woman was shot and killed in the kensington section. police say this handgun was used to kill that woman. we are told the shooter got away. the crime happened in the 700 block of east till ton street. the woman was shot in the chest around 1:00 a.m. she was taken to temple university hospital, but could not be saved. police are working to track down the shooter, they are looking for clues and a motive. new information to tell you about this morning, three people trying to escape a burning home in gloucester township, camden county. fire started after midnight damaging the home on lincoln avenue. the fire began in the basement. flames spread to the other part of the home before the firefighters put out the fire. red cross is helping those displaced. the cause is under investigation. a rowan university police officer is injured, but talking after being hit by a car. the officer had pulled over a car in the 300 block of mullica

hill road in glassboro. that's on the border of rowan campus. as he was dealing with that driver, a second vehicle struck the officer. the officer's injuries are serious, but not life threatening. no word whether charges will be filed. a grandmother and grandchild were hit by a dirt bike in upper darby. it happened during a police chase and the violence did not stop there. annie mccormick explains. >> reporter: both victims went to the hospital, the grandmother to penn presbyterian the young child to chop. upper darby police have a person of interest in custody. however no charges were announced. >> they hit them, they went flying in the air. >> reporter: this was the dirt bike that plowed through a packed 59th street in upper darby. the police and witnesses say the

dirt bike driver didn't top there. >> he jumped off the bike and tried to car jack somebody's car. the cops was right behind them. i hope they got the guy. the girl, nobody knows if she is already. >> the operator of the motor vehicle gets off it and pulls a knife and carjacks a vehicle and takes off with the vehicle. we have the vehicle on cobbs creek parkway. >> reporter: philadelphia confirm a detail looking for illegal dirt bike and atv riledders, the driver crossed into upper darby while people walked into the tower theater for a family-friendly show. he dodged traffic zipping through. >> it's a kids show from youtube, we probably have 1500 to two thousand people lined up to get into the hoe enter opening. we have fire department and ems

dozens of firefighters in pasaic, new jersey, spent the day battling a fast-moving apartment fire. 1:00 p.m., shooting flames and plooms of black smoke that could be seen from miles away. no injuries were reported, but a number of people were displaced by the fire. they are getting help from the red cross. the cause is under investigation. several reported tornadoes

state trooper may lead to a man who killed a google executive. the 27-year-old new yorker disappeared while jogging near her home. the body was discovered several hours later. ortiz was arrested after his suv matched the description of the s&p. his dna was a match for the dna found under her finger nails. he is facing a number of charges including aggravated assault. murder charges will be leveled

rooftops and metal detecters. philadelphia police are working to solve a shooting investigation. they say a man was shot inside a delaware avenue club. here's what we know. the 26-year-old victim was injured in a leg by the bullet. it happened at the b side complex nightclub in the 900 block of north delaware avenue in fishtown. the man is being treated at had anman -- hanheman university hospital. police are trying to figure out what happened and who fired the shots. police are trying to solve a triple shooting in kensington all three victims were men. police are trying to figure out a motive and locate the shooter. a 7-year-old boy was found at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool in voorhees, new jersey, they got a pulse on the boy, but at last check he is in critical condition at children's hospital in philadelphia. police say foul play is not

suspected. we have a sad update to a story we brought you yesterday morning, a mother did not make it out of her home in lansdale, montgomery county. despite her young son's efforts to get help. here's bob brooks. >> she didn't make it. >> reporter: as you can hear a fire in lansdale turned deadly. the victim was a mothered trapped inside her abbey drive home. the neighbors said they lost their good friend. she is pictured here celebrating the neighbor's son birthday. >> she loved my son and wife. >> reporter: according to police, the fire sparked around 6:30 that's when zack came running over to his neighbors for help. >> he started screaming, i came back on my driveway, he came to me saying call 911. >> he said he could not go inside. >> reporter: but karen never

and they have a nice day for it. >> reporter: temperatures in the 60s, and mainly clear skies,. >> chris, you buried the lead. >> reporter: look at that. that's a shot looking toward south jersey, looking east as the sun starts to rise. it's going to be a gorgeous day, a ton of sunshine, a few clouds mixed in. and warm temperatures. let's flip it over to the radars. for the most part we're clear, although if you look at the bottom of the screen we have spritzes and sprinkles showing up south of dover. we'll zoom in there first, here's milford along the sussex, kent county line. this is rushing off to the east. it will hit the southern area of cape may county within the hour or so. it is not too heavy, just lighter shades of green, couple of specks of yellow showing up there. it will move off to the east and move out of here in an hour or so.

85 degrees, that's a big deal later this afternoon. one of the warmest temperatures, it would be the warmest temperature we've seen this year. we hit on this date back in 2002. we're 21 degrees above the seasonal average of 64. atlantic city if he airport, 66. millville, 62. dover, 65 we're at 61. the lehigh valley just a little bit cooler with temperatures close to 50 degrees, but there's no wind to the north. so it feels pretty comfortable. ten miles per hour out of the southwest in dover. 7 in atlantic city and 8 miles in philadelphia. satellite and radar pretty quiet out there, showers off to the west. this is the leading edge of the frontal system that is heading this way overnight tonight, it will bring cooler, drier air to the region as we get into monday. for today, we're in advance of the front. we're picking up our southwesterly windy that gets us into the 80s, look for mostly sunny skies, maybe a couple of clouds this afternoon. the front crosses the region this evening.

april is carrying for her baby boy, you might have seen it on abc yesterday. 45 minutes after the little guy was born at a new york zoo. he stood, albeit, a little wobbliy. the birth was witnessed via live stream. a person is reunited with her family 44 years after she last saw them. nora muchanic was in elmer for the emotional encounter. >> reporter: this was the scene in elmer salem county as a long lost sister was welcomed home by her siblings, the last time they saw was 44 years ago. she ran away from home when she was 16 years old nobody ever heard from her again, but her brothers and sisters didn't forget her. >> i wonder if she is a live

and if she is okay watch over her. >> reporter: she was tracked down in poured atlanta oregon, 7 years when her mother was dieing. when she heard her terminally ill brother asked to see her, she made the arrangements and now she is reunited with her family. >> it's amazing to see them again after all these years. i have to go see my baby brother. >> my heart is racing so fast. it's a beautiful thing, i appreciate everybody here today. >> she was scared to fly, and scared to meet everybody after so many years. >> reporter: nobody can make up for the lost time, now that she has been reconnected with her family, they can make the most out of the years ahead. >> now that we found her and where she is now, window we'll stay in contact for life.
