they didn't follow the same script. a subdued president trump blamed the democrats for the collapse of the gop healthcare plan and said it's time to move on. friday night, the big story is a stunning defeat for trump and paul ryan. the gop healthcare plan is dead. a flurry of activity was building to the vote this afternoon with a desperate plea to get the freedom cause you can to votcaucus tovote for the bil. he didn't have the votes so they pulled the bill, canceled the vote. >> further consideration on hr28 is postponed. >> i will not sugar coat this.

this will be played as a devastating view for trump. how damaging is it to get to his to do list to get it accomplished? >> that's hard to assess right now. this would be the big lead in, repealing obama care. as you said earlier, the closing ability of donald trump would make a deal that the republicans had seven years to work something out. there are more questions than anything else. some of the questions are, does this affect the relationship between trump and ryan? can ryan have enough discipline to get the party to agree on anything. healthcare is complicated. donald trump talked about next time whether they ram something through or put together a package that can sell across a

broad constituency. >> let me ask you about the democrats. no one seems to be talking about them at this moment in time. it seems to me this is a problem and opportunity for them. they'll continue to own obama care. if it implodes the way republicans say it will, they have a problem. don't they have a chance to join forces with republican moderates to improve obama care? >> i think that's well said. first problem for the democrats, it's obama care. republicans are committed inside the administration to making it fail. through underfunding and efforts, it will become less successful, a burden on the democrats. it could also become then a requirement for the republicans. one of the things we know already, public expectations are that there will be government c. not yet an entitlement, but

tracks. >> the neighborhood has been living on edge due to a rash of burglaries. >> this is not the first time it happened in broad daylight. my next door neighbor, broad daylight. across the street neighbor, broad dayligh around 1:00, it was another neighbor being burglarized but this neighbor has a system to send text alerts when he's at work and there is movement in his house. >> he activates the camera on the cellphone and sees males breaking into the house. he called police and 15 officers were on the scene in minutes. >> some of the males were carrying a t.v. out of the house, the loot and bags of stuff they had taken. >> the burglars jumped into an suv and tried to make a run for it, but they crashed into a car.

police apprehended three men and one woman. >> they dropped a lot of it on the way to the vehicle. >> neighbors were amazed. >> i bet you wish you had something like that when you were burglarized. >> that i do. >> what do you think of this surveillance system? >> i think it's great. >> it's worth every penny. he's getting all of his stuff back. it's probably a thousand dollars electronics and more in jewelry. >> so a great ending to the story. the four burglars are here being questioned, would love to know what they think of the system. they face charges of burglary, theft and related offenses. dann cuellar, "action news." >> we have breaks news from south jersey. firefighters have just gotten the upper hand on this house

fire in gloucester county. the blaze erupted 50 minutes ago on long leaf lane. firefighters found heavy flames and folks coming from the two-story home. the family got out safely. no one was hurt. >> bucks county crews battle a three alarm fire in croydon. you can see the railway specialties corporation, they manufacturer hatchets for ships. it took firefighters three hours to get the blaze under control. no one was hurt. no word on what sparked the crime. >> the murders of a woman and her young son have people shaking their heads. bob brooks is at the apartments with a search for the suspect.

what is the latest there? >> jim, i can tell you this is someone a lot of people want caught soon. whoever did this, killed a mother and her son. the little boy was just six years old. >> it's a murder mystery that has this maple shade area on edge. >> what kind of monster would do that? >> they are crazy. >> also sadness. >> it's sad to see a child's life wiped out like that. >> they want whoever brutally killed this mother and son found fast. the 38-year-old and her six-year-old boy. the discovery was made by her husband around 9:00 p.m. last night. he's pictured here with his family. his friend said he called him

shortly after finding his wife and son in a pool of blood. >> he opened the house and couldn't find his wife and son. he called his son. he didn't answer. he opened the bedroom and found the two people like that with blood everywhere. >> we spoke in apartments that live next to and above them. they were home and say it was quiet the whole time. >> they say they were wonderful families. >> he was always happy. >> the six-year-old kid? >> yeah. smart kid too. >> at this point, no word of a suspect. i can tell you that after finding a dead mother and her six-year-old son, this is not something investigators are taking lightly. bob brooks, "action news,."

>> the woman that kidnapped an infant from the of prussia mall was convicted on all counts. prosecutors say she went on a hunt for a baby around seven bizarre scheme to convince her family and boyfriend the baby was hers. she befriended the mother at the food court and took off with the child. >> it's every parent's nightmare to look up and find your child gone. this was a very young baby. it is a significant impact on them and they are still recovering from that. >> there is no evidence the woman was ever pregnant. she has mental health treatment since the arrest.
