mentioned was the target of a sniper. >> the search continues tonight for the gunman that opened fire on the parking lot outside of delilah's gentlemen's club in northern liberty. and a woman was walking to her pickup truck seen here in the lot today when two bullets hit the truck and the woman narrowly escaped getting hit and ran back into the club and called 911. investigators don't know if that woman was being targeted. >> she was ready to get in the car and we are looking at video, how close anyone was if they had snog do with it. we are looking at how close any was to the incident. >> at first authorities believe that the shots came from the unfinished apartment building across the street. and as s.w.a.t. teams scoured the structure they shut down parts of i-95 as a precaution yesterday. at the end though nothing was found and investigators say they

are not sure if the shots came from the building at all. people that work in the neighborhood say they generally feel safe here. >> it's up and coming for a while and still on the rise. that is the worst thing that happened since i worked here for five years. really scary to think you can walk somewhere you feel safe and for something random yes, it happened like that it's scary. investigators are on the scene today as they pour through surveillance video from the area for possible crews, we are working on this and getting to the bottom of what happened and who did it and bring that person in. >> several people in the area reported hearing two or three shots fired and no one has come forward saying they saw the person responsible. anyone with information is asked to call central detectives, reporting live walter perez, channel 6 "action news." >> all right thank you. philadelphia district attorney

essential williams is now looking for another lawyer, at a brief hearing today michael diamondstein says he should not have to represent williams because williams can't afford to pay him. the city stopped to pay the da's bills once he was indicted on federal corruption charges and they ordered him to represent williams. until he can find a lawyer he can pay. >> in washington president trump signed an executive order reversing half a dozen climate change policies put in place under the obama administration. the president speaking today at epa headquarters spoke saying that lifting the carbon emissions. it calls for a review of the clean power plan, it also lift a moratorium on coal mining on federal lands. that was signed by president

law enforcement across the nation including here in philadelphia. >> yes, they have a tough job to do. a suspicious package caused a temporary lockdown at the white house and led to a man's arrest. and secret service agents say he walked up to officers at 15th and pennsylvania and made commented while holding packages in his hands and things are back to normal operating procedures. >> a caretaker is now under arrest connected to a toddler's death that we first told you about last week. 22-year-old smith is facing multiple charges. the child died at the house at north is ath street in west oak lane. the police found the toddler unresponsive in the bedroom and say he was emaciated. and charged with concealing child death and abuse of a

corpse. the investigation is underway today. 43-year-old emanuel is charged with the death of a woman inside of a lyft vehicle. the gun went off while trying to rob a male passenger. amber dudley was shot and killed. three alleged accomplices of emanuel were arrested before today. specialized workers are in town helping to repair damaged graves at a jewish cemetery in wissinoming, it was a month ago when vandals knocked over some 200 head stones. katherine scott was there as restoration got underway despite the storms. >> a careful effort underway at mt. carmel cemetery in wissinoming. they are working to fix damaged head stops, many were knocked over during an act of vandalism in february. >> we have to reach out to

it it doesn't farewell. >> this is expected to take two weeks time and then they expect to resume work after passover. a long dilapidated bridge is at the center of a fight in darby bureau be the train that runs through it. and they plan to tear down the bridge at pine street. the bridge which is closed to traffic for years is unsafe and needs to be torn down for good. but borough leaders say the bridge say vital link for emergency workers to get where they need to go quickly. and should be repaired or rebuilt. >> it's a safety issue on their part and it's a safety issue on our part too and i believe this is unfair, it is. >> the council plans to rally the community to press them to repair that bridge. the bridge can be and should be

saved. time now for the "action news" traffic report. gina gannon in for matt pellman. >> things are not that bad now, i thought we would see more accidents on the majors and that is a good thing. lets see the big picture we are seeing slow speeds on 95 the general slow spot northbound from the vine to allegheny, a bit of a slow go there and the vine street expressway is heavy and the roosevelt boulevard boulevard picking up the volume there and a flyers game tonight at 7:00, expect that stadium area to be pretty crowded. here is a live look at the schuylkill expressway this is your eastbound traffic at spring garden, pretty heavy all of the cars are heading to the vine street expressway and the vine is jammed that is why we as you see this delay out here. and 20 minutes from the blue route to the vine and westbound 25 minutes and heavy there from city avenue much to the conshohocken curve.

a human rights group is blaming the u.s. for not taking precautions tore civilians.

