down a grandmother and granddaughter and carjacked another vehicle to get away. >> reporter: authorities say there is a person of interest in custody at upper darby police. philadelphia police detectives are heading to chop and penn presbyterian hospital to check in with the victims. they tell us the youngest victim is in serious condition this is the scene around 1:30 p.m. when a man on the dirt bike hit a woman and child crossing the street together. paris marshall witnessed the chaotic scene. >> the guy jumped off the bike and carjacked somebody's car and tried to get away, the cops was behind him, i hope they got the girl, they don't know if she was all right. >> the operator of the motor vehicle gets off and pulls a knife out and carjacks a vehicle and takes off with the vehicle. >> we have the vehicle in cobbs

creek parkway. >> reporter: philadelphia police confirm a detail looking for illegal dirt bike riders tried to pull over the suspect in philadelphia before he crossed over into upper darby. the mayor of upper darby saying more people could have been hurt on this busy saturday because of a show at the tower theater. >> it's a kid show from youtube, we probably have 1500 to two thousand people lined up to get into the show before opening. for us, we have fire department and ems here, so she was picked up right away. that's the fortunate part, the unfortunate part she is in serious condition. >> reporter: and philadelphia police said they are investigating if their officers engaged in are a pursuit and if so when police terminated. they have to go through dispatch information. it is still an on going investigation, the victim who was carjacked was not injured.

has the exclusive minute cast, the only minute by minute precipitation for the region. it's a free download your mobile device. ten people suffered minor injuries in a chain-reaction crash in wilmington. the action cam on the scene after it happened at 10:00 a.m. this morning. it took place on the southbound lanes north of the 495. at least ten vehicles were involved. four of the injured were children, but none of the injuries is life threatening. a lot of damage forcing police to shut down the southbound lanes. the highway has been reopened. investigators in bucks county are trying to determine how a fire started last night that ended with the death of a woman inside a home in lansdale. tonight the neighbors of the victim are speaking about what they saw, bob brooks is live at the scene with the details. bob? >> reporter: walter i spoke with the son of the victim who showed up to the house to grab a few things. there was a rumor going around

he was arrested for starting the fire. he wanted to make clear that was not the case. he was handcuffed at the scene to prevent him from run inside the house by the police to save his money. this is a home where it happened. doesn't look too bad, but we are told that the damage was confined to the back and there was a lot of time smoke. we spoke to neighbors about everything that went down out here, let's take a listen. as you can hear the fire in lansdale that turned deadly. the victim a mother trapped inside her abbey lane yesterday. next-door neighborhoods and his family said they lost their good friend karen mavin, she is picture here celebrating his son's birthday. >> she loved my son and wife very much. >> reporter: according to police, the fire sparked around 6:30 p.m. that's when karen's son zack came running to the neighbor's for help. >> he started screaming.

i came back on my driveway, he said to me, call 911. he was upset. he said he cannot go inside. karen never came out. we are told her son was frantic, he tried to run into the flames to save her. >> reporter: he it was trying to break the windows to get in there? >> yeah yeah. >> reporter: we can see part of the rescue mission for mavin, but we know she didn't survive. an investigation is underway. another live look out here, zack tells us there were gas cans inside the living room, i'm not sure what that means, at this point the local police have not given us an update on the investigation. reporting live in lansdale, bob brooks channel 6 "action news." walter? >> thank four that report. police in philadelphia are investigating an overnight shooting that resulted in four teenagers in the hospital after

midnight someone opened fire along the 5900 block of hammonton street in olney section. investigators were called to the scene, when they arrived they found bullet casings, but no victims. several hours later, the teenage victims arrived at einstein with gunshots wound. all are expected to be okay, but the gunman who is believed to be a teenager is on the loose tonight. in berks county another teenager was critically wounded after being shot late last night. this violence unfolded in washington township around 8:00 p.m. police were called to is to road where a 13-year-old boy was shot repeatedly. today is april 15 annual tax day, protests took place for president trump to release his tax returns and in someplaces things turned violent.

in philadelphia, they held signs calling for transparency in the trump administration. there is a giant inflatable chicken. things were not so peaceful in berkeley, california where a huge brawl broke out. 15 people were arrested during the clash which started with pushing and shoving and end in a melee. police say more arrests are expected several people were injured. no word on how it started. this is a drill, it's only a drill. it's what you call, a firefighters call a live burn, the reliance hook and ladder company organized the live burn in west chester, this is the west chester fire department training center. delaware county firemen's association is looking to recruit firefighters and other emergency personnel. thousands of donated meals will provide easter sunday meals tomorrow for families in need. it combines the effort of local churches and organizations across the delaware valley. this location in south philadelphia was one of the many sites where chickens and hams were handed out. the goal was to give out 6,000 meals in time for easter sunday. >> two, one! >> reporter: and they are off, these youngsters in cherry hill, new jersey gathered as many
