good tuesday morning to you. we start off with that breaking news and the deadly attack on the russian subway. >> the bomber has been identify the as a man from a former soviet republic. 11 people were killed in that attack. dozens overs injured. the attack occurred as the train passed between two downtown st. petersburg subway stations. no group claiming responsibility as yet but get this, two hours after the blast authorities found and deactivated another bomb at a nearby station. >> police say they don't know if this was a suicide attack or if the bomber escaped but overnight that bomber, suspected bomber was identifies aas a russian citizen born in a former soviet republic. >> we've all been waiting for something like this to happen because russia is so engaged in the moment in syria and in a war against radical islamic

terrorism and many fighters in syria do come from central asia. >> and st. petersburg which is russia's second largest city is starting three days of mourning for the attack victims. a live look right there and you can see the growing memorial. this is near the entrance to one of the stations and this has been a scene that we've seen all throughout the overnight hours with people coming there and paying their respects. now, president vladimir putin was in the city when it happened and added flowers, as well to the memorial last night. he is a native of that european city, st. petersburg. and he also spoke with president trump who condemned the attack and offered condolences. we're going to continue to track these breaking developments from russia. at home the bitter partisan fight over president trump's pick for the supreme court is poised to take a historic turn. >> as a vote for neal gorsuch heads to the full senate democrats picked up enough support to stage a filibuster but republicans are armed with the so-called nuclear option
