50-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg. he died at the hospital. a second man was taken to cooper university hospital in a private car. "action news" said that man was shot multiple times. this morning an alleged drug dealer in montgomery county locked up in jail. police say he killed a client by providing him with opioids that led to an overdose. "action news" reporter, bob brooks explains it's an example how authorities are doing everything they can to hold drug dealers responsible. >> reporter: this is a picture of 52 roger korfmann last month he passed away he found by a made dead inside a hotel in upper merion. investigator say he had a belt wrapped around his arm. he overdosed on a combination of heroin and fentanyl. attorney general and upper merion police arrested his killer. his drug dealer, 44-year-old angel leon. >> we're going after people who are dealing drugs and looking at

them as homicide cases. >> reporter: officials say by tracking korfmann's cell phone text they found leon as the dealer. they raided his home in philadelphia. heroin, a loaded pistol, cash, a scale with heroin residue, they charged him with drug delivery resulting in death. >> it equates to third degree murder. >> reporter: the opioid epidemic in montgomery county is growing out of control. the drug fentanyl is 50 times more powerful than heroin. >> montgomery county alone 249 people died of overdoses last year. >> once the users find out someone died from an overdose, they want to go buy that bag. >> reporter: along with the attorney general josh pa -- shah shah -- shapiro said this is a warning to all drug dealers in the state. >> heroin mixed with fentanyl

is a killer. if you kill a buyer we'll hold you accountable. >> reporter: drug dealers have been put on notice. officials say if you know someone battling addiction do your best to try to help them and even call the cops on them if you have to. reporting in norristown, bob brooks, channel 6 "action news." >> one person was trapped inside of a burning home in lansdale, montgomery county. the fire started around 6:30 on the 700 block of abbey lane. firefighters pulled the victim out of the house. a neighbor tells "action news" he saw officers take a man into custody in handcuffs. police have not announced any arrests. time 9:04. overnight north korea paraded its military arsenal through the street of pyongyang you see it there. a powerful new weapon is at the center of it all the show of force to mark the country as founding rural. vice president mike pence is beginning a trip to south korea

exercises along the boarder the words and axes -- actions military provocation we will go to war if they choose adding they could destroy major american military bases in south korea within minutes. >> abc's martha raddatz with the report. 94 militant were killed by the largest non-nuclear weapon used by the u.s. the u.s. attacked a tunnel complex in the remote province near the pakistan border. police in newtown township, bucks county are looking to track down vandals who destroyed businesses. the group went along sycamore street earlier in the week damaging businesses in the area. a camera outside the newly open

some areas seeing the slightest breeze out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. low to mid 50s across the region. dover, 58 degrees, millville, 56. philadelphia, 52. cape may, 54. the mild air is starting to build to the west. we have a warm front that is kind of like this across central portions of pennsylvania. once that lifts through it will do so overnight tonight. it opens the door and allows all the mild air to work in, the numbers are very, very mild. it's as warm as 70 degrees in st. louis. they are an hour behind, 8:13 a.m., they are sitting at 70. that's the warm air that gets in here in time for easter sunday. satellite and radar shows clouds across the mid atlantic. more clouds from the west that means expect mostly cloudy skies today. surface maps looks like, there's kind of the main influence in the overall weather weather pattern in the next 48 hours.

police in arizona say formal nfl player todd heap accidently hit and killed his 3-year-old daughter with a truck. retired pro bowl tightened played for the ravens and cardinals. he showed no signs of impairment after the crash, he was driving forward at the time. the search is on for the person responsible for killing a bucks county family pet. bucks county spca offering a

1,000-dollar reward to catch the killer of a cat named scooby. it happened between 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in bensalem on knights road. >> it was a beautiful orange tiger cat that was friendly with all the people in the apartment complex that he lived in. he was very much loved by the children and other neighbors and his owner. officers don't have much to go on, since the shooting happened while the cat was roaming outside. it came back home with the bullet injury. spca asking for the public's help. a 12-foot shark attacked a surfer in hawaii. others pulled him from the water and applied a tourniquet on his leg. the 28-year-old victim was visiting from france. he is in critical condition. vanessa: i got hurt and was given painkillers.

