following several developing stories. a pilot ejected to safety before his plane crashes into essex maryland. and what to expect at the newly sold taj mahal casino. but we begin with breaking news from washington. at the white house this hour where abc news is reporting that steve bannon is removed from the senior security council. bannon of course is president trump's chief strategist. the story is breaking and we are working to gather more details. again, chief strategist, steve bannon is removed from the security council. we'll have more on "action news" and online at 6abc.com. developing right now, in maryland, united states air force f-16 crashed several miles

outside of joint base andrews. air force officials say that it happened six miles outside of the base in prince george's county and the pilot ejected and was found near the crash site safe and sound. the f-16 was from the 113th fighter wing. homes in the area were evacuated but no other reports of injuries and they have not said if anything was hit on the ground. developing now from new jersey, plans for the new hard rock casino in atlantic city are being unveiled at this hour. hard rock officially bought the former trump taj mahal this week. it was closed since object following a strike by union workers, coming up gray hall will have a live report on the upcoming changes from atlantic city. right now police in center city are searching for the care takers of a child that appeared to be the target of an attempted

abduction. surveillance video from inside of a dunkin' donuts shows the moments that a man grabbed the child to was sitting in a stroller. katherine scott is inside of that dunkin' donuts on locust street with the latest. >> reporter: sara police have still trying to determine if the care takers in the video are in fact the baby's parents but this case is different. they know who the man is that approached the baby they have his information. they are looking for the care takers or parents, not because they are in trouble but they want to learn more about what happened and if presses charges is warranted. >> you see a man approach the voeler and place his hands on the baby and the baby's care takers are right there and intervene and chase him out. >> what we see on video is an attempt to abduct a baby. >> police were called by a third party and when they got there

the adults and small child were gone and the man was nearby and temporarily obtained by police. it's not uncommon to approach babies, this man display. aggression. >> we want to act appropriately if a crime occurred there and we don't want to leave us and the public open for someone that may be doing these things repeatedly. some regular customers registered surprise to see their dunkin' donuts on the news. >> i would not like a stranger coming nearby mayby. >> i probably would have belted this guy, i have grandchildren, and don't even look at them funny. and my youngest grandchild is 11 and i'm still very cautious. >> reporter: and police say that without the parents cooperation it does make it difficult to press charges, even still the investigators are likely confer with the district attorney's office. katherine scott, channel 6

stormtracker 6 live double scan right now shows us we are dry taking a look outside we have sunshine out there. there is the shore looking nice out there too. and it feels pretty nice in a month or two. right now cool down at the shore and the temperature in philadelphia is 62 degrees it's on the way up for a while and we may not hit the high until dinner time and winds from the west at 8 miles per hour. and 62 in philadelphia, and jacket weather i think as you head out across the region, 59 in allentown and 64 in millville and we see plenty of sunshine the farther north you go a little more cloud cover mixing in but the day stays fairly bright with clouds mixing in at times and a few clouds in the lehigh valley. and 68 is your high. 66 degrees and cool and on the nice side certainly, in philadelphia if you wait until 5:30 or 6:00 today you'll see a high of 60 on thermometer and mostly sunny and pleasant and a few clouds as the day goes on
