the shooter. they are looking for clues and a motive. three people were able to escape a burning home in gloucester township, camden county. the fire started shortly after midnight. damaging a home in the unit block of lincoln avenue. investigators say the fire began in the basement. flames spread to other parts of the home before firefighters put it out. the cause of the fire this morning still under investigation. a rowan university police officer is injured, but talking after being hit by a car. around 10:00 p.m., the officer pulled over a car in the 300 block of mullica hill road in glassboro on the border of rowan campus. a second vehicle hit the officer. the vehicle stopped. the officers' injuries are serious, will you not life threatening. no word if charges will be filed. a grandmother and grandchild were hit by a dirt bike in upper darby. it happened after the police chase in philadelphia and the violence did not stop there.

annie mccormick explains. >> reporter: both of the victims went to the hospital, the grandmother to penn presbyterian hospital and the young child a 6-year-old to chop. upper darby police have a person of interest in custody, however no charges have been announcedment. >> he hit both of them and they went flying in the air. >> reporter: this is the dirt bike that plowed through a packed 59th street in upper darby striking a grandmother and child. the dirt bike driver didn't stop there. >> the guy jumped off the bike and carjacked somebody's car tried to get away. the cons was right behind him. ride behind him, i hope they got the guy. the girl she was stillless, nobody knows if she was all right. >> the operator of the motor vehicle gets off it and pulls a knife out and carjacks a vehicle and takes off with the vehicle. we have the vehicle on cobbs creek parkway.

>> reporter: philadelphia police confirm a detail looking for illegal dirt bikes and atv riders pulled over a suspect, but terminated the brief pursuit. the driver drove through upper darby dodging traffic zipping through. authorities were thankful more people were not injured considering adults and children were heading inside. >> a kid show from youtube. we have 1500 to two thousand people lined up to get into the show before opening. fortunately the fire department and ems were here automatically, she was picked up right away. that's the fortunate part, the unfortunate part she is in serious condition. >> reporter: the grandmother and young girl are in stable condition. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> if you're just waking up, 7:07 a.m. traveling around the benjamin franklin parkway will get more difficult. beginning wednesday, the inner
