channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. here is the latest now on the driveway shooting in bucks county. it happened on north marmick drive in southhampton township and tonight police say that the shooter was an off duty philadelphia police woman and the victim was her husband. "action news" reporter bob brooks live at the scene with that story. >> reporter: jim, this is heart breaking for this family, they have three young kids and all three of them were home inside of the house where this happened. it happened in the driveway and the shooter a philadelphia police officer. since around 6:00 a.m. this is the scene of the home of a family of five. a husband, wife and their three young children a case detectives are not tabling lightly. the woman has shot her husband, she is a police officer and north hamilton police chief michael clark. >> the shooting involved an off duty philadelphia police

officer. it happened in the driveway of the home and the gun used was not the officer's service issued weapon. their identitied are being withheld. >> at this time we are not releasing the names of the individuals involved. pending the outcome of the investigation. >> detectives say that the couple's three young children were home but inside the family is described as quiet but good neighbors. >> they have lived there about a year. good neighbors. no noise or problems, nothing like that. very polite kids. >> we are told that the couple is renting the home up for sale. the husband was shot in the midsection. and being treated at a local hospital. >> the good news is the husband is expected to survive. and as soon as he is able to do so he'll be questioned by police. bob brooks, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. the nationwide manhunt for the so-called facebook killer

the campbells soup company has died at the age of 88, doris hill hamilton was a philanthropist that gave away millions to philadelphia's cultural and educational institutions. she died at her home in florida. they celebrated the 17th annual blue mass today in trenton. ♪ ♪ law enforcement officers from mercer, monmouth and ocean and burlington counties filled st. mary's cathedral the blue mass is sponsored by the dice diocese and a chance to offer prayers to law form and their families and communities. several philadelphia prisoners have a new leash on life tonight. they spent weeks learning how to care for shelter dogs and training them to be adopted.

56 and philadelphia dropped to 62 degrees but it has not made it to allentown and reading, still in the upper 60s there. and there is definitely a breeze. philadelphia a wind speed of 15 miles per hour. and wilmington 18 miles per hour off the ocean pulling in the cool air. satellite 6 along with action radar showing we have high pressure over eastern canada and this has carved out a slice of nice for our region. clear skies throughout the day and loads of sunshine and if you look to the west there are clouds that will be advancing ahead of a warm front than will be creating dimmer sun as we head through the day tomorrow. we stay clear and with it a spring chill in the area. low of 44 in the area and 43 in wilmington and allentown dropping down to 39 degrees. it will be a cool night and future tracker 6 showing we start the day with a good amount of sunshine and clouds out to the west and high, thin clouds and as we head through the day,

the clouds advance from the west and the possible of a sprinkle or two from the poconos and most of the region is dry and with the cloud cover, it won't be as warm as today. today 69 and tomorrow 61 degrees, and the best chance of seeing the sun is during the morn hours, as the warm front continues to push to the north, we get into the warm sector thursday and friday and the high 76 degrees on thursday and a mix of sun and clouds on friday and could get an afternoon shower or thunderstorm and i don't think we'll see anything widespread and this is bad news for allergies. the allergy pollen report will be high for the next two days, the main culprit right now the trees, wheezing and sneezing through the week and should be washed out over the weekend with rounds of rain. tomorrow not as bright and sunny not a bad day. overcast by the evening hours. 61 degrees is the high.