and mist and low visibility. 3 in reading and berks county with some showers. better at the shore visibility around 10 miles that is technically perfect. as we look at chilling temperatures, 54 in philadelphia and 51 in allentown and 57 if wilmington and 59 in millville. the clouds really stubborn today with the round of heavy rain and thunderstorms early on in the day. kind of a damp feeling and you see a spin if the atmosphere that worked through washington and baltimore right there moving north and west of philadelphia that brought the thunderstorms this morning and the brief heavy rain. and some areas where you heard the thunder and saw the lightning got anywhere from a half inch to inch of rain. 40s. we fall into the 40s tonight with the early showers and then it starts to clear late tonight. patchy fog early and once that wind starts to kick up here,

well, it was an odd sight in west oak lane as a burglar walked down the street holding a stolen television. police say he broke into a home on the 6800 block of 19th street

university made a decision about its music college. westminster choir college will not be moving off campus as students feared. instead it's up for sale. john rawlins live on the lawrenceville campus with the developments. >> reporter: hi sharrie, well life takes unexpected twists and turns, the expectation this morning was that the ryder board here in an effort to save money basically shutter the college campus of the westminster choir in princeton. critics were prepared to go to court they were so sure that would happen but it did not happen. the college signals it will go in a different direction and they will die vest itself of the college. >> we would love to find a partner to enhance westminster as it currently exists. >> it will try to sell

understood why he felt the need to go after the person that hurt their child. >> they are yuri babies, no matter how old they get. >> incredibly black is expected to survive and recovering this afternoon at pen presbyterian. >> jury selection is finished in the trial of accused killer erick frein. the two final jurors were chosen in westchester. 22-year-old frein is charged with killing byron dickson and wounding alex doing las in 2014. frein led the authorities on a 40 day manhunt in the poconos mountains and the trial will move to pike county when it begins and frein faces the death penalty if convicted. 100 marijuana plants are hauled out of a chester county home and three men are arrested in that pot plot. they say it's the marijuana

plants they recovered in north coventry. the homeowner in custody, and he had marijuana growing materials inside of that home. two florida men were arrested as well. firefighters in new jersey were called out to the governor's mansion this morning to investigate a possible lightning strike. princeton police originally responded to the grounds of a power surge followed by the smell of smoke. a state trooper said he saw lightning strike near the mansion but firefighters found no fire. officials are trying to figure out if any electronics were damaged by the surge. >> you said the lightning at and thunder was so loud -- >> kind of the first one of the season that jolts people and reminds you how loud it can be when it's close by and dangerous as well.

all is pretty calm out there, mist and drizzle and a few lingering showers northwest of philadelphia but at the airport some low ceilings that means low cloud cover, 54 degrees is the air temperature and dew point 50 and light wind from the north-northeast at 15 miles per hour. showers from the north of philadelphia and also a little ribbon south and east of the city in southern gloucester camden county. and a little downpour in central kent county and we are seeing a repeat of what we see this morning. if you got whacked with a thunderstorm in trenton. 1.6 inches of rain or 1.06, a third of an inch for reading and allentown and less in dover where there was just a few showers and a trace of rain. the storms were hit and miss this morning. and where they hit they hit hard and we'll get more heavy rain in the seven-day forecast. but before we see that. there is a big bright sunny day

a local captain summed up the pilots actions like this. >> it's very dangerous. and seems really stupid more than anything. taking off and landing a plane is not allowed in the area unless it's an emergency. here is happens again. treasure island is trying to track down the pilot and say they have some leads. a woman trying to steal millions worth of jewels found herself locked up even before police arrived. the would be thief with a large

hat and sunglasses asked to inspect diamond rings. after look agent eight of them she said she would take them. feeling suspicious the manager left the room and watched her try to stuff diamonds up her skirt they called police and she is facing a number of charges including attempted grand theft. we start with a facebook post from a self described livid mom. views more than 5 million times and showed like crazy on social media. jennif jennifer williamsson was rolling as her son underwent a pat-down. and suffers with a sensory disorder and saying they were detained for over an hour and quote, treated like dogs and

williamson says they were tlib rately kept from the flight because she asked for them to refrain from screening him at all because he set off no alarms. tsa calls this standard procedure and that williamson and her son were at the check point for 45 minutes, because it took the time to discuss the screenings procedures all within protocol. and a lot of people talking about this on both sides today. >> now to a story out of florida where you think the headline is man arrested after stealing from 4-year-old girl inside of a wal-mart store but it's what he took from her that is stealing the story. it was her cell phone, little angelina's father eager to catch the crook sent a text message to her number and a guy by the name of mchale henderson responded. >> said return the phone you stole is from a 4-year-old and he laughed in my face. >> now along with a more adult

look at 95 and i like what i'm seeing here travel times in the green, 17 minces on the northbound side and only 15, normal for the travel times on the southbound side and a slight tapping of the brakes and nothing too significant. and the vine street expressway is cool ofg as well. we see the delays on the westbound side from 24th street to 76 and it looks like are you only ever so slightly tapping the brakes from 76. but your delay is from a street to 95. and let head out to horsham, an accident on welsh road at norristown road and watch yourself there. if you travel to abington an accident on susquehanna road at old york road. a fender bender if that is where you are traveling and collegeville the right lane blocked on barrel line road at west 7th avenue the right lane is blocked so allow for more time. >> thank you gina. look ougt side not the prettiest of shots and sky 6 hd
