspect off. >> reporter: that's katie malone who lives with her boyfriend said he can't always be around. we asked if this was connected with new castle county.

he said new castle county police are working together. >> we are in contact with delaware, but we cannot say this is in connected to delaware. >> reporter: in the third attack, the victim escaped. the first two victims one here and one in north wilmington were ambushed and forced to drive to atms to take out cash for the suspects. >> there's a lot of messed up people in this world and hopefully they can catch him and put him where he belongs. >> reporter: police say be aware of your surrounding if you see anything even something remotely suspicious give them a call, this will take a community effort to get him off the street. bob brooks, channel 6 "action news." >> 6:06 a.m. prosecutors in bucks county are considering the death penalty for a woman who planned the rape and murder of her adopted

daughter. prosecutors say packer watched as her boyfriend acted out a rape murder fantasy they shared. she is charged with illegally collecting $4,000 in government benefits after grace died. this morning the white house admits that it knew that michael flynn lobbied for a turkish businessman before he became national security advisor that suggests the transition lawyers did not see the lobbying as a liability for the plan was fully vetted. flynn officially filed as a foreign agent, the white house said only then did president trump learn of flynn's turkish connection. president trump fired snrin last month. -- flynn last month.

>> there was a scare for singer who is 8 months pregnant a vehicle hit the passenger side of her car. 31-year-old singer is expecting a child with seahawks quarterback, russell wilson. he tweeted that his wife and baby are feeling great. alaska airline plane hit a de-icing truck in boston sending the worker tumbling on the tarmac. passengers screamed for the plane to stop after the cherry picker part of the truck got lodged in the wing of the plane. the work is in the hospital recovering. the flight was bound for san diego, had to be canceled. i hope the worker is okay. what happened to spring,

12 in allentown. by afternoon, 24, 25 in philadelphia. upper teens and low 20s in the lehigh valley, 25 degrees for wildwood and atlantic city. so you get the idea, the weekend will be icy cold. this cold air starts to settle on in, monday, tuesday, wednesday, all are chilly. we'll see an area of low pressure come out of the high plains that will hit the appalachians it will transfer it's energy to a coastal storm. this will becomes our nor'easter, there's the track right there. as i mentioned earlier, it is march, it's not january, the ocean temperature is milder relatively speaking than two months ago, because of that the track of the low is key. it will you ultimately -- it wil ultimately determine what happens here, the rain/snow line will set up, it's raining south and east, snowing north and west, wherever the line sets up, that's the biggest question mark

with us, 6:20, the risk of facing an audit by the internal revenue service has dropped for the first time in a number of years. irs braims cuts to it's -- blames cuts to its budget which led to a loss of personnel. keep in mind the internal revenue service collects a whole lot of information to verify your finances. there's mixed news when it comes to consumer borrowing, outstanding consumer debt rose $8.8 billion in january compared to $4.8 billion in december. that's the smallest monthly gain

since july of 2012. federal reserve figures show a reduction in credit card debt which fell nearly $4 billion. it marked the first time that credit card debt has fallen in nearly a year and the biggest decline in nearly 6 years. ford is using a hitech feature that could make replacing parts less costly and fuel efficient. they are experimenting with 3d printed parts including plastic molding for car interiors and ford is testerring -- test e -- testing parts for performance and they could use it for cars and trucks in the future. >> reporter: welcome back

everyone, 6:23 saturday morning, there's nothing that makes gray happier than talking about snow. let's focus on the nor'easter monday into tuesday, the most important feature is the development of the secondary low. the first low will hit the mountains and reform off the virginia capes and the delmarva. this low moves up like this. the winds around the low pressure blow in a counter clockwise fashion. not only where the secondary low forms, but where it tracks, that's are the most important points with this system. this is mild ocean air. we could have a rain/snow line move inlands. we start out with heavy snow and go over to rain in new jersey and delaware. if it forms out here, now the

low is far enough to stay in a north/northeasterly wind. where the low forms is important over the next 24 to 48 hours. the key points where the second low forms and it forms close enough to the coast, where does the rain/snow line form? where it snows, it will thump. where it rains there will be heavy rain and there will be coastal flooding and beach erosion with this. in sports this morning, the flyers play the bruins, the sixerses tip off in l.a. the eagles introduce their new players. here's jeff skeverski. >> reporter: jeffrey said he knew carson wednesday was special. -- carson wentz was special.

