new castle county police and fbi involved in the search for the predator. police believe cyber bullying may have pushed a 9th grader to suicide. police are trying to determine what if any charges will be filed in the case. >> reporter: grief counselors were on hand at the high school where the 9th grader attended. many students left school early, hundreds gathered to grieve at a nearby church where the 9th grader volunteered every sunday to help younger churchgoers. >> it shows how special she is. >> reporter: police are investigating whether cyber bullying may have driven the girl to take her own life. she received a text from a fellow student which is so vulgar we can't show you.

10:00 a.m. to noon at the auditorium. 6:07. a man has been found guilty in the death of a good samaritan in wilmington, delaware, 26-year-old calvin hooker would say convicted of murder found guilty of stabbing and killing 27-year-old cunningham in wilmington's square in 2015. he stepped in when he noticed hooker was chasing a woman push push ago baby in are a trolley. he faces 21 years to life in prison. pennsylvania state troopes said they found an army manual called sniper training and employment, plus, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, eric frein is on trial for the shooting that killed one trooper and injured another.

new england, maine, the canadian maritimes and places like that. high pressure starts to work in from the southwest. this is the good guy he'll bring us sunny skies through tuesday afternoon as it holds all this weather to the west. it can't penetrate the high, so it will slowly nudge its way east. in the meantime, the winds strengthen from the southwest, that means the warmer temperatures move in from the dixie south, all the way up to new england and the great lake states. yesterday was in the 40s, today we're 58, 59. sunday afternoon wall-to-wall blue skies, high temperatures in the upper 60s. then we fast forward into monday and tuesday, all of a sudden we are in the upper 70s, low 80s. this model tops us out at 77 there are others that top us out at 8o tuesday, the high shoots to 82 or 83.

your mom and he snatched her through the window. >> reporter: 8 miles away, the child was discovered unclothed walking near the roadway. she was taken by ambulance to the hospital where it was learned she was sexually assaulted. >> nothing worse than taking the innocence of a 4-year-old child. >> reporter: authorities were combing through the park area in grid-like fashion looking for evidence and looking for surveillance cameras that may have captured the predator and his car. >> i have cameras outside the house, but i don't have them recording on the dvr. so i didn't have anything for them to see. i was hoping i did, but i didn't. >> reporter: with the predator on the loose, a warning being issued to those with children which would seem to be common sense, keep your eye on your children at all times while

outside. dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> new information to tell you about this morning, a driver managed to escape with only a few injuries after his car overturned on i-95. that man lost control near the island avenue and it in west philadelphia. this happened at 3:00 a.m. this morning. firefighters had to remove the 29-year-old man from the vehicle which took them about 20 minutes. crews took him to the hospital. hehe is expected to make a full recovery. pennsylvania state police are investigating. we're tracking the latest news on the conflict in syria. punishing missile strikes are not the only penalty coming to syria for carrying out the chemical attack on its people. the treasury secretary said the trump administration is expected to announce new sanctions against the country. we learned that the pentagon is investigating whether russia played a role in the deadly gassing of syrians, some of the victims were children. president donald trump used that as justification for the missile strike.

senators in new jersey are urging their colleagues in washington, d.c. not to cut federal funding for amtrak rail improvement and repair. senators bob menendez and corey booker asked lawmakers to reject the federal budget that would cut amtrak funding after the derailments in the last two weeks that happened on amtrak tracks. governor wolf said the study of the budget proposal found the department of corrections to see the deepest cuts with 650 layoffs. 400 jobs could be lost at the department of health and human services. the budget bill has been approved by the state house and heading to the senate for consideration.

it was the birthday to remember for a montgomery county man while celebrating his 94th birthday, he received his world war ii bronze star and this was a surprise. nora muchanic was there. >> reporter: it's more than 70 years overdue, but 94 tom lees of hatfield has received the bronze star he earned during world war ii. the retired pharmaceutical production foreman was a radio operator during the battle of the bulge against hitler's forces. >> i wouldn't lie and say i wasn't scared, i was scared. i'm glad to be here today. >> reporter: when his son was making a shadow box, he started doing research. >> he has been my hero since i was a kid.

>> portland, oregon got slammed by the strongest april wind storm in 60 years whipping up 80 miles per hour gusts toppling trees, this tree cut a porch in half. another tree crashed down on a man and he died. a secondman was killed as his boat sank on the "columbia" river. a small plane went down in the storm, it's not clear if the wind caused the crash. oakland, california a wall of mud rose up to the roof of a home there. diane henderson is one of the homeowners. >> came down and came through the back bedroom and bathroom and through the hallway and through the patio. >> that's devastating. crews don't know if heavy rain

that bad. 75 tuesday, wednesday, 69. thursday, 59 this is the late day high. thursday is the day we had the downpours and thunderstorms. yesterday's high, 49 degrees windchills in the upper 30s and low 40s. afternoon high yesterday, 49. windchills in the 30s. there were 16 days during the month of february that were warmer than yesterday's afternoon high in philadelphia. unbelievable this chilly air. look at the numbers now, feels like 29 for lancaster, reading and allentown. 17 degrees, feels like the heart of winter in the poconos. 33 in philadelphia. 31 in dover. 30 degrees this morning in millville. satellite and radar along with action radar, clouds are pulling away, high pressure rolling in, that will bring the gusty breezes this morning, but it will relax the winds later this afternoon and into the evening hours, breezy from time to time, you'll see a ton of sunshine with the high and much warmer temperatures, good news there. you can see where the high is.

remember around the areas of high pressure the winds blow in a clockwise fashion. the high is here, northerly breezes for everybody east of the mississippi. that's why the temperatures are in the 30s and 40s. with the high planted here, the winds out of the southwest across the plain states. you can see the difference, 59 in wichita, 62 in dallas. the high will work out to sea and it will plant itself over carolinas, we get into the southwesterly winds like may, june and july like a bermuda high, it's a mini bermuda high. we'll be in the 80s. today looks good, tomorrow looks good, sunny skies up and down the entire east coast. monday looks good, there's a cold front that will approach, the modeling tends to fizzle out. wednesday, thursday, looks dry,
