moving on to the accu weather forecast, a rainy dreary day. melissa magee is here with the first check of the accu weather forecast >> we certainly have some better news to share with you as we go throughout the rest of the evening hours. we did have light rain and wet snowflakes earlier. mainly north and west, things starting to calm down before we watched another wave that right now is dipping off to our south, it's 38 in philadelphia right now. chilly in the poconos, 26, 43 at the coast, and 40 in wilmington. here's storm tracker 6 live double scan radar 3d an area of low pressure moving through the great lakes, you can see the precipitation there and also the coastal low and right now this coastal low jog even further to the east than it did earlier and even late last night. look looks the precipitation we're tracking stays to our south and west. future tracker 611:00. we got light showers in philadelphia but the bulk of that precipitation not over us

time for check of the accu weather forecast. with meteorologist melissa magee and spring starts on monday. but doesn't feel that way. >> we're waiting for spring to arrive we certainly have snow showers and some light rain mixed across the region. we'll talk about that. here's what's going on, storm tracker 6 live satellite and radar, you can see a lot of that precipitation earlier lifting off to the north and west and there's a little bit of moisture moving through later after midnight. and as we get into the overnight hours sale. here's the picture outside the action cam outside earlier today, there in manayunk and you can see the cars using their windshield wiperses and folks walking around. certainly bundled up because temperatures were warmer than normal and a little bit of precipitation falling. high in philadelphia, 42. 11 degrees shy of where we

should be for this time of year. temperatures right now are in the 30's and 40's. 35 in reading, 34 in allentown, 38 in philadelphia. 43 at the coast in cape may but cooler in the poconos coming in at 26. widen out the picture and you can see what we're tracking and what we had overhead. the first batch of moisture moving off to our north and east, so there's an area of low pressure sitting across the great lakes moving through the ohio valley and this is the coastal low and that's shifting to the east, meaning thes precipitation that we were tracking that was going to move through overnight moving down to the south and west. so that's where you're going to find the bulk of precipitation away from the majority of delaware and lehigh valley. light rain and drizzle and maybe wet snowflakes north and west. otherwise we'll drop to 31 in the suburbs and 36 in physical for the overnight low. here's future tracker 6. after midnight could be a couple

of light rain showers in philadelphia. and across south jersey. maybe some wet snow showers as well. but the bulk of that precipitation shields to our south and west. at best, lancaster county, york county and central pa could get about an new jersey of wet snow mainly on the grassy surfaces but mostly, the snow to the south and west of wilmington and also at dover. in philadelphia, at best a coating on grassy surfaces. by 8:30 sunday, clouds breaking for late day sunshine. here's the forecast for the second half of the weekend. sun by the afternoon. high temperature in allentown 44. 47 in lancaster, 48 philadelphia. and millville, 44 for the high in cape may and 45 along the coast in thomas river. two days away from spring's arrival at 6:29 a.m. on monday. then 20 days away from the philly's home opener and 72 days until memorial day begins, something to look forward to as
