at philadelphia pike and washington boulevard. >> everything happened so fast. and you know, it's at a church and this is a good neighborhood. >> and newcastle police say that the suspect led police on a child chase that started at new market in wilmington and instead of stopping he fled two miles and crashed in front of saint helena's church in claymont. >> in the area of philadelphia pike and the washington street extension and the suspect fled the vehicle and fled on foot. and officers chased the suspect and a confrontation enshoes resulting into the suspect being shot. >> and james clark saw the flurry of flashinging lights before the shooting. >> i saw the police officer pull out and the sirens starting going and the cops started to run after whoever they were running after.

>> now philadelphia pike has reopened but police are still on scene. police have not released a suspect's identity or the details of the initial investigation he was linked to. reporting live in claymont, channel 6 "action news." >>. thank you now to breaking news from pike county, pennsylvania. a verdict has been reached in the trial of erick frein, jurors have convicted frein on all 12 counts including the first degree murder of corporal byron dirk son and atemmed murder of corporal alex douglas. they were shot you side of their barracks in 2014. frein could face the death penalty. >> we'll be working toward the appropriate sentencing verdict in this case. with aggravated factors that we'll ask the jury to consider

this past saturday in broad daylight. a group of men were responsible for the brutal beat down of a 25-year-old man, blow by blow cameras capture tropical disturbance all. >> it looks like they were looking in the store but no conversation prior to the punch being thrown but there is to indication that he was known to the males. >> workers in the restaurant were too afraid to talk but tell us that the victim was there for a job application and they are still in shock by the violence that played out in front of their business. >> he turned to the left and is confronted by three males and one male hits him in the face so hard and he repeatedly kicks him and punks him and there are clear images of the three men involved in the attack and investigators hope that someone recognizes the suspects and calls police and the attackers were recentless and punched and

nfl draft experience and football history is made in philadelphia. the 6 abc app is a free download for your mobile device. the pennsylvania attorney general's office says they busted an organized crime ring that rented out fraudulent license plates. 14 businesses now face charges. josh shapiro says that the ring rented out the tagged fraudulently obtained in pennsylvania. those that use the plates were able to evade the police and avoid $2 million in parking and easy pass fines and fees since 2008. a jury has been selected in the trial of david creato, the camden county father accused of killing his 3-year-old son. opening arguments are set to begin tomorrow and creato's son brendan was found in a wooded area of haddon township in 2014.
