>> detectives are checking out leads in the murder of a 24-year-old woman in kensington. police say this handgun right here was used to kill her. the woman was shot in the chest around 1:00 a.m. in the 700 block of east tilton street. she was taken to temple hospital where she died. a rowan police officer recovering after being hit by a car. this happened around 10:00 p.m., the officer pulled over a car in the 300 block of mullica hill road on the border of rowan campus, while dealing with that driver, a passing car hit him. second driver stopped. he had bruising throughout his body and consults and broken facial bone. no word whether any charges would be filed. three people had to flee to get out of a burning home in gloucester township camden county. the fire started in the basement of the home on lincoln avenue.

the transfer is back on track, more than 3,000 people are on the way to safer parts of the country. philadelphia police are investigating a shooting inside a delaware avenue nightclub. a bullet hit a 26-year-old in the leg at the b-side nightclub in fishtown. the shooting happened at 2:30 a.m. the man was taken to hanheman university hospital. a 7-year-old boy is in critical condition after being found at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool in voorhees, new jersey. medics were found around 9:00 p.m. after the boy was found unresponsive. he was rushed to vertua voorhees across the street and transferred to children's hospital in philadelphia. police say foul play is not expected. a woman and her granddaughter were run down by a

dirt bike yesterday afternoon. five-day forecast police were out looking for illegal dirt bikes and atv riders, the suspect led them on a brief chase before crossing over into upper darby where the suspect slammed into the woman and child narrowly missing families walking into a show from the tower theater. >> it's a kid show from youtube. we had 1500 to two thousand people lined up to get into the show. we had fire and ems automatically, so she was picked up right away. >> after striking the family, the biker carjacked a woman that car was recovered and a person of interest was taken into custody. investigators are trying to figure out what caused friday night's fire in lansdale. a mother died in the fire. karen mavin was trapped in her abbey lane home. her son try to save his mom from

had her baby. 1.2 million people watched from a live stream as the giraffe delivered a baby boy. abc has an exclusive first an inclusive look at the calf. after he was born he stood albeit very wobbly. park officials hope that will mean more momentum for wildlife efforts. while the world was waiting for april to have her baby, another giraffe delivered her own big bundle of joy. she gave birth to a girl who weighed in at 139 pounds and

pressure is falling. winds out of the west/southwest at 14 miles per hour. some of the gusts are as high as 25 miles per hour. straight out of the southwest 20 miles per hour in lancaster. 14 in philadelphia. 15 in millville. approximately 12 in sea isle city. 82 in dover, wilmington, philadelphia, trenton, 80. millville, 81. atlantic city at the airport, 83. look what's going on in cape may, you've got a bay breeze kicking in, it's 67 degrees because the bay waters are in the 50s. a little bit cooler down there. as advertised it's warmer here than down in florida. even the carolinas are not as warm as what we're seeing right now. 835 in washington, d.c. 82 in philadelphia. 78 in charleston and is a savanh and 71 in charlotte. flip it over to the radars, showers and thunderstorms blossoming in the last couple of

hours. at this point nothing turning severe, but the storm prediction center has an eye on this part of the country. this will slide east in advance of a cold front that will push through overnight tonight. as it works through the delaware and the lehigh valley, it starts to lose some of its punch and the result will be a couple of showers. you can see the model is not impressed at all. very hit or miss between 8:00 p.m. and so p.m. north and west. by the time it slides through the city there might not be anything at all. 10:00 a.m. there's showers across south jersey tomorrow morning and delaware, this is the only forecast model that's showing that. every other model is showing a combination of sun and clouds, full sunshine by afternoon. sun and clouds the rest of the way today, breezy. 85 degrees is the forecasted high. winds are gusty out of the west/southwest at 20 to 30 miles per hour. overnight tonight, these numbers are actually normal for our -- or the normal high for this time
