with stunned to hear of a violent attack on a philadelphia police officer a teenager. 8 district police got a call about a man walking around with a gun in the parking lot around the 12 house block of academy road. the 20 year veteran officer was the first to arrive and spotted the teen and attempted to frisk him. >> the suspect violently struggled with the officer and picked him up off the ground and slammed his body. the officer's head hit the ground and he was knocked unconscious. the teen ran off hiding behind the strip mall. away found 20 minutes later and arrested. >> he was transported to the hospital with respect to officer identified him. >> reporter: the injured officer said he noted that the teen fit the description of a suspect in a robbery at a 7-eleven right across the street at byberry and academy. the officer only had to look at
