black lives matter protesters call for the resignation of embattled philadelphia district attorney seth williams. the coast guard scrambles to save the captain of a ship from atlantic city. the big story on "action news" at noon is the spring swing weather wise. if you dread monday's, this morning's weather doesn't help. fog and showers made for a dreary morning and the showers are hanging around out there, but there's good news, the fog is clearing and we're in for a dry, mild afternoon. david murphy is at the big board with the latest from accuweather. hey, david. >> reporter: rick we're seeing improvement, the rush hour was wet with steady rain along the i-95, but it's pushing off the coast. we have it in cape may, atlantic city, oc. it should be gone. we have something out near harrisburg that will pop through and falling in berks county, as

well. generally speaking a lot drier on the way. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you additional showers out to the west. we might see some of that. at the same time i want to show you satellite. there's promise out to the west in the cloud cover. you see breaks in the action down here west of washington and in central pennsylvania at the end of the loop there's some lightning up of the clouds there, you can see the gray beginning to get darker and that's some of the ground showing through back in central pennsylvania. i think we'll brighten up and see things improve from a sky-cover standpoint. the temperature is cool, 49 degrees in philadelphia, 50 in wilmington. dover, delaware, we're up to 63 and that warm air is going to be charging up from the south and late this afternoon we'll see high temperatures in the upper 60s a lot of areas. wind not that strong, so it's a slow progression of the warmer air. 63 degrees by 2:00 p.m.

4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., we're expecting to hit a high of 68 degrees. it is going to be mild even by 6:00 p.m. we'll hold a similar number. again there may be a sprinkle this afternoon, but overall it's cloud and sunny breaks. we'll take look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. tomorrow, rick, even warmer air on the way, but there could showers and thunderstorms at times. details coming up. >> we'll check in later, thank you. now to a developing story, a north philadelphia lawrnld matt owner -- laundry matt owner is waiting to find out if he is going to be charged for shooting a suspected robber and innocent bystander. the owner fired shots critically wounding the suspect and injuring the woman. police arrested the suspect in font of stunned onlookers on the 2800 block of north 5th street yesterday afternoon. john rawlins is live on the scene with more on the story. >> reporter: hi, rick, appears everything is back to normal at this point, the laundromat is

protesters say he corrupted the office and called for a judicial review of all cases he has been a part of. williams announced he would not run for a third term. jeanette reyes will have more reaction from the protest coming up a bit later on "action news." going on to other news at noon, the search continues for a killer of a 17-year-old boy in west philadelphia. he was shot twice just before midnight on the 5900 block of lantern wood avenue. the teenager stumbled on to the front steps of a house where police found him. he was pronounced dead at the hospital. police are trying to identify two persons of interest in the murder of a 65-year-old woman, windy harris was shot in her home back on february 3. she was the executive director of a nonprofit. investigators are not sure of the motive. police are hoping to speak two

men caught on video in the neighborhood the night of her murder. "action news" viewer sent video of flames shooting from a roof in kensington on weymouth street around 4:30 a.m. no report of injuries, it's not clear what sparked the fire. the blaze ripped through a second floor bedroom and has been extinguished. new on "action news," a coast guard crew from atlantic city rescued the captain of a fishing boat off a trawler off virginia he was suffering symptoms of a stroke. he was flown to atlanticare regional medical center in atlantic city. in washington, the failing gop healthcare bill, president trump laying game at the feet of the freedom cause of action can you say.

its self-driving cars after one vehicle was involved in a crash. the accident happened friday in tempe, arizona, the impact caused the vehicle to roll on its side. police blamed the accident on the other vehicle saying the driver failed to yield. uber is spending the self-driving test until a full investigation is completely. bad news for max on "dancing with the stars," he has a calf injury. morris will perform with trooper dancer tonight.