center city. mother nature offering a treat of her own this easter weekend. back outside we go to meteorologist chris sowers who is tracking it all, a warm easter in store. it will be warmer here than several locations in the state of florida tomorrow. temperatures this morning it's fairly chilly because of a southeasterly breeze, lots of cloud cover upstairs, because of that combined the two are making it feel a little cool. all in all it's not too terrible. pottstown, 52 degrees, malvern, 52. fortescue, 57. cape may, 54, dover checking in at 58 degrees. satellite and radar again, winds are off the ocean this morning you can see how quickly the clouds increased over the last 6 to 12 hours. we have more clouds from the west combining the two we'll have a mainly cloudy day today. a warm front punches through, the skies clear and winds shift out of the southwest, wait until

hospital. the driver of the red car lost control in the 1400 block of beech street that happened at 2:00 a.m. the car rolled over and the driver was trapped inside. the victim is recovering at hanheman university hospital. chopper 6 hd flew over edgemont township where a car slammed into a tree. three people were rushed to the hospital. their conditions have not been released. pennsylvania state police responded to the scene at 7:00 p.m. investigators are trying to figure out what caused the car to veer off the road. 9:33 a.m., a wild and scary scene in new york, confusion turned to chaos in all out pandemonium at penn station. the drama played out last night. some of the images from new york. this started with officers

reportedly screaming and then people say they thought they heard a gunshot. that sent scrambling scattering in all directions some folks running up to the street level. there was never a shooting. we learned that an amtrak police officer used a taser on a passenger who was refusing to obey demands. >> given our experience dealing with similar situations we were able to quickly review all the 911 calls and determined there were no actual shots fired. >> witnesses reported feeling terrified as a wave of people ran toward them. many saying they didn't know what to do and what was going on. they followed the crowd. we know that 16 people were hurt, no serious injuries were reported. happening today, boston marking the 4th anniversary of the deadly marathon bombing. quiet remembrances, have been planned to remember the victims. 3 second tairts -- 3 spectators

in that ballpark. tomorrow is unbelievable with highs in the mid 80s. radars are clear, we've had 80 degrees temperatures in this neck of the woods a couple of times this week. we had 85 and 86. philadelphia was cooler numbers wednesday, 77. thursday, 66. yesterday, 69 degrees. shooting for a high of 67 today. the only thing limiting us is the fact we'll see clouds upstairs. if we manage to break out in any kind of sun that temperature will be warmer than normal than 64. ocean temperature, 52 that's why it is chilly. millville, 56. cape may, 54. reading, 52 degrees. north and west there's not much

of a breeze, south and east we have winds 5 to 15 miles per hour. it's cooler at the jersey shore. satellite and radar you can see what happens here, anytime you get winds off the ocean, you tend to get a lot of clouds. we're seeing that now over the last couple of flames. we have showers for the southern delmarva area getting into the virginia capes and this part of the country. we won't see wet weather here, but clouds increase later today with the approaching warm front that slides through overnight tonight. that opens the door to unbelievably mild air with highs in the mid 80s. it will feel like florida come tomorrow. peeks of sunshine expected. tomorrow morning services, femplets close -- owe temperatures close to 60 degrees. we'll see sunshine and clouds. 4:00 p.m., lots of sunshine everywhere, no threat for rain until late in the day and even that is the far western suburbs

will showcase the work of crowning artists in the state of delaware. 13 to 18 years old. the exhibit runs today through april 23. in this week's "shelter me rescue of the week" we visit paw it forward, a foundation that rescues dogs and pays it forward. david murphy has the story. >> reporter: the paw it forward foundation is celebrating their 4th year saving lives. >> i want to come up with something different an organization that would help everyone. >> reporter: it got the start when they saw a need for medical funding in local rescue. money is an issue. >> reporter: since the founding paw it forward has donated $45,000 to cover the cost of medical care at local rescues. they have their own rescue