with winter. >> reporter: i think this is all my fault, i did have an attitude, i wasn't getting snow or cold, and look what happens. feel free to blame me, because old man winter came back with a vengeance today. we may reach a high of 36 degrees, winds will be whipping 30 miles per hour that will keep temperatures in the teens. temperatures should be in the 50s, we'll be norm near that -- nowhere near that. it will feel like 21 in philadelphia. 17 in allentown. 4 for the poconos. 23 in dover, and 22 in wilmington. we're starting out with a decent amount of sunshine. we should see that right through the late morning hours.

alleged shooter an accomplice walked in. surveillance video not yet released captured the crime. >> you can clearly see the victim sitting with about three of his friends at the table eating food when two males walk in. the one male, the shooter, appears they are having a casual conversation with the victim. >> police say the suspect then pulled out a gun and put it to the child's head and pulled the trigger. the suspect ran from the scene. the victim is in critical condition at several university hospital. at this point no arrests have been made and police have not told us about a motive. we do know that witnesses talked to police overnight. two people are dead and several others injured after a number of accidents in oakland, camden county. crews rushed five people to the hospital, at least two victims did not survive their injuries. five vehicles were involved in at least two crashes along the

white horse pike near capitol avenue. police say one car actually burst into flames. witnesses described the scene. >> i heard a smash and i come running down the street and there was people running all over the place. you know, i seen the fire trucks coming down it was just craziness. >> reporter: this morning, police tell us they are trying to determine the cause. medics rushed one player to the hospital after this fight, look at this it happened on the ice in hatfield township montgomery county. this is video of the altercation between ridley ice hockey club and central bucks west high school. it happened thursday night. at one point the fight spilled out into the stands where several adults were seen pushing and shoving. two central bucks players were hurt in all this. president of ridley hockey said in a statement --

fireball, those flames shot from a train that derailed in iowa carrying alcohol from a local ethanol plant. crews had to stay back while the flames burned away. two people on the train escaped and were not injured. new warning signs are in place at railroad crossings in biloxi, mississippi where a freight train slammed into a tour bus. the bus was stuck on an incline, appears the driver did not take the gps suggested route. ntsb working the case and investigating the collision, 17 vehicle train crashes occurred at the same crossing in years past. heavy rains across texas that meant big trouble for

will be monday night into tuesday, that's the approaching nor'easter chill talk about in a couple of minutes. north and west, concern this morning is for some of the snow that fell yesterday, it's kind of frozen. some of the back roads and sidewalks have black ice, take your time. bitter colds, windchills in the single digits culling off a high of 68 on thursday, the arctic front came through, yesterday we managed a high of 40. that happened before the blinding snow squalls pushed through. now we've dropped down to 21. 14 in pottstown, slatington, 16, ten degrees in tannersville. 17 in saint davids. chester 19. all interior south jersey

hovering in the teens, vineland, agenda -- gandys beach, 19, even blue berry county, 19 degrees. yesterday's system is long gone well off the coast, we're in a quiet pattern for now. next couple of days, sunny skies this morning, transition to mostly cloudy skies, sunday mostly sunny, quiet day. monday and tuesday, things start to turn downhill. future tracker with the winds, late morning, mid to upper teens, afternoon mid teens to low 20s at best. we're starting out in the single digits this morning, we're starting out in the teens tomorrow morning. our peak windchill is 21 or 22, tomorrow, it is 24, 25. for the middle of march it's terrible cold. it's something you would typically see in january and february. let's talk about the approaching

nor'easter. we have two scenarios, the first is for snow to change over to heavy rain something like this. that would be a storm that hugs the coast. the track of the low comes up the immediate shoreline, the milder ocean air gets drawn inland, it changes over to rain. how much snow on the front end, 6 to 12 or 4 to 6. how much rain there's a lot of moisture with this there could be an inch, inch 1/2 of rain on top of the snow that falls. that's father number one. and -- that's scenario number one and scenario number two is it takes it far enough out to sea, the winds stay in a northerly direction to drive the cold air in it's all in the form of snow. we have to focus on the exact track of the low. the reason for that, it's march not january, the ocean temperatures are milder relatively speaking than a month
