>> at 25 years old, i was a widow. and my whole life was kind of turned upside down. so i decided to do asf. >> that's accelerated free fall. she wanted to learn how to do it herself. >> i had fallen in love with my instructor jeremy. >> they're passionate about the same thing. >> then her life took another turn. >> we went out on an excursion. on the way back home, a guy ran a red light and t-boned the car. jeremy was driving. and he died almost instantly from that impact. >> no! >> yeah. nicole was seriously injured. >> just didn't seem fair. like, how much can one person take? >> after eight months of grueling physio, she's walking no limp and she wants to get back to skydiving. >> wow. >> i think you could say we hit it off all right. we dated for awhile. i mean, not a long time.

life's all about choices. sometimes you make the wrong choice. this guy driving a nice morgan 44 which looks like a classic old sports car. and it is. morgan's been built since the '30s. it's not particularly fast. >> oh! >> oh, no! >> oh, my god. >> that driver pulled out onto the road thinking they could keep pace and get ahead of the driver already on the lane. >> exactly. this looks like it was a cars and coffee gathering. he was pulling out of that event and i guess thought he had the beams to get in front of that coming down the hill. clearly it was the morgan driver's fault. however, some folks are saying, hey, you know, the guy instead of hammering on the horn, maybe you use two hands to try to steer around that morgan. there was plenty of space on the right-hand side to maybe, maybe avoid this incident. >> it doesn't look like that person was trying to slow down

at all. >> she speed limit in this area was reported to be about 50 miles an hour. no idea how fast that car was going. no injuries reported in this incident. now, that incident could have been avoided. this next incident definitely could have been avoided with a cool, calm head. three smashes rendering that new volkswagen -- >> what's kicked this off? >> nobody knows. it's listed as a road rage incident. the driver got out of his car to confront the driver of the hyundai suv. that's what set off the suv driver to ramming mode. reports are that both drivers were arrested in this incident. and the driver of the suv may likely face charges of destruction of property. put him on. >> brendan here just got home on this day. there was a gift that his friend had gotten for him.

police spotted footage from cedar hill well check. as the officer approaches this fence, he sees this girl in distress. >> oh. >> that's a great dane stuffed under this fence. tried to, i guess, squeeze out underneath the fence. because the dog owner was out of town and the caretaker was about an hour away. so the officer takes out a screwdriver he had with him and just starts unscrewing the slats in this fence. the dog's not happy. [ barking ] >> how big is that great dane? >> a bear? >> they're kind of hoping once they're able to free the dog instead of turning and attacking, she'll run away in fear back inside. >> any word how long she was stuck under there? >> police believe about half an

hour. enough to distress the dog. it worked. they unscrewed the fence and the dog went back inside. a slightly more technical rescue here in alberta, canada. firefighters, other technical rescue team members showi ining to rescue horses that fell through the thawing ice. >> yikes. >> this is a tough one. firefighters here trying to get out on the ice but not spook them, not put themselves in any danger. this guy trying to work with a chain saw in very slippery, unstable conditions. you see different horse heads sticking out of the ice out there. >> oh, you weren't kidding. it's a ton of horses. >> once they break open the ice, they're able to rescue seven horses from this situation. >> wow. time to invest in a fence. you ever wonder what life would be like if you had your own personal genie?
