>> translator: we'll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. >> reporter: even in the face of stern warnings from president trump. any message for north korea? >> got to be behave. >> reporter: over the weekend pomp and circumstance and a strong show of force in pyongyang. kim jong-un's military might on full display but also the embarrassing botched test. a missile exploding seconds after launch. vice president pence cautioning the north again this morning as he landed in japan. >> the era of strategic patience is over. and while all options are on the table, president trump is determined to work closely with japan, with south korea, with all our allies in the region and with china. >> reporter: neither side backing down as tensions reach a dangerous high. north korea threatening there could be dire consequences.

>> thermonuclear war may break out at any moment on the peninsula. >> the problem will be taken care of. >> reporter: the white house is leaning on chooib to cool the escalating situation. >> i don't think there's anybody in the world who would not believe that north korea's actions are both provocative and a concern. >> reporter: when asked about his next move president trump only saying, you'll see. and during the vice president's ten-day asia tour he has already recalled the strike in syria and bombing in afghanistan saying north korea would not do well to press president trump's resolve. >> the tensions on the korean peninsula have lawmakers in hawaii dusting off emergency attack plans. >> the type we haven't heard of since the cold war days. honolulu is roughly 4500 miles from the north korean capital pyongyang and experts believe

that north korea doesn't have a missile capable of reaching hawaii yet but that doesn't stop lawmakers recently passing a resolution to have state officials update their plans to deal with a nuclear attack restocking cold war era shelters with water, food and other supplies. president trump is scheduled to sign an executive order to buy american and hire american. the h1b is often used to attack high skilled workers from other countries. the white house says those visas undercut americans by bringing in cheaper labor. the order also calls for stricter requirements for the federal government to use american made products. on this tax day, the trump administration is fending off criticism about a lack of trance parent pi. after thousands of protesters turned out across the country to call on president trump to release his tax returns. the white house again citing ongoing audits but declined to provide proof of those.

likely from the explosion. one neighbor called it the loudest blast he's ever heard. the conditions of the two people injured are not known at this hour, and the cause of the explosion is under investigation. army investigators are trying to determine what caused a deadly helicopter crash in maryland. one person was killed and two others injured when the blackhawk went down near the third hole of a golf course. people nearby said just before the crash the aircraft was spinning and pieces were falling off. the chopper was on a training exercise when it went down. well, some new court documents in the investigation into prince's death detail his struggle with opioid addiction. it was hiding in aspirin bottles not in prince's name but in the name of his long of time friend curt johnson. what's still not clear is where prince got the powerful narcotic fentanyl. that ultimately took his life. new this morning, a very high-profile push to reduce the stigma that surrounds mental
